  1. I use WASD for movement instead of default WQES. Also turn up turning speed a bit so i can play with one hand while my other one is busy. I only use mouse for clicking things or turning up and down while flying.
  2. Yeah i bet they need much more work than other sets. Funny thing is i was thinking about MM primaries even i don't play villians (Even can't keep my main's archenemies for long, Mercy island missions and all that running around is boring).

    So here's my two sets

    Elementalist : Fire Imps, Earth Creature (the one Earth Trollers/Dominators have) and Ice Beast (the ones we see in winter events). For attacks i think Flares/Ball Lightning and Ice Storm are good choices.

    Medieval Set: Footman (guys with short swords), Knight (a BS using melee warrior) and Sorcerer (like CoT sorcerers buffer/debuffer). For attacks i think about crossbow (single shot and double shot on second attack) but can't find anything for further attacks.
  3. Yeah that was great indeed. Thanks to all who joined and made this fun event live.

    For our next meeting... As you saw in game finding a decent time to make everyone happy seems a bit difficult. So i think Saturdays with its flexible times is the best choice for now. If there ain't any posts about time change 19:00 BST (GMT) will be good i think.

    As we all have a real life outside game some of us can't join some sessions. They either level their heroes individually or some of us run another team in close level range to Psychic Patrol and help them to catch others.

  4. Heh i am kinda excited too. Psychic Patrol (Psychic Platoon with its older name in my mind) was an old idea of me. Way too older than Willpower Tankers and Scrappers. Finally we will show residents of CoH the power of mind.

    I still didn't joined the channel, even didn't log in Defiant last night. I was afraid i couldn't control myself and play around with Psy-knight.

    If there will be only one team i can change Psy-knight to his formerself, Fiery Melee/Willpower scrapper as we have a Tanker in team. Not that i ain't happy with tankers but just for the sake of having a scrapper in team so good old scrappers won't feel left out.

    Hmmm maybe i should turn him into MA/WP scrapper and name him as Golden Boy. By the way GG, i hope you will help this new team

    One thing you can guarantee about forums: Someone, somewhere, will take anything you say in the worst possible light.

    So, the 'suggestion' that a particular member name be banned, can be viewed as a personal attack, and has been by some people (myself included), whether you were intending to joke or not. And personal attacks are not allowed on these boards.

  7. Bubbles are good, especially for tanks and scrappers. Also it will provide Mez Resistance with Dispersion Bubble which you squishies need.

    Thermal is my new favorite in Controller Secondaries. Heals, Mez Protection, Rez, Shields, Debuffs and Ally Buff all in one.

    Never go in Sonic as Jay will have a Mind/Sonic.

    If you want a really strong secondary it is Radiation. As you are rolling this hero for a regular team i don't advice you to take it, it is better for solo/team build. Other two don't give much in soloing.

    Okay i have to admit i didn't check sloting yesterday. I see you put some end. rdx. on Mind powers which is not needed.

    On Mass Hypno you can change end. rdx. with sleep or better put there some usefull set. Mine is already slotted with Hibernation which is around 25-30 lvl range and works nice. Also +recharge global bonus with 5 slots will really help you. You can change it to Call of Sandman on higher levels if you want but on lvl 46 i don't feel any need for it.

    If you get into sets in future my advice to you is look for two bonuses; +Acc and +Recharge. Mind powers have good sets for them except holds. Hold sets sucks unless it is purple one. After another check to your build i suggest to look for +Recovery ones as well. Seems like you will be running many toggles.

    Well if you feel like asking anything you can find me from @Knightly.

    For teaming, i love to. I have some low level heroes runing around on Union and on Defiant we will begin all Psy Theme team which will be a regular event.
  10. Yup i re-made Psy-knight as WP/Fire tanker. Luckily Scorch's animation ain't what i remember so i am happy with it now.

    Also a voice in my head says give up the tanker and roll another mind troller instead. I think a team half full of mind trollers barely needs any tanker or any other AT at all.

    Idea!

    Looks like a nice build. Only advice i can give is getting Mass Hypnosis way before Total Domination. On the other hand you probably think this as team build which seems more ideal solution to control mobs. But Total Domination's recharge is too long, i even kicked it out of Psy-knight's build whose has nearly perma AM. Mass Hypnosis with its short recharge time is very vaulable panic button. Also handy versus two close groups. Mass Hypno one and clear other. Even while soloing i use Mass Hypno as opening move so it sets containment for all other attacks.

    Secondary power set choices are good, team friendly powers.

    If this is your first Mind troller i want to add some tips.

    Your mesmerize has a high mag than other controller tools(less than immobs tho) so you can make boss' sleep with one hit.

    As mesmerize has a damage compenent in it sometimes mobs fire at you between stacking usage. So don't use mesmerize before popping up a green when your health bar is too low.

    Confusion, Mass Hypno and Mass Confusion are aggro free attacks. As long as enemies can't see you you can use them as much as you like.

    After using terrify always get ready for possible alpha strike (if you are using it after mass hypno). Mass Hypno + Mass Confusion + Terrify is a safest way to damage large groups.

    Only thing that doesn't look like belong to concept is Fire Epic. IMO Psy epic is useless both damage wise and long recharge time of Indom. Will. Primal Force Mastery is look better with a Prof. X like concept. Converse Power, Temp. Invul and Power Boost are nice powers to use when they needed. Also it has Power Blast which can be used via Power Gloves or something like that.

    Umm no build shown Miss.

    I have my own Telepath idea going on Union named Psy-ranger. Being a telepath is something special (leaving Levitate and Telekinesis out of build) but you will really feel lack of an attack chain if you've ever played a whole mind controller. I filled my chain with Revolver as my hero is a cowboy and AS for extra damage which you will need.

    I will put more insight after you post your build because your secondary is important as well.

    Any hero you want to create is okay with me. But as both you and Jay want to join with a Mind/Sonic controller, if you have another juicy secondary you can think it will be better. Mind is a beautiful controller set which carries all secondaries with a certain grace. I tried Mind/Rad (my main on Union), Mind/Kin ('till 20s as a scraptroller), Mind/TA (which i currently love to play) and Mind/Thermal (which i deleted by level 16, as you can guess i regret that one. He was such a nice hero).

    That's very kind of you Mereman but your 50 is already a Emp/Psy no need to enter same road again. Do what your heart desire. If you really want to play a defender there are to many choices, if you want to be an Empath you can choose Mind/Empath or so.

    I want everyone of you to enter with a hero you like to play so we won't get bored of our characters in time.

    Personally i have 3 characters in my mind:
    Willpower/Fire Tanker
    Fire/Willpower Scrapper
    Mind or Ill/Thermal Controller and you can even add FF or TA/Psy defender to that list.

    If you have that much choices in your mind too decide which one you want to see in a group, which role you want to play.

    As far as i see we have a team of 8 but if there are others wants to join and we reach a number like 10 or more we can start two teams.

    Fast healing is the most skippable until later levels power in the set. Willpower gets decent S/L res (around 70% with toughness) and can reach 35% defense versus everything pretty easily.

    I didn't mention Fast Healing mate, i don't even have it on my both tankers. I mentioned RttC which fuels your healing and debuffs Acc of mobs around you. At low levels your MoB don't have that good effect and only defense to other kinds of damage comes from HS which is pretty later, available at level 18. In a room full of Outcasts RttC helps you more than MoB during all that energy based attacks.

    Oh another advice to you Luke, never skip Taunt even if you want to solo most of the way it will help you to hold aggro during TFs or Trials you want to take part with your awesome hero.

    Please re read the text i quoted which states In my opinion Willpower hasn't got any true defense other than fast healing. if you mean regeneration then use the correct term rather than confusing matters by using the name of a power from the willpower set. You also never stated that this was only your opinion of lower levels.

    Since i used to team up with newbie and suicidial blasters

    But as you said this i think problem is slotting, no end rdx just recharge and heal a bit heavy for my ever healing controller.

    Anyway that doesn't change the fact i want Thermal Defenders. Also a Rad/Fire defender will make me return defending roots too. Hmm maybe a FF/Fire one so i can show how deadly can Rain of Fire be without risking my own skin.
  21. Okay i played a bit around with Mids and i think i can change Psy-knight from Fire/WP scrapper to WP/Dark tanker if darks damage is high as stated in that one.

    If someone more accostumed with tankers and scrappers can say which one of the following secondaries is better i pick that one (as all look awesome and i want to try them).

    -Energy Melee
    -Fiery Melee
    -Dark Melee

    EDIT: After reading Shannon's post about Willpower tankers i think i decided to go with a faster one so i will make Psy-knight as WP/Fire tanker. Maybe EM is faster but i remembered why i left my old one; that mind buzzing sound. I was trying to avoid fire for first tier power which tankers must get but i think after few levels i can get rid of it and replace it with AS or something look more classy.
  22. Willpower/Stone = Mighty Hand of the God.

    As i am leveling one these days and my other WP tanker is sitting on lvl 28 i think i can say somethings about them.

    First thing you must keep in mind is Stone is very endurance heavy attack set. So you will feel like crippling 'till level 12. After that level you'll start to feel awesome.

    In my opinion Willpower hasn't got any true defense other than fast healing, so your survival depends on two things: Mobs around you and your attacks. Over all i think WP is more solo build than a team build. Willpower's biggest problem is debuffs, especially -regen and slow powers so mobs like Vazhiloks or Outcast Coolers will be a real problem for you, also some herding will be nice even if you solo since your regen rate is higher when the mobs are in arms reach of you. You can stand in countless mobs of other villians.

    My best advice will be getting your primary powers asap 'till you get Heightened senses. After that you can focus on attacks. I slotted my attacks with end rdx. enchanments instead of acc's 'till level 12, even with it i still needed many blues during solo or lesser extend in teams.

    Please keep in mind i am not a regular tanker player and only tankers i enjoyed so far are Willpower ones because of their Scrapper like behavior, you can run around with your toggles on everytime without endurance problems only thing you worry will be which attack will recharge next.

    Have fun with your hero. I am really enjoying mine.

  23. Well as we have enough person to start a team i am offering following time and date for our first meeting:

    If anyone couldn't make it to that time we will think somethings about it.

    As Jay stated team is mostly Blasters and 2 Mind/Sonic trollers. I am fine with it as i know from my main Mind Trollers have some good ways to avoid alpha strikes. So as long as we keep an eye on each others moves there won't be any problems i guess. Honestly i wish there are more combinations in team to color it up a bit but as i said i am fine with anything.

    If anyone doesn't have any objection, hope to see you all at Atlas Park on Saturday. Defiant Universe's Psy-knight will meet you there.

    PS: I wish i could roll him as a Tanker but after seeing my WP/Stone tanker in action all other secondaries are look... simple.

  24. I wish there will be Thermal Defenders in new issue. I like thermal set but controllers end can't handle that, even without using your primary powers.

    Give me Thermal Radiation as a defender and tremble before my might.
  25. Yeah that is another good idea and possibly would be very challenging on heroes side as they don't have any healing like traps provided to villians.

    Only thing i want to point out is Luke Cage ain't a normal human, he is a science hero as far as i know (some accident or experiment caused him to gain stell like skin but not sure about his super-human strength)

    Some natural heroes i know: Batman, Elektra, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Robin, Batgirl, Huntress, Blackwidow, Swordsman,earlier Black Cat and Black Panther (Felicia gained super powers later on but after loosing them she is more of a Tech hero now. Black Panther in his earlier incarnations mostly refered as trained athlete (even in an old FF issue (possibly something between 200-250) when a bad guy neutralized FF's powers he didn't effected as his powers are because of the training))
