Hmm... well, that's why it's only a theory and not necessarily the hard truth
Although on the few occasions that I came upon this feature, that is how it worked for me. -
Okay, and here's my theory on how it works:
once the pre-set time (default is 15 days) has expired without the SG leader logging in, the next person that logs in gets made leader automatically.
Sorry if that's what one of you was trying to say anyway and I didn't get it(but if you did, I used less words

I found a similar problem when moving Salvage from your alt to the bins, 1 piece would dissapear from each stack of 20 you moved. This has been resolved now and I'm sure once they notice this little bug they'll sort that too, I've noticed it myself in both of our Insp bins.
There are quite a few bugs with bases atm and has been for a while but they seem to be slowly sorting them out.
[/ QUOTE ]
Let me guess: that happened when you moved the stack by double-clicking on it.
Yeah, that's a known bug, which thankfully I remembered just in time before storing my hard-earned Halloween salvage. It doesn't happen when you drag the stacks over, so there's a way around it. -
I've signed up as well. At least this gives me some incentive to actually sit down and write something longer than a few pages.
Username over there is Ailar - don't have a title yet for what I want to write. Don't have anything yet except the most basic plot outline... -
That's long been implemented, I think they put it in sometime in July or early August
Although I have to say, the Oversight Center is a somewhat less than optimal design - being 3x3, it's larger than the usual 2x2 rooms you'd normally put into a beginner base - and that somewhat limits your base-building options. -
I had great fun too, so thanks to the organisers for setting this up. I haven't seen so many people in one spot villain-side... well, ever
-
Hehe, that's why you gotta love costume competitions - nearly everyone there has a different opinion than the judges, and the end of the competition is only the beginning of prolonged discussions about the verdict
I also think Siege Engine had the best costume of the 3 winners, but oh well... the winner's outfit was quite good too, and it's up to the organisors if char name should influence the decision or not. *shrugs* -
Eh? Not sure I understand you... 1% isn't constant, it depends on whatever it is a percentage of - i.e. pretty much the system we have now
If on the other hand you mean a constant like a flat 10k prestige or so, then yeah - especially since you get 20k for each of the first 15 new members anyway.
However, maybe a compromise (that's been mentioned many times before, I know), would be to base it on plot size, say 100 per square (so the most basic 8x8 base would cost 6400 rent each month) -
But then, "rent fix" could also mean that the timer for the next period's rent starts when the current one is due, not when the current one is paid, as it is now...
-
Bleh, I couldn't make it yesterday for CoH-unrelated reasons... oh well, if anyone else missed it, maybe we can give it another go next weekend

Well, being Ill/Rad, I at least have Accelerate Metabolism and Radiation Infection to help out the group
But I was more thinking about the "have to run everywhere and keep the rest waiting" effect of being pre-14 -
That one is interesting for my Union toon as well - a Ill/Rad Controller called Mesmerino. Problem is, currently he's only lvl 12.9...
I'll see how far towards my travel power I can get this afternoon (don't have too much time before 6pm) - if I can make it or at least get reasonable close (say, within a mission or two) I'll just show up at Positron's to see if there's still space in the group -
If you're going for the Troll badge today, I'll be around for that as well
Alternatively, if enough folks still want to do the Skulls mission and it's okay with you (what with you being the mission holder and all), and you need extra people to help get larger spawns, feel free to give me a call as well.
-
Thanks to all involved for a very successful badge hunting session
Even got a few badges I didn't reckon with: Shady, as well as Gearsmasher & Cog Gladiator -
Both wednesday and thursday are fine for me. I'll be on from about 7pm on, just give me a call on @Ailar
If someone invites me as a lackey I can also come along for Visionary, if you should need more people for that. -
I'd like to sign up for missions 2 and 3 as well
I'm on during evenings, usually from about 6-7pm UK time. The times you mentioned on wednesday are fine with me. The char that needs the badges is lvl40.
Global: @Ailar -
I'm certainly up for Cap Buster as well - and as I said, I've got a Hero that still has the mission as well.
-
Yes, I know
But my point was that you can't get the Snaptooth mission anymore, so in order to get Toothbreaker, you'd need 5 people that still have it.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Im interested, to cap it off i have the snaptooth mission still hanging around from the valentines day event - so if anybody wants cap-buster it can definately be arranged
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I'd definitely be up for that. One of my low-level hero alts still has that mission as well, in fact.
I guess for Toothbreaker you have to finish the mission, yes? Since you have to kill Snaptooth and that ends the mission - or is there a way to kill him but leave the mission active? -
Just try and hang out in Nerva for a bit and mention over Broadcast a few times that you want to do the trial. I think many people have done it already and would be willing to lend a hand.
Also, you could join the DefiantBadgers chat channel and ask there - even if the main purpose of that channel is badge hunting, it can't hurt... -

How it should be - currently, your rent is based on all the Pretige your SG has earned.
If, for example, you had a middle sized base, and 90 million Prestige in the bank, you should only be taxed on the total worth of the base, and nothing else.
If you then spend the 90 million on upgrading you base, then that's fair enough for it to be taxed, beause you've turned the Prestige into something physical for your SG.
But taxing unspent Prestige is just dumb.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't even think the items in your base should be taxed - it's called rent after all. Did we rent our items from someone, even those we crafted ourselves with salvage that we looted ourselves? We already had to pay for placing them on top of having to get the salvage (which is another thing that flat out makes no sense - the paying for placing, I mean).
Paying rent based on your plot size, now that I can see - and the costs of the base items are fine as well (except for those that you crafted yourself), but all the rest is just an artificial construct to limit base growth and keep SGs from progressing too quickly.
(which may be necessary from a balance point of view, but frankly I'd still prefer a price increase for non-craftable items instead of paying rent for all of it over and over again) -
Bummer. Not really surprising, and also understandable, but still - oh well
-
[ QUOTE ]
oh yeah... should have been specific on how we should do this.
sorry -- sometimes my typing is faster then my thinking (well, ok... typing is almost always faster)
Shall we meet at 6pm BST at Galaxy base portal
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm, well... that presents a slight problem to the members of my Villain SG
Does anyone know if Villains and Heroes can trade with each other in Pocket D? -
Yep, I joined
So will the salvage trading all take place via the channel, or do you plan for us all to meet in a central location and have a sort of bazaar? -
Well, thanks to all who came along
In the end we did it with a team of 5, with minor difficulties (one team-wipe when fighting the Thorn Tree), but that's all just progress towards the debt badges
Was fun
