    Know of a few rp groups on the red side.
    The one that pops to my mind is probably "The Corporation".

    Who is recruiting is abit hard to tell (not a member myself, but the sg (New Heroes Union) have a few corpers in our midsts. Well their heroes anyway

    Just hope that the "que" feature will be like this. You login (pass the que) choose our server and your character... play abit and then when you feel the urge to alt. You log out of your char and gets to the characters on your server (No entering the entire password and waiting in que again).

    Else for me, looking for the tidbits of news (I look forward to the Dev Tracker), try to follow the discussion and looking for news of when the Beta will hit the EU server (no info so far).
  3. Myself I got a Fire/Fire/Fire blaster.
    I see alot of good advices given (know when to melee and when not too. Blasters give great damage but are frail as glass, use inspirations (they are there to be used).
    And then with invention sets... plan a little and get a few extra bonuses to what helps your build.
    In my heart I'm whats called a blapper. Fire/Fire has a lot of melee attacks and thus I am destined to fight close up.. alot. So its not for everyone.
    Blasters best friend is and will always be Mr Debt pool. So don't be afraid to die. (After all you don't loose anything, like in some other games).

    Atm with the high damage, the nice enchantment sets etc, the knowledge of when and when not to use inpirations, using Char (Epic pool is a GREAT help) for hold (and holding the important ones).. I have no problems staying alive.. or even soloing those nasty EB's.

    It is a hard road (and when a friend told me to try a tanker.. just for survivability (and I did) I was.. "oooo thats a difference") and you will meet mr. Floor and mr Debtman. No need to be angry with them, but use the time you meet them to ask yourself... Why did I fall now.

    I agree with:
    Know who to hold, immob etc. Take out the weak ones first or if you got the power, take out the dangerous one. (Any npc that can hold or put you to sleep).
    Use Inspirations (on any char). They are free and they are there to be used.
    Take a look at Mids, build a few chars in there or just take some time in the character creation. Look closely on Primary and Secondary and see what would be the most fun.

    The "other" me.. is.. a trial version that I used on the US some time ago.
    Why? To get access to threads that was invalid. (Weird enough it worked having a trial forum account logged in.)

    I'm an EU player. Alot of nice info that was given by the Devs was unable to me (links) so I registrated on the US via a trial account, under the same name.
    Thus I have the _EU tag behind my name.
    Hope as you do that the endtag will be removed soon.

    Stayed away from the Atlas Park and the Powerlevellers wet dream. I was determined to get my 5'th influence badge and there was not much teaming going on.
    Who's (not) bright idea was it to give MA double XP?
    Since the MA already gives huge amount of xp... was this not overkill Devs? Next time I would advice you to NOT put double xp on the MA. I've heard now of players with no vet rewards having 2 or more lvl 50. They got No idea what the rest of the game is about, and no relation to their characters. (All thanks to the MA)

    Union server has, granted, less population then any of the US servers (I think), so I don't know what it was like over the channel. The last double xp was filled with requests to join teams vs AV's etc in Peregrine. There were lots of requests of joining team. This weekend... was slow. (looks up on the reason i've previously given.)

    Oh well atleast I reached the goal I had for this weekend (even though it was a lot of solo play): Fifth influence badge.

    Specially before, in the time when the Supa trolls stayed in Skyway after a rave, when they really clogged up the zone.
    I did alot of hunting then. (Thank you WarWitch for fixing it.) It always took some time.

    But yes, we need an insentive I think to do the events, more then .. *gasp* Dare I say it.. Badge.
    Did think of a kind of temp power, but that would be too "rewardish". How about...
    Oh. Lusca is going rampant in IP.
    If the heroes do not stop Lusca, some of the zone will be under water... AND sooner or later there will be another spawn of Lusca... In talos?

    Perhaps some alternate graphic that we get in Recluses Victory, when either hero or villain side wins. And we as heroes must undo this.

    Or, doing what I get the impression of in Aion.. and the late Tabula Rasa.
    I'm talking about a npc race that spawn and is the enemies of both villains and heroes. That would be more Player vs Environment then before.

    Or... tossing another idea out.
    We can earn merits from various task. Anarchy Online with their Eden expansion thought of a global research option. Every player gave part of their money that would otherwisely have dropped to a progress bar of their choice (given choices ofc). Through this the players would gain various perks that affected their character or their faction.
    Could this be done here? Its a completly different kind of action... but thought I'd mention it.

    But back to events...
    I still would think it nifty that if the players failed to stop a fire... it would spread or.. give a new look to the zone. Just as Recluses victory was shown after either heros or villains won.

    For Skyway, perhaps the amount of trolls have gone out of control. The police are dersperatly trying to stop them, but the zone will need player intervention. Put fire's on buildings, huge amounts of trolls and supas on the street going rampant. Like I hear hollows was before the first changes?
    But alternate zonegraphic... or just more spawns of said villaingroup would be fun, I think.

    And or Making the villains lvl range become that of the player when the player fights them...
    If it is made a challange, like a public quests...
    Which brings me to one good thing about Warhammer Online. The public quests... they became a great way for making team and getting the feel of belonging to a war.
    Could some of that feel be incorporated in the game?

    Hmm.. *looks up* Lots of various ideas... Think I should stop before I ramble too much. :P

  12. Hmm to add to this idea. "That our actions give consequenses".
    How about if we FAIL to do things or FAIL to appear when an event happens... the enemy gets abit stronger?
    Take an example.
    Paladin construction (Ofc we will need some moderation or we will be killed asap, but just an example).
    The message pops up. Unusual clockwork activity in Kings Row. The heroes have to run off to Kings and stop this big hunk of junk being made... OR
    The Clockwork gets buffed. or
    The clockwork does something worse... like a stronger invasion (use the zombie invasion or similar)
    The heroes gets less defense against the Clockwork.
    Kings Row changes into a battle zone, where the PPD fights the Clockwork... until the heroes can actually fix this. (Not sure how yet)
    Getting the image of the first battle we saw in the comics, where the heroes of Paragon fight the hordes of the Clockwork King... then disaster happens. (Read it and you see what I mean).

    So yes.. Let our actions (or lack of them) give us concequences. /em signed.
    It will give us incentive to fight out in the streets and fight the GM's... cause if we don't... we will reap for the lack of vigilance.

    Since you want to collect badges (well a few anyway).
    I would advice to join a badgehunter channel as well. From time to time mayham/safeguards do pop up.
    On union we use "Sals badgehunters".

    Usually through the channels xp is usually not the big fuss, so sometimes you don't need to be exemplared down. But it will always be up to the mission holder.

    Yes, My issue is with the Powerlevelling for the most part.
    If they can find a way to reduce that its a big win. If they can find a way to return Atlas Park to the new beginning players that a big win for me.

    Yes, now it would be a nerf and people don't like nerfs (me included). Originally though it was only Devs choises that where meant to give full xp. Guess they found out they had no chance to keep a close eye on every arc and determine which deserved said status.

    But how can they reduce the PL without reducing the amount of xp?
    Wonder if Arctics -Remove autosk feature would be a good move. As yes Dave, the nerfing of xp would as you say have no effect. (Other then make a lot of people angry)

    Removing the MA building would hopefully remove some of the PL of new recruits. Loved it when they previously had to go to Peregrine and ask for team there. Atleast it was some distance away from the beginning zone.

    Well, it would not have been a flop with reduced xp. It would have been less used yes, but we would have less farm maps. (I see that as a win).
    I'd rather have that then removal of more factions and things in general, cause the Devs are responding instead of acting to what they don't like.

    I like the ideas Don. Edit2 was a nice one. Just like Oreboros.
    For me I stopped using the MA early. Ok, I've been in and out of that building, but I've not done alot of missions in it.
    There is a few things that build up to this; Removal of alot of badges (There is now little insentive to keep me in the MA). The Devs war against farming which result in removing the used method of farming from the MA. (Less insentive for me to use the MA and create arcs)
    The massive gain of XP for doing MA... etc. (I thank the Devs for giving us the "Turn XP on/off".)

    As I see it, the easiest way to cut down on the powerlevelling is to do what was originally intended. Launch the MA with reduced xp (why it was given full xp from start I have no idea... but a change of heart with the Devs). Instead of removing items and thus giving Story-creators an invalid Arc, just to stop a farming tool... reduce the xp.
    Had my shock yesterday since I finally had labelled my arc finished, then I find out that people cannot play it or find it. Reason... Something had happened to the destructive list and thus no destructive item had been "chosen".
    Oh well... Hope the Devs have/will learn that most (not all) players want the easiest way of getting things. Scratch that... They should've known that by many issues ago. ;P

    V.1.5.1 Hotfix

    CoX Arena badge Correctly made the Arena All-Star count as an Accolade. Thus removing it from Accomplishment.
    CoX: Sum totals Added sum for Exploration, History, Accolade, Gladiators, Veteran. Due to problems with sums on Achivements-Inventions
    I can't get the code to work (weird enough CoV did). For now Invention-Progress has the total sums.
    CoH: Accomplishents Moved "Apocalyptic" (Lady Grey TF) and "Temporal Strife" (Imperious TF) under subcategory Task Forces.
    CoV: Accomplishments Moved "Apocalyptic" (Lady Grey TF) and "Temporal Strife" (Imperious TF) and "Arbiter" under subcategory Strike Forces.
    CoX: Veteran Added "Honorable" (63 months) and "Enduring" (66 months).
    Added info about each 3-months reward.

    I'm all for letting people do what they want, heck to get the last influence badges you have to do some farms. However.
    Farming in itself generate more influence, yea you get more items to sell, however... Only those who farm themselves will be able to buy those recipes that has already skyrocketed far above that of the player population that do not farm.

    In example, when Purples was launched the typical price of a purple was 50mill or thereabout. Now the same purple, after the Devs launched I-14 City of Farm and Powerlevel.. whops...
    Now that same purple, after I-14, has dobbled or even become triple in price.

    I do not buy the general sentence "Farming helps the economy" or similar sentence that you promote.

    Now farming will be a part of any game, so we got to learn how to deal with it. I accept that farming is a part of a MMO's life.
    BUT
    And this goes to all the farmers out there.
    Please do not include the beginners into your farms, don't powerlevel them. Farm with friends and other farmers, please. Don't invite the new beginners (check them for their vet badges) or we will have a growing amount of players that only know how Atlas or (hopefully mercy/Port oakes) Cap au Diable looks like.
    After all you do want players to continue to play the game... and be possible customers for the recipes and salvage you put up on WW.. right (to use your argument).

    I wish to see the farmers back in PI (yes I do).

    It had a lovely feel to it and I particularly liked the eye shading. Lovely detail on the hood. Wonder how this image would be colored.

    Running Olds school myself.
    Made the arc in MA, then left it alone. (Reasons given elsewhere).
    Love getting contacts on my characters and the few odd temp powers. Love running through Faultline, doing some missions in Talos then off to Striga and Croatoa.

    The point is that if a map is removed because it is used a lot by farmers... then will we then have any large maps left?

    I'm not a fan of removing things... I want things added.
