  1. "Now I'm gonna learn you boys a thing or two about internal bleeding."
    Bwah-ha-ha.
  2. I guess i'll take an anything slot with the namesake brute. Switched him the whole way to hero yesterday.
  3. The namesake Brute is half way there and will be a hero by tomorrow. Other than that not going to switch anything.
  4. Here's an off-the-wall thought, what new markets could COH2 be introduced into? We've seen that CoH didn't do well in the Korean market and I kind of doubt CoH2 would either but what about new markets like India?

I was surfing around wiki and was suprised to find there's a significant Indian comic industry. An admitately non-scientific google search for Indian MMO's came back with numerous hits including an Indian MMO site http://mmorpg.in/ which seems to indicate MMO's are becoming popular in India. Put the two together and you may have a fertile, new market for CoH2 (or even CoH.)

I would do things differently for the Indian market than was done for the Korean market. Instead of just translating the existing content, as was done with CoH Korea, I would partner with an Indian comic company like Raj Comics and design a city set in India with level 1-50 content specifically designed for the Indian market. I'd also translate the Indian content into English/German/French and allow the traditionally market access to it while translating the traditional content into Indian and allowing Indian players access to it.
  5. this one isn't a webcomic, it's more of a web experience:

    http://www.homestarrunner.com/

    Origin of the mighty Trogdor!
  6. Hero by Night, an excellent super-hero web comic. unfortunately the writer stopped writing it quite a while ago.

You need to find your quiet, happy place and find shelter there. That place where people don't blame you for everything and all your teammates show up on time every week.
Err...wait, you don't have a quiet, happy place do you? It's more of a irritable, annoyed, happy place where everyone gets off your lawn. You seem to be squarely in the middle of it, carry on then.

Brutes are getting a modified version of energy mastery. They replaced conserve power with superior conditioning since energy aura already has conserve power. Superior conditioning is +5 end and can be increased with enhancements.

I respeced my brute on test into superior conditioning and physical perfection and dropped 3 lvl 50 end mod IO's into each. This is the result:

    Live version - 110 end; recovery of 3.22%/sec (3.55 end/sec)
    Test version - 119.95 end; recovery of 3.57%/sec (4.29 end/sec)

This is according to ZM's guide, I didn't test it myself. I'd already switched the namesake to blue-side before I respeced him.

Nope, APP's will be unlocked for every alignment from the word go. To get PPP's you'll still have to be a villain and do the patron arcs.

What I'm really looking forward to with GR is being able to respec the namesake out of Mu and into Energy Mastery. He's SS/IN and even with all the IO's Ive put in him he still starts to suck wind for endurance after a few groups. I respeced the test copy with superior conditioning and physical perfection and the end problems are nowhere near as bad. Also laser beams eyes are much cooler than mu lightning (although lightning bolt eyes would be even cooler.)
  12. As an alternate to Unstoppable and other power's Tarzan chest beating I'd like to use the Cimeroran yell.
  13. All hail me, let the mead halls be opened and the rejoicing commence!

Got agree with Voo about the new currency, wouldn't mind see both types of merits and AE tickets replaced with straight Inf. Purples and PvP recipie purchases could still be restricted to lvl 50 heroes and villains by having the new vendors only sell to them.

Also would like to see synthetic HO recipies added to drops and vendors. If the FP can figure out how to make them so can we.

The ones that can go for anywhere between 20 - 150 mil. 50 of em. For any and all level 50s that go that 2-day route. Now combine that with the cross-faction trading/selling/emailing

Purples will be a bit different, but I don't see the really sought-after ones going for anywhere near 200 mil anytime soon after GR hits.

*shrug* I don't really have any need to buy once GR hits. For any body. For a long long long time.
I think you are confuselled my friend, you get 50 reward merits, not a-merits, for your first alignment mission.

    To quote ZM's nifty guide:
    • How to get A-Merits:
    • Do a Morality Mission. A Hero Morality Mission will give you a Hero Merit and a Villain Morality Mission will give you a Villain Merit. The very first time, though, you will get 50 Reward Merits... after that, one A-Merit. Note that it takes 10 morality points to get a Morality Mission and you can only get 5 morality points per day, thus, you can only get an A-Merit reward this way once every other day.
Note: Since Rogues and Vigilantes are not eligible for A-Merits, when they do a Rogue or Vigilante Morality Mission, they get 30 Reward Merits the first time they do a Rogue or Vigilante Morality Mission and then 60 Merits every time after that.
    • Buy one. Go to the A-Merit Vendor in the Alignment Club and trade in 20,000,000 INF + 50 Reward Merits and buy one A-Merit. You can only do this once per day.
  15. I'll play "let's you and him fight" by aggroing hostile mobs into each other. Normally I'll do this by taunting Luddites into Arachnos patrols in CaD and see who wins (or Deathsurge if he's up.) The Ghost's huge mob is great for this when he's up since aggroing one aggros all. Pretty easy to turn Potter's field into a war zone.

  17. Originally wanted to go with Cobalt Thunder since the namesake is a blue brute with a lightining themed costume but it was taken. Then I tried for Kobalt Thunder like the tools but that was taken as well. Finally went with Kobolt Thunder and have stuck with it since and have gotten used to it. The breif time I played CO I had Cobalt Thunder but it just didn't feel the same. The K seems to be cooler than the C and bolt fits with the lightning theme. Over the years I've had one dork inform me I'd misspelled it.
  18. Thanks again for running this Penny, had fun and got another shiney. Still can't believe they didn't block the O-portal as a temp power. Being able to port out and restock big candy half way throught the fight made it a lot "easier". I could see a brute doing this during a LRSF. Fight until you're out of big purples and oranges, port out, restock, repeat until they're all down.

Also at the risk of being whiney, God I hate hate 5th Column caves, especially with a MM (no offense Diz.) Oh, and lag really wasn't a factor like it was the last time.
  19. I'll bring the namesake again.
  20. I'd like in with the namesake (brute.)

I never did the trial, but I do know that the guide says you see Rularuu himself when you enter the Cathedral, not one of his seven aspects.

Last I heard, they were completely revamping CoP... not just fixing the exploit, removing IoPs, and giving it back to us 4 years later :[
    Ele,
the last time the CoP was up the end boss was Aspect of Rularuu, but that was just a renamed Ruladak.
  22. Well that was fun though I still say the first death was BS. I was at defense cap with over 2,700 hp and that rusty freak somehow one shotted me (actually us.) Sorry for scaring folks with the unstoppable crashes but at least I got out of the fight when I crashed instead of staying in like I noramlly do.

I think what makes the Hami part so hard is going in without a plan. Voo had one and it was an easy mission. I was really surprised the blues went down so fast. Were the greens even healing them?

Was disappointed I didn't get any decent recipies. Voo and I cleared the last room and I ended up with more temp power recipies than normal ones.
