Quote:Sanctimonious much?Umm, no, that argument just plain makes sense. Theres no "Until" involved.
If you don't like it, don't play it. Play something you DO like instead of complaining on the forums about a set you probably still won't play anyway.
It blows my mind how intolerable of differing opinions people are on the internet. Your perception is your perception. It's not THE perception.
The guy has a valid point and you are definitely not the authority on how the game should be played. I don't care one way or the other, but the tone and content of your posts are not only uncalled for but belligerent in nature and is the sort of rhetoric used to browbeat anyone who has a differing opinion in way too many online games' forums. -
Alternate stance for Ninja Run while standing still.
An option to be able to pull out and keep out your character's weapon if they have one while using Flight/Super Jump/Ninja Run/Super Speed/ect.
The travel powers all ready have animations for it, but an toggle option so that it's always on when we use those powers would be great. Could use energy melee's pom poms and the like as well during flight and such.
Color changes for Peacebringer and Warshade animations. -
It looks awesome when you use it with Dual Pistols out. It just sucks that you have to keep pressing an attack button to keep your pistols out.
I agree though, the idle stance is really cheesy. I wish there was a way to toggle something in the options menu to make my character take his weapons out and keep them out while using ninja run without having to press an attack button every so often. -
I was glad to be out of Praetoria because of the difficulty, but it looks so much better than the old zones.
Sure the water looks just as good, but the scenery and mission maps aren't even close to looking as good.
Are the old zones and mission maps getting an overhaul? Will we get a chance to go back to Praetoria for higher level content? -
My biggest complaint with the whole game has always been that it costs way too much to "fund" a character.
I beta tested the original City of Heroes and enhancements have always been more expensive then they should be.
I haven't played the game in a couple of years and I came back for Going Rogue. It sucks to find out that this still has not only not been addressed but made even worse with the prices of IOs.
Farming is not fun. It's not a substitution for content. It's not some challenge or gauntlet to run to get rewarded for doing. It's mindless grinding and I think the genre is slowly, but surely weeding out tired old mechanics like mindless grinding and timesinks just for the sake of progression.
Will this ever be addressed? -
How would I set up a keybind that would allow me to use my mouse button 5 to toggle between Ninja Run and Combat Jump?

Awesome. You guys rock.

Thanks for the reply.
Hurdle and Ninja Run sounds good. I may even get Swift as well. All this time and they haven't added any new travel powers. That's kind of a bummer, but oh well.
The redraw with DP hasn't bothered me even slightly. I like the sets together. Granted I haven't played with anything else since my return so I'm not used to playing without the redraw. I have no desire to dust off my old characters either, other than to get Influence off them to slot up my new character.
The change to Defiance is awesome. No more hanging on to life by the skin of your virtual teeth just to pull more damage.
Is there anyway to transfer influence from one character to the other without relying on another person? -
Thanks guys. I took Combat Jump for the immobilization resist, but I ended up slotting it for defense and actually noticed a difference.
I think I will slot run speed IOs and hold off on SJ. I like the animations for the flips with Ninja Run. It's too bad you can slot it or use it's animations for SJ with the SJ speed and jump. -
I just hit level 10 and don't want to level up until I have a better idea of what I want to choose for power pools.
I definitely want Endurance.
I kind of want Stealth and Invisibility.
I've been playing a ranged Blaster. I have no desire to make a "blapper". If I was going to do that I would make another scrapper instead.
I have Ninja run and I'm thinking about trying to slot it up to be my travel power, unless doing so will leave me constantly wishing I had chosen a real travel power as well.
Thanks in advance for anyy and all input/advice/feedback. -
Thoughts?
I have Ninja run. Can you make that a solid travel power with slotting? If so what should I slot to do that?
If I do this will I forever be just slower than teammates who have SS, SJ, TP, and Flight? -
I just came back after a really super long hiatus and I'm definitely focusing on my DD/MM blaster. I like the power sets together and it goes really well with my character concept.
I'm having trouble deciding on a travel power. I'm liking Sprint+Ninja run, but I want something that will get me to roof tops and such.
Have there been any tweaks to travel powers other than a boost to flights speed? I have a ton of characters and I never took SS on any of them. Any changes to TP?
Also, are there any powers in either set that are lack luster or kind of a waste of a pick?
What happened to Defiance or whatever the Blaster mechanic used to be called? I'm glad it's gone, but I'm unfamiliar with the new mechanics. Anyone wanna help me out with a short explanation? -
I really don't see what the people that are complaining are freakin crying about?
Whatever, I'm stoked that the whole weekend is double exp and I'm gonna milk it for all it's worth. I was just thinking about how slow it's been lvling up since I came back after a very long hiatus. I read this thread and it brought a smile to my face. And cudos to the person who was positive about it being a balancing act that will even the odds between heroes and villians insofar as lvls are concerned.Even if that isn't the case, it's always good to see someone be so positive, specially on an MMO board.
