Just a reminder, Obliterations aren't very good for damage auras like Quills or Blazing Aura because there's only about 15% endredux in them. So for those you'll want multistrikes unless your recovery is awesome.

I doubt there will be any changes aside from swapping Confront with Taunt.

I'm burning through inspirations like there's no tomorrow at the moment, and it helps.
I'm also forgetting to hover alot. I have been told it adds to your defenses, but it doesnt 'feel' right to hover while pounding on mobs, so i might end up switching out of that aswell lateron.
Brw, consider Combat Jumping and Hurdle, they're great for combat movement. -
Nice guide Fulmens. I always do something like that when I reach 32 (so I can buy 35 enhancements) because I know it will be a long road till 50 and 'the perfect build'.

Hi guys,
So I have this 35 fire/invul scrapper I'm starting to IO. Some things bother me though, namely the lack of Hasten. Do you think you could fit it in without compromising my defenses? Should I just ditch CJ and SJ (picking Hasten and SS instead) and suck it up for my defenses?
I'm building him to be an AV soloer so Hasten is kinda essential I suppose. Here goes the build, and thanks in advance:

Which is the superior choice? Or is it just a matter of personal taste?
Looking at the numbers it seems Swipe is better DPS although both recharge so quickly that either can be used as a filler... -

Btw since you're using purple sets you can easily overcome the penalties in Granite. With this build you'll run in Granite almost as fast as a Sprint-using 'normal' toon, have good recovery and regen (531% in Rooted). I changed the power order a little because some things confused me (Clobber at 30, it's your best attack!), etc. It's based off my Elec/Stone build:

As for Hover, I am mainly taking it for times I need to be vertical. On Brutes, I usually take Hasten, Super Speed, Hover and Fly. Actually, I do that on all my characters villain side when I can. Hero side, I can usually tolerate only having Hover. I just couldnt fit in both Hover and Fly. So, I dont really plan to fight while hovering. Esp because of Grounded. Oh, how I wish I could fit Fly in. -

Hell back when I was new people were asking why I was playing a DM/DA scrapper....
Anyhow on my teams I just get whoever's available. Last Synapse I ran we had 1 tanker and 5 scrappers, and I don't recall anybody dying a lot. -

I dunno, I kinda liked my claws/sr in her late 20s because I had 33.9% defense to melee and ranged from togles+passives+CJ slotted. That's quite playable imo.
Shields have to wait a lot more for that level of defense.
And imo controllers don't suck with SOs -

I agree with Shred. Also I guess you people forget many people play with common IOs and SOs and shields isn't exactly rockin' the boat without some heavy IO'ing.
