I got redirected here from the PvP boards , I assumed it was still in the PvP boards, but yeah it was a necropost.

I was in BB with my brute collecting a shivan for an experiment, when some bs/regen comes along and fights me, I end up winning, and he starts saying that if he had some of his better powers he would have won blah blah blah, so I said "alright I'll meet you in SC then", and he darts off, I get my shivan and am waiting in Sirens when I get a tell "How are you going to fight me in Steel Canyon?"....... I put him on /ignore and moved along.

nice, just as a side question, is that the old man phase underneath the eyeless hood/mask?

A bit incorrect. The KR Zone had that many separate Zone Map *locations* in which Winter Lords would spawn, but at no time during the famed Event did the KR Zone have anywhere near a dozen active WL spawns all occurring at the same time...on any CoH Live Server.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this was before levels were removed from GMs, which made KR even more attractive for fighting Winter Lords as high level toons could easily solo them (since -- again, correct me if I'm wrong -- WLs wouldn't spawn in Atlas or Galaxy).

WLs did spawn in AP and Galaxy.

and both are only so long as they are enforced. It is only recently that they have tried cracking down on enforcement again for actually using what's been around for a long time.

This is a bit simplistic a comparison but:

Silver Bullet model states that media has a tremendous impact on all individuals on all levels and people will react accordingly

The Minimal Model states that some people will be affected by some things some of the time

Now this is a simplistic view of the two models, but it should be obvious in a lot of the arguments where the two often conflict.

i remember when I drank Mnt. Dew because I liked the taste and not because I needed the caffeine to keep me awake in the morning (okay this isn't really related to the game but still true)

I remember my first lvl20, was my emp/psy back in I2. I can't recall how many times I got hit on, and it wasn't like the character was all that skimply dressed, oh well.

I believe that was when the capes first came out wasn't it? On infinity that was the biggest insurgance of people in AP in.....well probably the greatest insurgance ever. You didn't dare go into the cityhall otherwise you might be d/c'ed by all the heroes hovering around the poor little npc in the middle.

i remember some of the great bugs
- the magnetic 5th column desks
- the "oh look it is just one 5th column member" to find out in horror that there was 9 of them phased in one spot and all capable of shooting you, I learned to fear solo mobs that day
- the first time i triggered the fence sliding glitch in animation and thinking it was the coolest thing in the world.
- and not a glitch but recently with the new physics changes bumping into a plant and seeing leaves drop from it, first time I saw that I spent about 5 minutes just triggering leaves, and moving them around.

Fulcrum shift that used to give fellow players d/c and was a form of griefing for a while lol.

i miss the old storm kick animation, it wasn't the animation that killed you anyway it was the fact that it was 3 times longer than thunder kick and did about 1/3 the damage as well. If it did shadow maul damage then people would still love it.

I miss perez park back in I0 where you were punished from an xp point of view because they hadn't added the xp boost from being teamed.
