It's a really neat idea, though at an initial glance, looks like it'd be kinda overpowered. What I really like is the "trick" of the set by allowing the single target debuffs to spread when under the effects of the group debuff.

*Notices this thread after the other one*
HOLYCRAPITSAHEADLESSHEADAWESOME.
Feel like the limited time aspect is kind of a jerk thing to do, but I have a feeling it will accomplish its sinister goal of making me buy this quickly rather than wait for when I have a use for it. -
The vampire collar and the brain-in-jar are really cool, and while I don't have any use for them yet, they're definitely going on my "buy if I come up with a concept that uses it" list.
I'm assuming the snakes for the Medusa hair don't move (if only because Golden Girl would pitch a fit if they do). Makes me think it might be a little awkward looking in practice, but still, I admit it looks darned cool, too.
The faces I'm not too sold on. They're all a little too goofy looking for me (especially the vampire one), but outside of that, looks like a solid set. -
Quote:Well, we can't try Halloween stuff either, unless we previously had a level 15+ on Freedom, or want to spend the time to level one now.Now that's just troll :'( We can try out the Halloween stuff, but what's the use? They promised us TW, we haven't heard nay-saying or sayings of shenanigans from rednames regarding the statement, so it doesn't feel fulfilled :'(
Of course, if there were a Titan Weapons set to play with, that'd be all the more impetus to go ahead and level someone to 15 on test, wouldn't it? -

I would describe it as more "eastern" looking. Most of the powers looked like something you might see Kilik doing in Soul Calibur, and tier-9 was a slow motion leap in the air in the style of Eagle's Claw.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I was essentially convinced of it after about one mission from her. While Twinshot is slightly more coherent, her general demeanor, her patronizing attitude, and her penchant for goofy slang are still pretty noticeable. It seems pretty clear the devs were trying to draw that comparison.
Then again, you're known to hate the whole "Praetorian Mirrors" aspect of the parallel dimensions, whereas I really find that part fun, to the point basically all my Praetorian characters are, in some way, a "mirror" of one of my Primals (or vice-versa), so it might be natural for me to assume one thing and you the other. -
Quote:So basically it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff? This allows me to play as if my level 50 tank was fighting crime in Paragon years before my Street Justice scrapper started, at the same time allowing for the events in Galaxy City to be happening right now for both of them. How so? Here's the SERAPH explanation. The Galaxy city event represents a really big bobble, heavy enough to create a water-well or tidal-pool in the time-stream, one that is drawing other bobbles closer to it, whether from behind or in front, it doesn't matter.

Quote:I think by "cliche", he's referring to the fact that, let's face it, the guy's got several marks against him.

Quote:I think that's been what most people are talking about when they say "spear" in this topic, though that might be my own narrow imagination speaking. That's because what Mina is using is not a spear, but some kind of polearm. I'm not sure what kind, though I want to say "naginata," but the point is that hers has a slashing blade at the end.
Edit: Actually, looking at the picture of Valkyrie on the wiki, it looks like my memory was in the wrong. Yeah, her spear is entirely of the pokey variety. For some reason, I was thinking there was a blade on hers, but I must have been confusing her with the old Battle Maiden. -
Quote:If I made myself too easy to misunderstand, then my apologies on that one.But you did imply otherwise. That's one part that does make sense to me--that Malta would use the Sky Raiders as cannon fodder or stooges. What doesn't make sense is the way they go about it. There should be no "Peter from Malta" or whatever the guy's name is, there should be no Zeus Titan. There would just be some mysterious employer who is never heard from again after your hero foils the plan, and any investigation as to his identity leads nowhere after numerous false leads....possibly with Indigo popping up and telling you to come talk to her when you're level 40 because if the people behind the plot are who she suspects they are it's too big for you to handle.
Honestly, I do like your solution as well, though there would definitely have to be a link back at higher levels, or some way to make the connection later.
Quote:Besides, this arc clearly takes place after the Eternal Nemesis arc chronology-wise, even though it's before it level-wise (as in all instances where this happens, a bit of mental gymnastics is required), so Lockheart is gone. Nemesis may not be actively backing them at all anymore. -
Quote:I've just sort of assumed that Sutter takes place after all the other Sky Raider arcs, including the Silver Mantis SF and the 20-30 Vigilante mission, and Duray's basically just said "**** it, burn 'em all, I don't care anymore."Primal Duray, while seeming to work with Praetoria, is really working with his Praetorian Counterpart Colonel Duray, so that the two can eventually team up to perform a double-cross against Emperor Cole, and thus pave the way for normal humans to take over both worlds.
-
I don't really even care about the damage type. I think the point is that "Staff Fighting needs to have at least one spear model, and Valk, who's been carrying a spear on her back since forever, should probably be able to use it.", and that's a point I can get behind.

One would assume the cool storylines are the reason there's a lack of teams. Team content and story content are generally mutually exclusive concepts. It's one thing to call in a few of your friends and coordinate missions, but you're not going to get that out of random pick-up groups, so if people want the story, it behooves them to stay solo.
-
Quote:Hence use of "tied to" not "working for".The Sky Raiders are mercenaries. Nemesis provides them with stuff and uses them as pawns in some of his plots, but that doesn't mean they're in any way loyal to him.
Yeah, they're just be unwittingly used by him via Lockhart. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. -
-
Quote:That's the mission that everyone complains about because it doesn't make any sense given previous lore.(And isn't there a mission that shows that the Sky Raiders and Malta have fairly close ties? Or am I confusing that one, too? Guess I might need to go replay some of those SR/Malta mishes...)
The Sky Raiders are tied to Nemesis, not Malta. -

Zwil's fairly repeatedly gone on record as saying they have a plan for who it'll be, specifically, so I don't see that happening. I think the most we can hope for is the trigger in our hands in the final villain arc.

Quote:For real this time? Hurrah!Beam Rifle
- Shock Rifle and Devastator weapons should now be available choices for Beam Rifle characters.
Any chance the other coupla missing guns were also investigated?
Quote:Character Creation - A Random Costume Set will be selected upon entering character creation.
- Character creation data will not be reset after backing out to log in screen or character selection screen.

Quote:I want bigger, obviously.... it's the size of his BODY. I mean, my GOD man, what do you want?
Totally mean it, too. When I imagine, say, the Hulk waving a girder around, it seems standard that the girder in question should be longer than he is tall. And that's sort of what I envisioned for this set in general.
...but I'm willing to compromise if the set's coming out in time for this event!

They're in the Celestial Tier-9 VIP set, available as standard wings with closing and flapping, or as a stationary "always open" back detail.
