Close, but incorrect. The second i is a long e sound.

The moral of the story is when the French meet the Native Americans and then build a fort, a terrible word occurs.

    Isn't multiculturalism great guys?

I'm so glad we all get along so famously.

Actually, that article just says that he put the American spellings into his dictionaries, meaning that Americans were spelling it like that before his time.

Also, my theory on some of the off the wall pronunciations of British place names probably comes from the name being around for so long, but the way the locals pronounce it slightly changes over the year.

Oh crap, that's too serious. Pretend I said something culturally insensitive instead.

Honestly, I'm just glad that there will be more people around at random times to talk on the forums. My insomnia will be forever-lasting!

That's quite possible. It still continues to surprise me that I haven't gotten a smackdown for my name/avatar on the forums or in game.

Also, I freakin' miss the old smilies. The new tongue smiley looks too much like a little kid who's teasing someone. The old one looked more like a reaction to something stupid, which entertained me far more.

  12. I'd forgotten this thread existed.

Lighthouse was as arbitrary as Cuppa was, don't be mistaken. Moreover, he got personal with the posters, to the point where if he decided that he didn't like someone he'd hunt them down and mod/delete/lock anything those people had to say... trust me.
Oh I know that for sure. When Lighthouse was around, my threads would just magically disappear. Best part, I couldn't think of a time where I ever did anything to annoy him.

It just recently occurred to me that he probably thought I was a sockpuppet for LaserJudas. It'd be pretty sad if we were the same person, as both of our post counts are rather high. That'd be some epic sockpuppeting.

Pilcrow's avatar was removed because it was potentially offensive?
Then why the hell are my 80 different avatars over the years considered fine?

I wasn't really aware of the original UD phenom when it was happening, but I am kind of nostalgic for UD's brief and anticlimactic return to the forums years later.
I'm still convinced that it wasn't the original UniqueDragon. Someone must have bought the account.

(Man I should have been following this thread, now I'm quoting 3 people at once.)
  13. Pfft. This thread? Take a look at the Dev Digest. It exploded into a mass of broken code.

Admittedly the rest of the train laughed and applauded, I probably should feel bad about it but why, oh why, do you lot have one of your many accents where everything ends in a question, IT MAKES ME WANT TO STRANGLE YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!
Oh, don't worry, it bothers the crap out of Americans too. It's not so much of an accent as it is a sign of utter stupidity.

As for crazy place names, try Michilimackinac on for size. That's always a fun one.
  15. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I'll definitely have to give this one a shot. It sounds right up my alley.

Coincidentally, I'm a 21-year old amateur with ADD.

... and I've written 3 arcs about vampires.

Maybe the author is the bizzaro me?

Weird... I wonder where my posts went. It's not like I said anything bad, or anything. I wonder why they would've been pruned.

Wht are the level ranges, and could i use the Drakule trilogy for my review thread?

    Eco

    [/ QUOTE ]
The first two Drakule arcs have a 25-54 level range, and the third has a 40-54. "Tis Nobler in the Mind is 40-54, and Fighting Freedom is 21-30.

If you want to use the Drakule trilogy for your review thread, I have no problem. Just make sure to use a character that can solo EBs.

MA made people equate "not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars on new books" with "irrationally fearing anything new."

MA made us argue about 4th edition.
  21. Forgot to update this earlier when I did it, but I've changed the custom minions in the last mission of 'Tis Nobler in the Mind to Standard Assault Rifle and Standard Regen to get rid of that annoying Shuriken spam.

  23. Arguing perhaps isn't the best term, but my point is that you're still making stabs at him, while making yourself blind to anything he says that isn't quoted.

OP, despite what your title erroneously (or dishonestly) implies, "positive threads" are indeed allowed. They simply aren't entitled to be free of dissenting opinion. Nor should they be.

    Negative =/= non-constructive

No, but needlessly sarcastic, rude, insulting vitriol (such as, for example "I wish it could be erased from the database") is.

You know, ignoring someone is more than just pushing a button. You actually have to ignore the person. Continuing to argue with someone while you can't see their posts is frankly childish.
