  1. Try binding BUTTON4 and BUTTON5, and see if they work. If they do, then CTRL+C and CTRL+V may no longer be vaild binds, as they added a Copy and Paste function when Chat was revamped...
  2. Doesn't being on a team auto SSK you now?

Of course you're not. You're just 51 weeks early in responding for next year's thread.
  4. Wow. That is amazing. I'm glad you decided to share with us!!

I can't wait to see the next 48 weeks!!
  5. You sure know how to make someone thirsty!!
  6. This question comes up a lot from people new to message forums and/or vBB. So, I'm making this quick guide to explain how to do it.

There are two ways to post an image. You can either manually add it, or you can have the forum automatically add it for you.

    The Manual Image Add
To manually add an image to your post, you will need to use the vBB Image Tag. Simply place [img] before the URL to your image, and then [/img] after the end of the URL, like so:

    [img]http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo240/jkeller0424/lols/vegan-zombie.jpg[/img]

You won't be able to see your image until you click either Submit or Preview Post.

    The Automatic Image Add
To automatically add an image to your post, you will first need to modify your personal forum settings. Don't worry. It's easy.

Go to the User CP, and under Settings & Options, click Edit Options. When the page loads, press your End key to jump to the bottom of the page. In the Miscellaneous Options section, set the following:

Message Editor Interface -> Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing

    Click the Save Changes button.

    See? Easy!!

Now, when you make a post, you'll see the following icons at the top of the area where you enter your post:

You want to click on the one that looks like a picutre of a mountain with a sun or moon in the upper right corner:

When you click that, a box will pop up saying

Please enter the URL of your image:

There will be an area where you can type, and http:// will already be there. Type in or paste the URL to your image, then press Enter or click OK. Your image will automatically be added to your post, and you'll be able to see it immediatly:

No need to click Sumbit or Preview Post just to see your image.

The Automatic Image Add is my personal choice. It makes it really simple to just click 'n go.
  7. I've found that, as always, the ToT event isn't solo lowbie friendly.

I ran it 7 times, and got 5 waves of 3 each time. I already had 2 points towards the Technophobe badge from the An Unstable Bomb Trigger Tip Mission, where Maelstrom has two Praetorian Clockwork attack you, so I needed 98 more points. Each run netted me +15 points towards the badge, and there were 3 Praetorian Clockwork per spawn. 15 / 3 = 5. And I was running on -1/x0, solo.

Replacing the () with square brackets. ( I thought the code tags were supposed to show the tags without processing them, but I guess I was wrong. )
They do, if you use the [noparse] tag first.

The easiest way to insert an image is to go to the User CP, under Settings & Options, click Edit Options, press the End key to jump to the bottome of the page, and in the Miscellaneous Options section, set the following:

Message Editor Interface -> Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing

Click the Save Changes button, and then when you post, you'll see this icon at the top of the area where you enter your text:

Click that, type in or paste the URL to the image, press Enter or click OK, and your image will automatically be inserted. You'll be able to see it immediatly.
  10. This is SOOOO far superior to the Halol and WoLol ones they've done.

    This thread is win!!

    SuperArtzzz

That's pretty awesome. I mean, it sucks for whoever was on the other end of that boot, but still...
  12. There was some trouble with the badges not counting kills when 'Ween was being tested on the Training Room, but it was fixed before the event went Live.

I had a character who had none of the badges, and who was actully ToTing in PI for the 'Ween Tip when a ZI spawned. I took part, and got all 4 badges for it.
  13. I can't say if the having to side switch and (re-)run the Tip to get the Badge Title you want is a bug or not, but the fact that the Power Hungry badge art isn't showing is a bug. It means that either 1) The art was accidently deleted from the appropriate pigg file or 2) The pointer for the badge is pointing to a non-existant art resource, i.e. pointing to Halloween2010PowerHungryBadge instead of Halloween2010PowerHungry.

In theory, it should be fixed in a patch or two.
  14. Sign me up again with Sav, MA/Regen Scrapper, please!!
  15. So, what does it take to get on an awesome team with you? >.>

    Also: Congratulations!!
  16. Here's what I found out about Trusting/Arriviste tonight:

I took my Scrapper from Rogue to Hero. I had already completed the Halloween Tips as a Rogue, and had all the badges. Upon changing sides, Arriviste stayed as it was.

I ran the Halloween Tip again, as a Hero, and I had the option to get the Trusting badge, and another 100,000 Inf. I took it, and Trusting replaced Arriviste.

So, it's not an automatic change. You have to manually decide to change the badge, and run the appropriate side Hallween Tip Mission. Otherwise, the name stays as-is, regardless of side-switching. Once the Halloween Event ends, you'll be locked into that badge until the next years Halloween Event.
  17. Yup, it is 5,000 and not 50,000. I corrected my post. I also added the EB's name to it, and the fact that one of the badges also awards you the Rock Temp Power.

No, because there is only 1 Halloween Tip. You run it 5 times for the 5 badges. The 5th run gets you the accolade.

How To Get The Halloween Tip

    1) "Don" a costume, either one you earned from ToTing, or one you earned via a Promo Code.
    2) "Knock" on a door in a level-apropriate zone. A Tip may show up as a Treat. You MUST be "in costume" for it to drop.
    3) Check your Tips Tab (Contacts -> Tips). If you see a Tip with a happy pumpkin to the left, and titled, "Whispered Rumor", congratultions!! You have the tip!!
3a) If you already have 3 regular Tips, then your tip will be the Halloween Tip. The Halloween Tip ignores the 3 Tips limit.

    This is the icon:

    How To Get The Badges
    1) Choose to Investigate the tip.
    2) Enter the mission. A 5:00 Min timer will show up, but don't worry. The mission isn't timed, and you won't fail if it hits 0:00.

    You now have two choices.
3a) Run to the end of the mission, and defeat the Elite Boss, Libri Vermis.
3b) Run to the first room, find a safe spot (or clear the room), and wait for the 5 min. timer to hit 0:00, and then defeat the 5 waves of Praetorian Clockwork. You can also wait for them after you defeat the EB, but I suggest doing it first, so that you can see the timer.

Don't bother with the 4 devices. Even though they add 0:30 seconds to the clock, the Praetorian Clockwork will still show up after 5:00 mins. pass.

    4) Once the EB is deafeated, a Reward Table will pop up. Pick the badge you like.
    5) Repeat at least 5 times to get the Accolade, and to unlock the Witch's Hat costume part (if you don't already have it).

The first four badges each come with a reward, like a random Large Inspiration, a random piece of Rare Arcane Salvage, a random Rare Recipe, or the Rock Temporary Power. The fifth badge comes with 100,000 Inf.

Once you've recieved a badge as a reward, if you choose it again, you will get a random Large Inspiration if you choose one of the first four badges, or 5,000 Inf if you choose the fifth badge.

Also: I checked, and the 100,000/5,000 Inf the last badge grants DOES count towards the Earn Inf Badges.
  19. It looks like City of Heroes (finally) made it onto the front page of Bob's House Of Video Games.

I checked my e-mail after work today, and this was in there:

    Eye Don't Believe You!

  20. The store is on a seperate server. It goes up and down all the time. When it goes down, from what I can tell, it means the server needs a restart. Until someone at Paragon Studios can restart it, we have to wait.
  21. Yup. Just checked. There's no I19 Beta Test happening on the Training Room. The GMOTD is still the 6 Year Anniv Announcement, and the Beta Testers MOTD is still about testing Halloween.

  24. RTFM FTW.

Meanwhile, back in Reality, it would be nice to hear how work is going on fixing these issues. However, after the recent deluge of Red Name replies in both the Can't Copy Characters and Keep Being Logged Out Of Forum threads, I expect the same thing here.
