Wow, nice job, all! Ya even brought a few Red Names to Triumph!

Wow, this is great
Very nice layout. Not too crowded, easy to read, and it doesn't make my eyes hurt! I beg that you create a CoH badge listing, because it would be completely, awesomely fantastic, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Us Heroes would love you for it.

Ya know I would love to see some type of "gamble" device on COV.
The odds would have to be tweaked a little as not to imbalance the system. But I think it would be cool.

It'd be pretty sweet, but it's City of Heroes/Villains, bro, not the Sims ;P

I want to make sure that you guys know that Ice-based powers work on the fires as well. That is why you are able to target the fires with any power.

Hey Posi - just so ya know.. Spectral Wounds also does damage to the fires. Don't know if SW does "imaginary" Ice damage or it's just a bug, but there ya go. :]

Ahh, autoreply. Hey, thanks man. I'll also try out your enhancement managing bind too - very creative
-LP -
Hey /bind-ers.
Well, I've already used /bind enter "beginchat <border #FFFFFF>$$afk Typing..." for my Enter key, and i'd like to create a similar bind for my Backspace key, but instead of /beginchat i'd like it to respond to a /tell and show me as AFK. Any ideas? Thanks in advance ;]

Wait, wait, hold on. I'm getting step 2 all jumbled up: is it "hunt" or "hunt.!" or "HUNNTTTT" or "Hunt, please." or "HUNNNT NOWSWSs!!1!1!!" or "hunt"?

Well why would it be wrong to be able to kill 50 in one shot if you have an extremely powerful AoE (i.e. Nova)? If someone can herd 50 even level minions into a central area, why would it be wrong for a Blaster to be able to kill 50 even level minions? The minions are all clustered together and are within range of the Nova. What's wrong? The only thing wrong i see here is the fact that someone was able to herd 50 minions so the Blaster could Nova them.
[/ QUOTE ]
The two are opposite sides of the same coin. A tanker able to survive that many mobs means big reward, little risk. A blaster able to take that many mobs out with just 1 shot means big reward, little risk. One means a long fight doesn't matter. The other means the fight is super short. Both lead to herding. The greatest rewards should stem from greater risk, not the safest route.
Some sort of hardcoded can't pull more cap doesn't appeal to me at all. It means if you have a skilled group that's rocking the place, you can't push yourself any harder. Nor can you really nerf the melee archtypes enough that they can't herd. They'll pop insps, they'll get buffs, and they'll do it. So unless you nerf them to the point where they have blaster defenses, they'll find a way to herd. You want to reward skill, keep an element of risk, the instant death must go.
And at the worst, if it all works somehow, and you stop mass herding but leave the 9th tier powers alone, it just means you're herding less mobs, at even less risk, just gotta do it more often.
Fights that are over instantly aren't fun. A bit of chaos, a bit of potential for chaos, that's what makes for engaging gameplay and helps to develop more skilled players.

Alright, i can see ya there. You win

Right after that he said that if you can agro 50 guys and not be defeated something is wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
Amen to that. And being able to kill 50 in one shot is wrong as well.

Fir Bolg were the Pumpkin [Pie] villain group that consisted both of the Giant Pumpkin Monster (forgot name?) and the other Pumpkin head minions that spawned from doors.

Plus, States is all over that mythological junk - uhh, i mean, stuff. Fun stuff. Amazingly and exciting fun stuff. That is fun. :]

Well, presuming you aren't joking (though i wish you were), it really is useless. I'm sure there ARE people who like to PL others, but there are only a few. And who would want to give up one of their channels for a PL channel unless they're the ones that want a PL?

Hey all. Well, i'm trying to make a macro to invite the "$target" to a channel and also send 'em a tell. The channel name is Triumph Help. I tried /macro 911 "chan_invite "Triumph Help" "$target"$$/tell $target, blahblahblah" but that didn't work, nor did /macro 911 "chan_invite Triumph Help $target$$/tell $target, blahblahblah". Any advice? :]

I noticed you had a slash in there, no slashes in binds or macros.
I think because the channel name has a space in it this may not work as one macro. You need to surround the macro with quotes, becuase it has the $$, and you need to surround the channel name with quotes, otherwise it will think the channel name is Triumph, and the invitee is "help", will give you a too many arguments error I guess.
You could try single quotes, can't recall if that works or not.
Try this:
/macro 911 "chan_invite 'Triumph Help' $target $$t $target, blahblahblah"
[/ QUOTE ]
Whoops! That was a reaction with the slash; i didn't add one when i tried it ingame. Anyway, thanks for the advice! I'll try it as soon as i get home! Thanks

Hmm... odd. It states in this this thread that Fly Speed SOs only give a ~15% flight speed boost... although i never went beyond the first 3 posts, so i never got to see what everyone else said (figure i'll get a more straight forward answer here). Could anyone confirm that Fly Speed SOs give only a ~15% boost?

Argh. I asume they're doing this for PvP purposes. Anyways, thanks guys. I guess it's not worth slotting period. At least those slots can go to use elsewhere.. Thanks guys

Okay, just figured to ask a Hami-O question myself... i really haven't swam through this enormous thread yet, but i do know that if there's a question to ask (about Hami-Os), there's an answer!
Shoot!: How effective is Hover with 3 Microfilament Exposures? How fast? Numbers please! Is it effective enough for short distances (e.g. 200 yds)? I'd like to be able to use it to compensate for the lack of vertical ability having Super Speed. I do have Hurdle, but i need something for those higher heights :P. Also for places like Skyway, when passing by, and if i miss my target in FBZ. Thanks in advance
