I agree with you that Lambda isn't all that hard, it's just that BAF is *much* easier, so people tend to build for and run it over and over again.
-
So I was standing around in PKT D looking for a trial, there were plenty of bodies but nobody wanted to lead, so I started forming my own League. I figure I've done this a bunch of times how bad could it be?
We ended merging with another player who had the same idea as me, and together we unleashed a mountain of fury of two successful BAFs.
The other player decided to call it a night, but I was done yet, and I was feeling adventurous, so I decided to continue the League and lead on. We ran 3 or 4 more very successful BAFs, and then I either got tired or lazy and I'm not sure which.
The last two BAFs were a struggle, we darn near failed one but there was a great sense of team pride and somehow we persevered. The last BAF was a total disaster. The Additional spawns for Siege and NS completely overwhelmed us, and all I can think was that I did a lousy job of calling the shots.
If you were on those last couple of BAFs last night (near midnight EST), I wholeheartedly apologize, and hope at least you had some fun! -
I love you crazy people.
I think I'm going to give K'lir the night off and work in Incarnate #2: "Hot House Flower"
Cya tonight! -

I guess I really don't care one way of the other. It could be made simpler, but as has been stated you would certainly lose 'flavor' to do it. The reality is that it isn't that hard, I mean I've already slotted all 4 new powers successfully and managed the crafting just fine.
-
@Benchpresser,
But what if you kept the 4 types of components, and just didn't bother naming them?
At the end of the trial your reward table would be:
1) common component
2) 10 Threads
or
1) uncommon component
2) 2 super insps
or
1) rare component
2) 3 super insps
or
1) very rare component
2) 4 super insps
You lose 'flavor' without having names, but it would certainly simplify your salvage. -
Quote:Taking away all the options wouldn't make it any easier to obtain, just to understand.I would imagine they wanted to create a system people could really sink their teeth into, not something they could sort of walk through in a couple of play sessions. Getting to 50 isn't easy, quick or without complexity either.
Why have 12 different commons with different names when you can just have 'common incarnate component'?
You still need the same number of commons, uncommons, rare, and very rares to make your stuff, you just wouldn't need all the fancy names to make figuring out which one you need harder. -
This is my build. It isn't perfect (or cheap), but it is very effective.
I easily solo +0/x8 tip missions, and can dish out plenty of damage.
I am sure there is plenty of room for improvement.
(I also use the Cardiac Core Paragon to keep END in check.)
Highlights:
S/L defense cap.
TONS of AoE damage
Almost perma-hasten (less than 1/2 second)

Yeah, I'm not sure I get why the need for all the options either. Especially since a reward table gives you a choice of one of all the same kind of reward.
-
Great guide, and the picture of the crate points is worth real money!

Quote:Yep that is possible, but in this particular instance there was a big message across the screen "Second warning K'lir!"It is possible that you were held by a tank, brute, or scrapper that had not cleared the area.
I had no idea what I was being warned about, so I kept on blasting my fiery fury at the pair. I read about sequestering after that trial. -
Thanks for sharing this, I *really* needed that today.
-
Sucks that you ran into a bad apple (or two), but good on ya for getting it done and not letting it get ya down.

For months now I have been holed up in my little shell, using global hide, and soloing content for fear of running into... people.
I20 has brought me back into the community, and I had forgotten how much fun you guys are! I have been running mostly BAFs and Lamdas, and I have been making new friends and connecting with old ones with reckless abandon.
Thanks for being awesome, thanks for being Guardian! -

I personally am not blaming anyone, but I see your point.
I actually liked it, made me feel pretty cool, like I was a somebody and not just one of the 24 people on my team. -
I thought only tanks could be sequestered, but Night Star started calling my fire/dark corruptor to the carpet, and I got sequestered!
I don't know if it was WAI, but it was certainly pretty epic feeling to have my 'squishy' get called out.Fortunately I had 'Clarion' running, so a small break free gave me the clearance I needed to pop out and heal.
-
I spent about 100 million on iXP to open the Lore and Judgment slots, mostly because I am impatient, and they were taking too long to open. I already had the stuff to populate the slot, I just didn't have the slot yet.
I think I've made about 50 million just running trials and selling junk, so I'm 'in the hole' about 50 million. So not too bad at all really. -
They bother me, but I'm not sure how you could skip them. On a team of 24 people, you can almost guarantee that one person either hasn't seen it, or wants to see it again.
I guess it would be nice if they attached a badge to starting the TF that unlocked the cutscene, and allowed you to play it whenever you wanted on your own time? -
The strength of this game has always been the ability to create multiple characters and play different content in different ways.
Once I unlock my current Incarnate to where I want him, I will load my second Incarnate and start over. After that, I will probably go back to low/mid-level alts and try new flavors of things I have not tried.
I have been playing since the game came out, and I ain't sick of it yet... -
I thought about using a keybind, but I have so many of them bound that I sometimes end up triggering powers and tray movement when I think I'm typing!
I did create a nice little macro button entitled 'INC' though, thanks again!
