Actually when I first started playing, a full team was alot better with a tank, a healer or 2 and debuffs.....or you were in for a rough time. NOW days, unessasary, any 8 half decent players can storm thru missions with no tank, no healers and no buffs/debuffs. Maybe a few tf's require these, but 95 percent of the content sure doesn't! And when we are all gods, we can solo 95 percent of the game set to +4/x8 with any well built toon! Yay! I just hope they dumb it down more and more, so I can knit while I play too! -

I get that they're trying to make the slots as broad as possible but...damn...nothing pops out at me as 'must have!' I don't have hasten and Rage is perma so +recharge one is out. Being softcapped defenses wise to all but Psi and rocking atleast 30% resistance to everything but Psi means the resistance one doesn't appeal (even at 2/3rds the enhancement ignore ED still only going to get an additional 5-10% resistance).
Looks like the raw damage one is the way to the go (45% damage enhancement ignoring 2/3rds of ED which means it gives an overall 30% damage increase, nice)!
Edit: It also looks like they've actually reduced the grinding required from the original incarnation shown during Going Rogue.
The 'very rare' Incarnate abilities require 'any 2 rare incarnate salvage' whereas in the Going Rogue version it required very specific components and worked a hell of a lot like the Invention system (so you'd need 1 very rare salvage, 1 rare salvage, 1 uncommon salvage and a large number of incarnate shards (like 50) to unlock the very rare slot).
If memory serves me correctly the TF reward salvage was already uncommon so upgrading it would turn it into a rare.
Also in that incarnate the drops from the Taskforces were actually completely pointless since none of the good recipes (i.e. above uncommon) actually used them and instead used 'very rare' salvage that was the equivilent of a purple drop (dropped from any level 50 enemies but good luck actually getting the one you want within the timeframe of a year without massive farming). -
They are just getting you all used to spending your cash on "packs" and "boosters", so they can quietly turn this game into a Monthly Fee game AND a micro-transaction game!
Pure greed! 10 bucks for a few effects and costume pieces, or a whole pack for emotes....wtf??? lol
Costumes and auras and stuff like that should be free! Dead free!!! Again....pure greed!
I don't have as big of a problem with charging money for powers or content....altho, again, seems like something a micro-transaction F2P would do, not a Subscription game. But, greed is king in business!
(I exclude Martial Arts pack from my criticism.....cause Ninja Run is just that damn good! The only pack I have ever bought)
P.S. Actually I lied....wayyyy back I got the Good Vs. Evil 10 buck pack, so I could enter bases, I didn't have CoV at the time. Also got that Jump pack....which I use alllllll the time on every toon at some point in their careers....goes well with Ninja Run....the 2 together get me around quite nice! -

2 things......
1. IMO all tanks need taunt to be the great "tanks". Period.
2. My DM/Inv Brute is as good or better than most tanks out there. Except Psi heavy enemies, of course. So, SOME brutes can tank perfectly. Tho, SOME brutes are way too squishy! If you have some buffs on a team tho....I think most brutes can tank nearly as good as their tank counterparts. After enough buffs....they are just lower on the HP's...tho....stuff will die faster with a brute tanking.....so it's a draw.

Again......if it worked when you did a fresh install...then fresh install again!!!! Make sure everything is cool, play a few days, or even a week....if everything stays cool....install other programs one at a time!! And a day or two in between installs! If a program is ruining your preatoria experience, it will be found out this way. And problem solved, or at least diagnosed!
And if for no reason after the fresh install, before installing any other programs, you have the same issues....then it is hardware related!!! Something is bad, or going, or overheating of something is happening.
Do this and see what happens, or chase your tail for days.......up to you!
p.s. Like others have said tho....celeron is not a gaming chip, by any means......upgrade your motherboard and chip...even to a slightly older chip....Pentium or Athalon.....nothing else....and you will probably be quite happy!!! Good luck playing any newer games, MMO's anyways, with a celeron!! Also, celerons do not meet minimum requirements of any newer game out there!!! They just cannot handle games! -
Dude. I do not want to be rude, at all! So please don't be mad.....but it seems you are just dismissing at least half the advice ppl are giving you. You keep saying you know about computers...then did it not occur to you that the Celeron is simply not good enough, period! Maybe the 3 days after install that it worked was a fluke, and so maybe it will never run good on your computer. Ever! Celerons suck, no offense! Some computers just don't react well to some games, or some games after a major update. Or, try another clean install, and this time install NOTHING except CoH! No windows updates , nothing! No programs of any kind! If it is a computer that came with alot of preloaded software, and that is on your recovery disk, uninstall all the stuff you can. If it works again like last time...change nothing!! If after 3 days or so it takes a crap again, then trust me when I say, it is a hardware issue. And by that I mean something is faulty or overheating. If you change NOTHING and CoH suddenly works bad, then it has nothing to do with any software, and you have a hardware issue plain and simple. If it continues to work, leave it alone and keep playing, or install things one by one. Play a couple days before installing the next program.
Failing all that above, my advice is much simpler than the rest......take it to a repair shop....one where the guys know something about gaming as well, and let them peek at it. Anything could be wrong....anything. And most people can not diagnose problems with motherboards and other things like that. Let some experts look at it. Obviously no one here has the answer, so I would quit hounding people for an answer. Sorry, but I say hounding, because you are being quite critical of some peoples attempts to help, and keep repeating over and over again that it worked for 3 days. Again, maybe a fluke!! And you may never get it going again! Not like this anyways. Go let someone look at at that knows more than you!
Or, stay out of Preatoria, it gets old quick anyways! Been out a few weeks and I, and many others I know are done with the zone. Easier to get to 20 in CoH or CoV and just switch factions after! I subscribe to the belief floating around, that as it is right now, Preatoria is just a big tutorial.

I can go in there with my pretend video game play money, bid high on all the things I need, so I don't have to wait more than 1 second to see "bought", and pay way too much for most things....but say to myself, hey, who cares, it's only pretend video game play money and anyone who spends a second longer than they need to at the auction house is wasting their subscription money......just to rake in billions and billions in pretend video game play money!!! No, this is not the issue. UM run perfectly. This is NOT a normal graphics lag problem. Adjusting graphics, as I've stated about 4 times, makes no difference whatsoever. I can turn UM up very high outside of Praetoria,a nd turning all graphics to minimum, make no difference in Praetoria.
My system exceeds the recommend specs. It should work. It did work for free days after my system restart. The hardware runs Praetoria fine. Something odd is happening here, and it's not because my system is inadequate.
I give up. People here are too obssessed with the easy answer and not at all interested in actually reading what I'm saying. Could someone lock this topic please? -

But Stamina at lvl 1 or 2, and anytime before lvl 10......way too good to be true! What are we gonna give up for this is what I am wondering...???

I have the same issue, also on Guardian. Sent a support ticket over 2 days ago now. Haven't been able to make a new toon since then.

My guess, you won't be able to slot Stamina, and it will be as effective as it is now with no slots. Physical perfection popped up in the epic pools.....hmmm....me thinks they gonna say that due to IO sets end discount and more end available in the epic pools, that a free Stamina power with no slots is fair, considering we can now pick 3 new powers. Tho for me, that will only free up 2 more slots tho...since I only ever slot stamina with 2 extra slots, and nothing for anything else in fitness. If you ask me, we will have 3 new picks to take, but no slots hardly for them! unless we get to pick 3 slots instead of 2 earlier than the 30's.
Overall, I don't like the idea at all! I think something is up and we will not like what they do with it. Like someone else said, there will be a trade off for such a nice perk! lol -

That's because not everyone is suppose to be a continuously running machine of death and mayhem. I can see regen scrappers with both QR and Stamina, both maxed out to ED, with end reduction in their attacks and toggles coming close but still once in a while I still need to pause for a moment before plunging into the next large hazard spawn while soloing.
If what you say is true, and I gotta rest soloing...then not the set for me anyways!

I have the same issue. Have a few sets for one, so lots of end reduction in some attacks....at least one end reducer in anything with no sets.....one in all toggles....and my lvl 33 BS/SD is still losing all his end after just a couple groups. I think you need more than 30-35 percent in everything....prolly be an issue until you get all sets in everything that uses end, or put 2 SO's in everything. I can't be bothered with all that, so my toon is shelved for now. Just not fun.
And no, I know what I am doing....not running anything I shouldn't, like sprint or any kind of travel. Don't even have tough/weave yet...can't imagine how bad end will be then! -
Hi, starting my own thread, because I have this issue with the ghost toons on character select screen. Can't delete the one (or play either of them...get database error) and the other I never tried to delete!!! It just turned ghost!! They both have villain icons beside them, when they should be loyalist icons. They are invisible, and can't be deleted!
I know this was an issue when GR 1st came out, but haven't heard of it lately. Until that other thread someone started! I hope this gets looked into soon! I did send petitions.
On Guardian.
EDIT: OK, I must have tried to delete the other one too. I tried a 3rd for kicks....and yes, cannot delete any toon on Guardian. Me anyways. So I have no slots!!! (having GR opening day flashbacks!!!!)
Any comment from a Mod/Dev??? Is it just me or is this an issue again?? Last time it was said to be because store was down. Store appears to be up this time. -
