Storage mystery

Nothing huge here, and not sure if this should be in the technical support section, but has anyone noticed their inspirations not stacking up properly? I was sifting through what we had stored in our base, to find two 'break free' inspirations (the same size) stacked beside each other, and not together - i.e. they were following each other in the list, and not stored as one icon with a '2'. I tried to take them out and put them back in to see if it changed, but it didn't seem to want to combine them. Anyone?

This is a minor inconvenience.
If they could only fix the one that kicks you out of the base randomly, I would already be happy.

or the one that kicks you from team leader bases (after loading it all up and giving you a .01 second glimspe).

I found a similar problem when moving Salvage from your alt to the bins, 1 piece would dissapear from each stack of 20 you moved. This has been resolved now and I'm sure once they notice this little bug they'll sort that too, I've noticed it myself in both of our Insp bins.

There are quite a few bugs with bases atm and has been for a while but they seem to be slowly sorting them out.

Let me guess: that happened when you moved the stack by double-clicking on it.

Yeah, that's a known bug, which thankfully I remembered just in time before storing my hard-earned Halloween salvage. It doesn't happen when you drag the stacks over, so there's a way around it.

Oh yes - that bug is sooooo annoying.

Maybe it's my imagination but it doesn't seem to be happening quite so often now as it used to. Sadly this month I've started to get lots of client crashes to desktop when zoning to/from our base, which I never had before.

It's still bloody irritating when you're in the middle of base edit mode and it happens, wipes all your changes. It's why I still make a habit of exiting and going back into edit every few changes I make, just don't want to risk making a huge alteration and then having my time wasted by getting kicked out.

Yeah I do that too.

Also I find if I stay in base edit mode too long then my PC really starts to chug as memory usage goes up - zoning cures it. It also cures the fact that most of the stuff I have placed or moved is invisible to me when I drop out of base edit mode.

So many bugs...

I love bases in principle, I'm just starting to wonder if they haven't been perhaps the biggest waste of Dev time in the history of Cryptic. Imagine what we could have had if all that Dev time was put into power customisation, or new ATs/powersets, or new zones/maps and missions, or new villain groups, etc etc - stuff that could have benefitted everyone, instead of the small proportion who get to do base editing. I better stop wondering - it makes me sad

I don't get the resource issue, but that invisible changes bit once you're out of the editor affects me too, I think it's a universal thing though; just hasn't been fixed. It's been around since the beta along with the kick bug etc.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that suffers from this. I love to see other peoples bases, and the only ones I am able to see is the two supergroups we're coalitioned with...

Make a low-level character. Don't put it in your regular SG. Just spend some time around Atlas Plaza from time to time (especially when there's a free trial available in a magazine), and I promise you will see a lot of SG bases

Just don't forget to leave that SG when you've seen their base and the bases of the SG they're in coalition with.
