Right now, yes. There is only one set of drivers available that support the GTX 460, and they have issues.

Tomorrow should see a release of a beta version of the next set of drivers that will fix the problem. If all goes well, they will be promoted from beta to official, and be made available on the download page.

Until the next set of drivers comes out, you should hold off on installing the card when it arrives. I'll try to remember to make a post in this thread when the official drivers are out.

Found out on the nVidia forums that the problem is in the drivers. I can't roll back, because the 258.96 drivers are the first ones to add support for the GTX 460.

There's supposed to be a beta release of drivers on Wednesday that should fix the problem. If I can manage to find and install them, I'll see if it fixes the problem.

Do you feel comfortable making a small change in your Registry?

If so, press WinKey+R, type regedit and press Enter.

In the left pane, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\COH

On the right side, look for the key enableHWLights and double click it.

Change the 0 to a 1 and click OK.

Exit regedit (either File -> Exit or clicking the red X). The next time you start CoH, it should enable the AlienFX immediatly.

Downloaded and took a look at the .PSDs. I have to say, I do NOT like the layout of the Hero and Hazzard/Trial Zones load screen. It's just too much of a deviation from what I've been used to for all these years.

The Villain screens are fine, because they stick to the same format that's currently in the game.
