  1. Someone's been watching Tiger & Bunny?

It's an amusing idea, but probably mechanically wouldn't work too well. Perhaps we could just be given an El Super Mexicano costume set?
  2. Below I've given a copy of my build. It's a general purpose/frankenslot build, and is quite effective, but if you're looking for something particularly high-end for Defense or Recharge, it may not be an exact fit for you.

A few notes on it (and Earth in general):
~Stone Spears is admittedly a rather...sub-optimal power, but it's just so cool that I use it anyway. Since I know I'm going to be using it, I slotted it to get the most mileage I could out of it. If you do not intend to have a similarly scandalous love affair with it, those slots are probably better spent elsewhere.

~Hot Feet + Mud Pots sounds cool, but in practice, isn't so much. The range on Mud Pots is just too small for really effective synergy.

~I don't really recommend Hurl Boulder. Unlike your other powers, it knocks enemies back, rather than down, and you generally want them close to you for effective smashing and melting. The -Fly is nice, but Ring of Fire also will provide that, and is overall a bit more effective as an attack. I'd caution over using either immobilize power more than necessary though, as enemies you can't knockdown are enemies that can more easily punch you in the face, and that's bad.

  3. Very much like this. Would like something similar for the Inventions tutorial, really. It's not hugely annoying unless you change sides, and you at least get a little benefit for your time, but in some cases, I'd rather the ability to just organize 'em straight outta my list.
  4. Dominator Psionic Mastery isn't listed on the main page. It can still be accessed through the drop down menus, though, but because of that, it doesn't plug in the numbers.

Edit: It appears this may be because it's called as "Domingator" rather than "Dominator"

  6. I haven't seen First Class yet, but I remember hearing somewhere that, as Fox realized that people liked the first two movies and not the second two, it was written as a prequel to those first two, but that it (and, presumably, and future ones) will be ignoring X3 and Origins.
  7. Okay, so, week late due to the American delay, but weird theory of the whatever (stop me if this is old).

It's obvious that River couldn't join the battle because she knew she couldn't change her history, but anyone else think that military girl who died might also have been River? A younger, more reckless River, who was willing to try and change her past for the Doctor's sake? It seemed very conspicuous that she knew the Doctor and he didn't know her...like maybe...her past is his future (okay, that's a lot of people, granted). Plus, River knew what was going to happen to the Doctor at Demon's Run, and that seems like the kind of "spoiler" he wouldn't just go telling her past self. Not sure it's very likely, but I think it'd be a sensible twist.

Well, many of those things are just templates, in a lot of cases it really doesn't matter what the monster is, as long as there's a monster. Of course, that's part of the weakness of the movie by the looks of the trailers: there will be 30 other horror/monster movies this year (if not just this month), and nothing we see here seems to set it apart from the pack.

Are you happy to have an empath on team that has heals but does not use them? Happy to have a DA scrapper in team but only toggling half or a couple of powers? No it's not efficient and does not benefit the team.
If you're spending so much effort watching just to see whether your teammates are using the powers "properly", it sounds like the real weak link in the efficiency chain might lay somewhere else...
  10. All of the Total Radial and Radial Superior support pets are untargetable. This applies to both the current Lore pets on Live and the new ones currently in Beta.

    Family vs Family

As indicated there are two badges. One's for defeating "Marcone" Family bosses and one's for "regular" Family bosses. The latter is the one you need. The ones you got in Striga counted...the ones you got in PO didn't. The quick check on a given boss to determine which he counts as is to read his info. If you see the word "Marcone", then it counts for Gangbuster (and not for the weapon). If it talks about the hierarchy of the Family, it's for Untouchable. It's always one or the other though, none of them count for both. The quick reference by zone is:
Villainside zone, non-instanced: Counts for Gangbuster
Villainside, instanced: Counts for Untouchable unless the word "Marcone" is in the boss' name.
Heroside, non-instanced or instanced: Counts for Untouchable

    No Escaping!

Keep in mind that for the BAF, the minions that can be controlled die fairly quickly anyway. Plus, since you're dealing with bosses and higher for most of the raid, the magnitude on most control powers in and of itself is going to be meaningless. What you want for a BAF is copious amounts of damage. Put down those escaping Commandos quick as you can, and let splash damage handle the other prisoners. Mow down those 9CUs and Vickies before they become a significant threat.

If you can go Permadom, then a Fire/Fire/Fire Dominator seems like it'd be an excellent choice. You can slow down the escaping minions considerably with Hot Feet alone, you crank out damage like a damage crank, and you're even able to stop the ambushes cold with a couple different powers. Not having Permadom will be more limiting, though, so if you can't pull that off, I think the next best bet would be a Mastermind (especially once the i20.5 changes come down), since you have versatility of abilities and getting to be in more than one place at a time is quite handy for the escape phase.

For Lambda, the two keys are going to be survivability for the collections, and a non-standard damage type for Marauder. Scrappers and Brutes can both be "tough enough", as can some of the support classes. If you go for melee, it also helps to not have your survivability based significantly on an aura that's going to bring a lot of aggro. The next thing to consider is your type of damage that Marauder doesn't resist through the roof. Of course, the best there is Psionic, but there isn't any Psionic melee, so beyond that, stray away from the sets that are entirely Smashing or Lethal damage.

An Energy or Fire Brute seems like a strong contender, with Electric armor good for defense, since Praetorians love their energy damage. If you're more interested in support, I could see a Sonic/Sonic Defender working pretty well, too. You can be reasonably tough during the collections, and every little bit of Resistance debuff is going to be a boon for helping your team damage the big dog.
  14. What is the younger generation for, if not to humiliate with our own uncoolness?
  15. When I think "pixie", I tend to think "nature powers". I'm not sure how well the visual effects would work with what you want, but my first impulse would be Plant/Storm.
  16. Had this happen to me the other day (rent was only about 2 weeks late, normally don't lose power/control that quickly, I don't think). I was able to manually "reset" it by selling and re-buying the generator in my base, for what it's worth.

  21. I'm a little disappointed that they've apparently changed the English cast, but looking forward to it nonetheless. And hoping, for that matter, that it does well enough they do a new anime series that more closely adapts the manga's story.
  22. I detect remarkable amounts of both truth and hilarity in this topic.
  23. You have to buy the packs to use 'em in AE. Maybe that's why?

Yep. I was one, waiting years for something substantial and new for my 50s to do. I was given two missions. The problem is that the vaunted new "endgame" has less actual new endgame content than i10 did, at best equivalent to i9 or i13.

Closer to half, when you factor in Taunt and Build Up. We've got three and would need four more. Given some of the previous statements about how long the first three took, though...I wouldn't hold my breath.
