So PWNZ is just a thread now... damn. I miss the PWNZ rules
And these smilies suck -
My personal experiences:
1) Spirit Tree is not very helpful even on teams unless you're facing an AV. It's the same (very skipped, at least from corrs) power as Triage Beacon from Traps.
2) Thorntrops is caltrops, it's not worth it since you have so much better options for crowd control and damage.
3) Stamina is very helpful if you play aggressively because /thorns is basically a port from scrappers' spines.
Here's the order of the powers I planned on my Plant/Thorns (which I deleted at 38 but now regret it due to Dom buffs):

I read the forums and play mybrute (see sig), besides reading. Well and working when I need to
-
This is happening to me as well Psyonico... Try Google Chrome, it1s light and has no login issues.
-
Ccleaner didn't help me at all. I got fed up with this login issue and I'm using Google Chrome for the boards. At least Chrome seems to load pages faster.
-
Meh I gave up, using Google Chrome for the boards. It seems to load it faster as a bonus btw.
-
Just like the old forums, thse forums are loading very slowly sometimes. Is this your experience too? I mean, if it's not just me, I'd expect this to be better
-
I don't think so because it's easy enough to fit a travel power, placate and stamina on a ninjitsu build.
-

lol sry guys this was the only way i could give my friend the build he doent have mids, and the name is an isnside jokes i dont hate regen
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to ask, what's with all the -KB enhancements? -
My Stalker has a completely different playstyle than my scrappers. With my Stalker I don't bother with minions when on teams (except the annoying ones like sappers, surgeons etc). I go straight to the bosses and AS them before anyone hits them. Then I scrap it out or placate+AS if Placate is up.
Most Stalkers have to choose their targets to be at peak efficiency (especially the ST ones, meaning non-elec and spines), I usually don't get into 'Stalker-lock' because it interferes with the target selecting that I find so crucial to the Stalker playstyle.
I don't care much about the ST specialization on some Stalkers but I may be biased since my only high-level Stalker is EM and he does a LOT of burst damage. Although my DM/EA at 30 is doing very well too. -

A softcapped /Nin Stalker has more staying power than any /SR Scrapper, with slightly lower DDR but alot more toys to play with (including a burst self heal)
[/ QUOTE ]
That's true. Only a matter of time till that set gets ported. It will be interesting to see what they do with hide and caltrops.
[/ QUOTE ]
What makes you think that, if the set will ever be ported over, that Scrappers will keep Hide?
And Scrapper already have access to Caltrops in Weapons Mastery.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what he's stating.... what will replace Hide and Caltrops if they port Nin over to scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh my bad, I'm sleepy -

Nah, only rocket boots are a bit expensive.

Well, Dark Regen is the games single best self-heal, but I honestly found myself falling down a lot more at the defense level you have there, whereas at 30% def I rarely have to use the heal at all.
but then that's speaking from experience, so your playstyle might make it different, so take it with a grain of salt

Yeah I tried to fit in Energy Torrent. Not sure I'll need it tho, I'll level up her so I can see her survivability with just generic IOs then I can make the decision of going with Weave and more defense bonuses or keeping this build with E. Torrent. -
If you're into defensive sets, you might consider Energy Aura. You can go by without stamina and get decent numbers of defense with just SOs (better than nin, although I'm a /Nin fan). Plus the build is looser than /SR. /SR Stalkers are just way too tight.
WP and regen are decent 'scrappery' secondaries although with them you'll have a hard time getting an AS after a Placate due to the other mobs hitting you. -
Great arc, reminded of the already mentioned Buffy episode. 5-starred it.
Just wish I weren't in the 5th difficulty, my Stalker took forever to take down the AVs... -
Controller: Dark Miasma
Stalker: Fire Melee -
Would a build with just a little defense work? I'm leveling a Spines/DArk atm, thinking of this as a final build:

Recharge of haste in the build, if you bothered to open it, is 119.1 sec (Duration of Haste 120 Secs) Unless we have different understandings of what a Perma Power is?
[/ QUOTE ]
Turn off the Force feedback proc in KO Blow. Recharge of Hasten is nowhere near perma. It's 216.5 sec with Hasten off and 162s with Hasten on. -

Mud Pots: Slot it with taunt and endu, not damage or anything like that. Seen people do this, but honestly Mud Pots is your taunt aura, so it doesn't NEED to do damage
[/ QUOTE ]
I disagree. Mud pots does a large portion of your damage. With only 4 slots you can almost maximize damage and endurance (2 dam/end and 2 acc/dam/end), leaving room for 2 slots if you want to use taunt enhancers in that (a waste imo since the base taunt duration is just fine). -
Stalkers with Stamina are much more useful to a team since now they can scrap it out very effectively. But I usually delay stamina to 28 on my builds due to too many key powers I want ASAP (Placate, BU, AS, travel). Or you can delay your travel power but I do just fine with Stamina at 28ish.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I don't know what to do for fury since SR doesn't have an aggro aura.

/Sr Brutes have a taunt aura on Evasion, available at level 20. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thunderstrike is a Single target attack with a splash of AOE Energy DMG and chance for KD.
The attack is fine.
And I don't see how the attack is harder to hit enemies behind you, as the AOE splash dmg is just that...AOE.
EDIT: Which is why I still think it should allow regular single target melee IO sets, versus the AOE Melee sets. :/
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a bit harder to hit enemies around you because the AoE is centered on your target unlike say Whirling Hands where it's targetted at you. A friend of mine even thought it was a cone because of that. Not that you can't hit enemies behind you, it's just that you'll probably get more targets with a PbAoE like W. Hands or Spin if you're in the middle of a lot of mobs. -
Well Werner you're primarily a soloist (from what I've read from your posts), ppl love SC because AoE is king in teaming. Hence the love for Brutes Elec/SD despite elec melee being such a weak ST set. Hell most people in the game would love if they could roll a Spines/SD AoE machine.
