Are we having a Halloween event this year?

It was announced in a forum post that the Halloween event would be starting on the 21st and ending on the 31st. 
I find your lack of signature disturbing.
theOcho announced some preliminary information about the Halloween event, which starts Thursday.
The Praetorian costume NPC seems to have been leaked in an earlier server update, but we're still (eagerly) awaiting details on the new temp powers and the Halloween tip mission, not to mention "and more!".

I have a bad feeling about this. In 5 hours it is supposed to start and the maintenance window ends in 2 hours... last time it was like that it was reactivation weekend and of course it all was down for the full 5 hours.
I hope the game comes up in two hours and that the Halloween event is on then and that we have no extra downtime. Sometimes it seems that they are letting maintenance run as normal and then patch on the Halloween event

I can't get it, seems the server is still down
Oops.. jumped the gun. I got the Patch, but servers weren't up... I was looking at my Test client.
So... soon...

Still down ... and the two hour window is soon passed. I fear a five-hour downtime again
I hate to be right, 10 minutes past the time the servers should have been up now
I downloaded LOTRO, made an account and all but they also had their maintenance time right now, so, no, I will not be playing LOTRO today :-)

It's only right that our halloween event would start with a trick...
It's October 19th, but I seen no mention of a Halloween Event this year and it's fair to say that they CoH/CoV staff is very busy right now so I can see it not coming out at all. But I was curious if anybody here has heard anything about the Halloween Event or thinks they know when it's coming out anyways?
I wanna trick or treat!
