I had no problems following.
A search gave me zilch.
Signup using my phone was a horrendous pain in the boot. Fields were hidden behind the video feed, and on the Twitch home page I kept jumping to the far left corner of the screen. I *did* somehow manage with many shenanigans. If this proves as much a pain as Ustream, though, I won't be watching from my phone while at work.
Which makes me sad. I had to stop Ustream because it stopped working for me. -
Why not just replace the thing Jim Temblor stands next to with a States one?
-
Maelstrom is a whiney boot.
"Waah! I'm black ops and on a mission where I got caught (because I'm so awesome) my government denied culpability." (The very reason for black ops, duh!) "Then when I got caught again I turned traitor and shot my best friend! Waaah!"

That's is, Samothrake, make me cry :'(
I remember reading The Martian Chronicles during English class in Jr High because I was bored. The teacher would get mad at me because even with my nose in the book, I'd answer the questions correctly.
Years later I read Something Wicked and 451 during Creative Writing class because I had already finished my work for the year.
Going to go back and reread the Chronicles again... -
I couldn't get online long enough to run trials until Saturday. When I finally did (Virtue) most of what I was finding were farms. Using the LFG tab, I *finally* instanced on a full completion run that included someone I know and trust to run quality trials. Completed it so handily it seemed *easy*... just followed the directions given by the leaders and received several badges. Still want all the badges, but hybrid is unlocked on my main now and almost t4.
I don't farm much, and when I do it's generally accidental or me hanging out with friends. Out of the farms I ended up on (all via the LFG tab), one was horribly run and people were faceplanting. The rest at least had a bit of direction and the groups kept together.
I'm a bit disappointed in this trial. TPN is much more fun even with the running around. This one is rather boring considering it's supposed to be THE End Fight. Kind of anti-climatic.
I did not find the trial hard... but I WAS on a good team. YMMV. -
8Ball, love your stuff, always have. The monochrome look of Battitude is lovely, but I'm partial to B&W.
An idea to add movement... you have her hair blowing in wind... so should the fire. If all of it follows the motion of the bats (maybe trailing fire from the bats, a few embers/sparks with them) that could show their action?
Still a fantastic piece. Can I haz your skizzles? -
It nicely doubles as a birthday party hat.

I'm fine with the new skin...
>.>
I normally read and post from my phone... it's all cut off! -
You hit a "zone" ... as in ... you zone completely out and go on automatic until you realize "oh, I went too far" and have to go back and delete stuff.
Caffeine helps... a lot.
mmmm caffeine...
Loverly caffeine...
I want Cheetoes now. -
Well tonight the temp reached 107C. I'm calling it fried now. I don't think the fan is working at all.
Pancake!
With blueberries!
:-(
Thanks for the feedback. Going to research that link, houtex, thanks! -
Hmm. I'll have to see what kind of PSU I actually have. I think it's the one that came with the case. I'mf fine with older cards so long as they're compatible with the PCI-E 1.0 x16 slot.
-
Currently I have a PNY Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT 1gb card. The fan on it is going south. Last night just standing in Dark Astoria crafting an Alpha slot I watch the temp on my card go from 71C to 99C. Last week I had my video dropping (monitor showing no connection but computer still on) shortly after booting and running solitaire. o.O
So, a new video on an older system (please note much is from memory as I'm posting away from my desktop. Will update if incorrect after I get home)
Motherboard: Asus M2N-E with AMD Athalon 64x2 Dual Core 5600+
3GB Ram
80GB WDHD internal, 1TB external partitioned
450W power supply
3 cooling fans, RAIDMAX Ares case ATX mid tower
Windows XP
PNY NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0
This is a home built system that's about 5 years old. I can't afford a new system yet, so I'm looking at options. So far I have:
Completely replace system (no funds for this)
Replace video card (looked at EVGA GeForce GTX 560 1GB 256-bit from Newegg) and power supply (up to a 500W)
VGA Cooler as a temporary fix
I'm looking for advice. The Cooler would be a lot cheaper for now, but I'm not sure if doing this is an adequate substitute. The new video card and power supply will take an ugly chunk out of my budget, but can be used in any new machine I get at a later date. I've scoured the forums here trying to find a solution, hoping to still be able to run Ultra on City. I am not a total techie, but have built my own systems the past two times I've upgraded.
Thoughts or advice? Is there a solution I'm not seeing? -
Sam, I agree and disagree here. I agree that the pieces mentioned, the old skins, to me, don't look out of proportion... unless you go into the Armored category. Then everything looks weird. I, personally, can't bring myself to use it.
Now, specific pieces to me that look bad on women due to size/shape? The Valkyrie boots and shoulders 1 and 2 look WAY oversized. I try to put those on my 4'2" elf and wonder "can she even walk now?" Also some of the Praetorian shoulder pieces (resistance and something else?) that we got with Going Rogue have huge gaps on the shoulders unless the slider is maxed out.
The items are few, really.... and most I can work around. I just wish, really, that the Valkyrie boots were a bit better proportioned and the valkyrie shoulders didn't reach to the top of my head. o.O -
The devs tried to add three extra slots per character, starting at level 27 iirc. The game broke horrendoysly (details I'm sure someone else with better memory skills than I can go into), so theyshelved it.
A few Ustreams ago I asked Posi about it. His answer was that to fix it was cost prohibitive from a development standpoint.
They'd like to give us more slots, but they don't feel like they can expend the resources for it at this time. Shelved indefinitely. -
Yup, they tried giving us three. It did horrible things to break stuff and at a recent Ustream I asked Positron about it. It is indefinitely shelved.
At least they tried, though. -
Quote:Pretty much, Zyphoid. I got there a while ago from a lack of response to the Basers, and it's been recently solidified by the dev responses to costumes. I could see a LOT of soothed feathers if they would just prioritize a few key items, not gated behind any kind of unlock except a store cost, and then move on.I think you are in the same place that I am. Which is a place of burnout and dissatisfaction. As I said in another post, costume wise there is not much that I know about that excites me.
I am not a fan of Retro Sci-Fi, and it really not something I would have voted for. I think the Bubble Helmet is pretty cool, but what can be used with it is really limited. The only thing from that pack I find cool is the rocket packs, which I plan to use as on every character I have which is of Natural origin and that I want to fly.
Like you, I'm not enthused about Retro Sci-Fi even though Dink did marvelous work. I'm even less enthused about Post Apocalyptic and felt some of the other ideas offered were more appealing. I would love to see a real survey from the Player Base (not just Forumites) on what, out of the choices given, they'd like to see with an area to add additional comments, and then the results posted.
Meh! -
Meh.
We've seen thread after thread after thread where we all repeat the same thing. We get tossed scraps and bits, just enough to appease us for a few days.
I give up. They aren't interested in what we really want. They are interested to see if any of us request something they want...
That they'll make. If it's *really* cool and wanted (like the Sybil skirts) they are locked behind NPCs with the same tired excuses (not built on the player model, server/client issues, animation issues).
So, whatever. They'll make what they will and hope we'll buy it while we continue to beg for:
Better masks
Male/Huge sashes
Waist capes for all
Sybil skirts/tops
Longer skirts/OLD style CoT robes
Quivers and scabbards and holsters
Meh. -
On Virtue:
Kyrse (rerolled to Staff/DA)
Arachnavoodoo (Widow) (and, unfortunately though I got her to 50, I have little interest in the character)
Night Rune (still undecided, needs Thrown Weapons!)
Lady Omen (Dark/Dark/Dark Defender)
Dreamwarrior (had for a while, but released into the wild some time ago)
Transform (which was received via an SG mate, and still playing her)
Malefic Elf (Ice/Ice/Psi Dom) (the name was important in ordee to match closely with her real name, Malicent Snowstar... the nickname Mally goes with both) -
Check any resource defining what an astronaut is...
A person who travels beyond Earth's atmosphere.
A person engaged in or trained for spaceflight.
In no definition does it specify "high heels not allowed, only big, bulky spacesuits." -
Quote:If you have enough little item ideas, suggest an Accessories Pack... it could be something like:An additional question about the list: I get the impression from reading it that individual costume pieces aren't likely to receive the art time necessary to make them, while costume sets might. (This seems logical, given that costumes are a source of game income these days, and it's much easier to sell $5,000 worth of Magic Packs than the same dollar amount of Wizard Beards.) With that in mind, is it unrealistic to suggest individual pieces, since the art time to create them may not be available? Or am I reading too much into the whole thing?
Accessories Pack - all items for all body types
Sashes with matte (velvet) and metallic (lamé) texture
Plain long waist capes with matte/metallic textures
Plain short waist capes with matte/metallic textures
Porcelain style face masks with matte/metallic textures
Fez style hat
Turban style hat with matte/metallic textures; with/without large gem in center
Shoulder item: glove extensions in normal tight/shiny tight texture - used to extend current Tights and Shiny Tights gloves into Long Opera style (or new style gloves with matching shoulder option if that is easier)
There could be more items in such a pack... still thematic (with matte/metallic/shiney versions of everyhing) but still cover a range of items... especially those most requested.
In fact... I'd *really* like to see such a pack. If the devs are at all interested in quieting the masses then such a way of providing would be, imo, a big step. -
Quote:This reminds me to take a picture of my husband's hair... in a ponytail and loose, and post it here to give Dink and Co. an idea about what we mean by Long Hair.
Hair
Long hair for men: Since the game came out, we've been asking for more long hair for men other than the one single Long hairstyle. Jay gave us a second one which is SHORTER in the Barbaric one, but that was years ago. We need more. We need the Glam hair from women made for men, essentially, and we need a lot more like it. Men can have long hair. I used to have shoulder-length hair, but mine is too weak to be that long.
Long hair for women: This goes both ways. Women have plenty of long hair, but most of it is pretty old, with most of the new hairs being short. We need more long hair for them. We can also use a few more "big" hairdos.
Dreadlocks: I really want to see this, and the hairstyles we have posing as this don't cut it. Take your average Rastafarian and do that. I'm talking about longer, thicker locks and a generally much bigger.
Mine merely goes past my waist. My husband sits on his... regularly.
Both sexes need hair that long, and such hair is not just regulated to women.
We also need long Spiral Curls. We have the lovely Shirley Temple Sausage Curls, now give us that Permed Hair look.
We need a Mask Pack AND a Hair Pack. -
Well, granted... no rings because we have no fingers...
But looking at the Vampire ascot or neckties, a hanging necklace should be possible, as well as bracelets based on the arm band tech.
