1) at lvl 35 i'm solo'n grougs +2/5. It is all about the approach and I'm half cheating by Worm Holeing the baddies into the wall (a few get stuck into the wall). The changes are perfect other than it's still very dependant on Sigularity.

I find in live it's best to agree with Local Man (if we're talking trollers). He is right here 100%. Tornado is a must.

Now I don't know the numbers or the logic on what i'm about to type, but my lvl 50+3 earth/storm does this trick that cuts my KB to nearly zero.

Quicksand - Stone cages - (Attack away)

I think the quicksands -fly, -jump might be why they don't fly backward. That and the immob power.

Now to the OP.... Earth does low damage. Storm, however is a damage machine. It's damage is great and Freezing Rain debuffs damage Res.... which in the simplest terms means it adds damage. I'd never roll another Earth Troller (maybe), but Earth/Storm is a machine.

It is and end hog.... I find that I have to manage my shield toggles based on the situation and MUST shut off ALL travlle powers (sprint included) during fights. At lvl 43 (where mine sits) It's a monster. I'd say hang in there.


Important to point out.... I love every power set combo. I lvl most of them to lvl 40. I avoid 50s cause I got too many as it is and I feel like I have to Incarnate them =(

I see it this way... I like Arrow Blasters cause Rain of Arrows recharges fast and has no crash. Same for dual pistols. Fire Blast is epic in the damage department, but it's T9 recharges slow and has a crash. This can be said for nearly all the blast sets.

My point? Trade a little damage for a fast recharging/non-crashing T9 power. It's worth it for my play style. And it's damage can't be too bad. My RAD/DP defender can solo AVs and has taken down a Paladin (yes lore pets helped).

Hey all, Not sure if you have watched my Youtube channel (link in the signature at the bottom). I took a small break from it, but I'm planning some fun stuff for this summer. The most important is the Legacy Project. I talked to a few of my good friends in CoHs and we decided to embark on an adventure.

We are rolling new toons. We will be playing from lvl 1 to 50 while trying to play as much game content as we can. All of this will be "filmed" and edited into an on-going series. We hope that this static team will be both entertaining and informative to new players and veteran players.

We would like to extend an open invitation to anyone who may want to join us. Even if you just want to play a few missions or if you want to roll out with us every time we are on. If you just want to be a guest from time to time... that would also be cool. No lvl restrictions or restrictions at all.

We made a Super Group with a full base and a chat channel for this project. We have 4 core members with the following ATs : Brute, Scrapper, PB, and Troller. We have no restrictions. Any lvl or AT can run with us.

We are starting out on the Blue side, but will change alignments once we hit lvl 20. We plan on doing as many story arcs as we can, all TF/SFs,Trials, and GM take downs. Should be a lot of fun. It's a chance to recapture the original feeling I had playing this game way back when.

We will be playing a few hours each weekend and off and on during the week. Our core group all have jobs and school so we will try to work around schedules.

I use Fraps (the paid version). I edit with Sony Vegas Pro. I do some sound work on Sound Forge (but I still suck at sound... slept through those classes).

...and sell PvP permits to justify any work the Dev need to do to add PvP. JK. oh no.... hope they don't do that.

one thing I like about this game is there is all ways something to do. When I get bored of the rest I LOVE getting some friends together for some Gladiator matches. I'll admit that it's not something I do all the time. It is fun. In my old SG we used it to settle disputes.

They should add new Gladiators. Of course it just one more thing that they could do and won't. AHHHAAHH....If they sold them in the market they would make them... beats the hell out of all the silly vanity pets they over charge for... and they could make them a vanity pet/ gladiator... I'd buy that.

Z was also the red tag that told me "No questions on PvP will be allowed." during the live Ustream of the player summit. The Dev wouldn't even feild questions related to PvP during panels that could pertain to PvE or P. Example: When they were talking about making a Radiation Armor set. Or, even during end game.

I really think an Incarnate LVL PvP zone should be made. Along with lists and lists of PvP fixes. I don't even PvP. I would like to, but not in it's current form. Nothing bothers me more in this game than the fact that PvP is sooo overlooked.

I took a lot of heat from other players for asking PvP questions. One said "this game is 99% PvE... deal with it!!". It made me think about it. He could be right. But, then most of the hardcore CoH players are badgers. If you look around you'll see they have all the PvP badges. Yet they hate PvP (the ones that give me a hard time) and they usually hate farming. Yet their scrappers have the 3rd healing badge and thier Defenders have all the PvP badges. Makes you think.


All though I don't PvP as much I would like to... I do want to throw mad support to those who do. You fight for a part of the game that other player mock and Devs seem to hate. I got a lot of things going on atm but i might plan a few PvP events this summer.

1) Cage matches.. 1v1 in the monkey cage. No ranged or weapons. Melee sets: MA,StJ,SS,DM,ext...

2) All Weapon cage matches... 1v1 in the cage. swords,axes,TWs,ext...

3) MW3 style.... 2 teams... pistols, AR, Beam Rifle.... ext.

4) Four elements.... 4 teams.... Ice, Fire, Earth, Electric

5) Theme Teams.... Like above but any matching team.... Psi, NRG, ext...

Or we can do them all and find out which is fun!!

IMO not taking the only combo finisher you get (pre lvl 32) is foolish. If you skip it and do low lvl TFs/SFs you'll really be hurting your build. Might as well skip Staff Mastery.

Eye of the Storm adds a lot bonuses when used with Staff Mastery. For those that havn't figured out the bonuses... check this out.
