Oh thank god! I thought I was the only person on these boards who felt that way! EVERYBODY says how great it was. I only noticed HL's part. And I even like Maggie Gyllenhaal (ok, mostly just cuz Secretary is such a freaky hot flick, ya got me).
However, I AM the only person on these boards that would put Ghost Rider on the list. Probably like 9 or 10, but I still love that movie. -
Many positive thoughts your way. And a tip-o-the hat to the admin folks for the game time. Lets hope beating up a few baddies quickens his healing! Even if it is only a brief respite from crappy stuff. Bless you all.

I don't know if it is true, but a friend of mine told me it was actually 2 movie scripts that Spielberg smooshed together into 1 movie. One being a "Lean On Me" type coming of age flick around the kids making super-8 movies, the other being an alien action thing. I suspect I, and a lot of other folks, are gonna make this one a "wait till video" one due to all the other good flicks out right now, or coming up soon. Too bad too cuz I really liked the Goonies. And Ironik you are only 2 years older than me. Goonies was a great flick at any age! It made all kids "play time" become a real adventure. You just can't beat that.

Sorry kids, Star Trek was a great movie and so was this one. There is NO film that has been 100% with everything in the comics. If you take it JUST as it is, a fun mutant comic film, then it is awesome. I thought you were all gonna save your nerdrage for Green Lantern?

Sorry That_Ninja, no conspiracy sillyness here. I just thought it was pretty close to Portal Corps. I don't care where the set designer got the idea from. I just thought it was close. Have a nice day.
-
There ya go. Yet another reason. That HAS happened to some I have been on.
-
Thats a good idea. Toss some military equipment in there and a computer that acts as the "portal" for the i-trials and BAM! incarnate trial launch zone!

Ok, found it...

It is the whole interview, but the clip starts at 6.17 -
So the guy that plays the bad guy in GL (I never read the series so I don't know his name) was on Conan last night and in the clip they previewed (where he first sees a GL dude who is dead, I think) in the background the set looks SOOOOOO much like a Portal Corp set! It was pretty crazy. Don't know if you can get the clip seperate. I'll look.

I SOOOOO agree with Archer. That cartoon is freaking funny. Fast shooting comedy, irreverant homage to spy flicks, HILLARIOUS characters (with an odd depth for a cartoon). Love it.

Not just a WW,but a dude in a trench coat and a hat in a dark corner with access to the BM. "Psst, c'mere. I got.... stuff."
-
Very cool. Ok, somebody draw up a map so the Dev's can make it easier. (hee hee hee)
-
Oh no. Not the actual FBZ. I mean just make it LOOK like that. Ya know, military stuff around, the crates, tanks, etc. Make it look like a military staging area LIKE that.
-
I found a low level who wanted the badge, then I would jump around till I saw the smokey areas on the ground in the gulch, let them be the leader so my level dropped, then when they spawned, I was made the leader and dropped them quick. Clumsy as heck, but it got me the badge after a bunch of runs like that.
-
Ok, since I can see SOOOO many ways that it could fit into the storyline....
New Power: Praetoria Staging Area Teleporter
Level Unlocked: 50
Text: The war with Praetoria rages on, and to facilitate the attacks Positron/Mako has given you a small device that will send you to the staging area for the forward offensive. Use it to connect with other heros/villains wishing to stop Cole dead in his tracks.
As I said before, it would have to be big enough to hold a lot of folks, but since the look is going to be minimal (I am seeing an area like Fire Base Zulu) that shouldn't be too hard. -
I can only speak for Infinity, which uses RWZ way more often than PD.
-
Happened to me on my red side base. Shot a bug report. It was fixed that day. Really fast. Had I known about the "sell the generator" bit I would have done that.
-
As far as the OP, I would be all for a seperate level 50 "staging" area. It makes in game/lore sense since the whole "Praetorian Invasion" bit is the in thing. And it makes a common area that does not bother level 1-49 folks in anyway. Heck, make another Day Job badge for it. I don't think it would take up TOO much Dev time. Make it simple, looking a lot like one of the Shard military posts (without the people), throw in a base porter, and a single store, and BAM. You wouldn't have to worry about getting less than level 50 people on your team anymore.

Quote:Did they do that if you Hulu it? Or is the same music there? I know they did that on the DVD's (made me sad), but the writing is still spot on. I just watched the "Turkeys Away" episode last night and it was still just as funny! Watched on Hulu though.Do not, I repeat do not bother with WKRP. Yes it was a hilarious series in it's time but what they did to it on the dvd release is a crime. The studio didn't want to pay licensing fees to keep the original music (actual rock hits from the time period and earlier) so they instead replaced it with generic trash from some studio band.
-
Well, if no longer airing shows are on the table...
Taxi. Ensemble cast of taxi drivers in NY. Hillarious funny.
WKRP in Cincinnati. Radio station hillarity before Newsradio (which I also reccomend) If you only watch one episode make it the Thanksgiving one. So funny! -
So AV's always go for the highest threat level? What if 2 AT's end up being the same Threat Level? Who does the AV go after? I'm trying to get this figured out. I have sometimes pulled aggro with my blaster from targets. But if I am reading these numbers right, that should just about never happen. Well, if a Tank or Brute is in there anyway.
-
Z you rule! And not cuz of the pic (which is funny), but because you read this stuff! I wouldn't send my most hated enemy to the "Suggestion" forum. It is filled with haters, doomsayers, and fanbois who pounce on you if you say anything bad about "their precious". So thank you.
BTW: I always pictured you not as Dakota Fanning , but more like Rene Zellwiger (sp) (hee hee hee) (runs and hides) -
Quote:Im cornfuzzeled by this. Does that mean the TauntDurationRemaining has various times that it starts at depending on who is doing the taunting? Cuz the AV's change targets pretty quick sometimes. And it seems to me, that when my Brute drops a red pill, and hits way harder, I get attacked more. I always assumed my threat level rose with my damage dealt. Which one beats out the other one, a succesful taunt, or threat level?Uhhh...what?
Attacks and other effects from other players don't reduce the time that you have aggro. And doing damage yourself doesn't increase the time that you have aggro. Doing more damage adds to your Threat level, which isn't a time value.
The only part of the Threat formula that cares about time is the (TauntDurationRemaining * 1,000) value that is there, but nothing that another player does can reduce that. -
That one cracked me up too. We are not gonna stop the crashes, we will just tell you better when it happens.
NOTE: Fanbois, please don't jump in here with your Dev Defense Tier 4!! I just thought it was funny the way they said that is all.
