I've made my Hero Scrapper a Vigilante. I'll have to switch to Villain at least once more to get the last couple of Day Jobs I need, and to flashback the new Villain Arc (I tend to solo a lot, being on at random times), but unless it's needed, I plan to stay Vigilante.

I'll have access to the entire game, so no matter what event is happening or team is running, I can participate.

I know I'm behind here (my list is up to 24 to do now, 25 if Bayani ever comes back and says it's OK for me to do an HBAS for him), but I'm going to continue to fall behind.

Wednesday evening, at 4:50 PM EST, I got a phone call from my aunt.

My mother suffered a severe asthma attack, and passed away. She was 54.

I turned control of the legal stuff over to my aunt. It makes more sense, because she lives up there, so no additional travel expenses for her, and she knows my mothers wishes, and how to best take care of them.

Once all the legal stuff is out of the way, we'll figure out when we're all going to get together and take care of the personal stuff. At that time, I'm going to have to take a trip to South Carolina.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love my mother. But right now, I feel so helpless. There was nothing I could have done to prevent it. At the most, I think things only would have been delayed. Not that that would have stopped me from trying. But I absolutly HATE feeling helpless. I ALWAYS want to do whatever I can to help when friends and family are sick/feeling down/etc.

I have my wonderful wife and daughter here with me, but I feel so alone. A major part of me is gone. And now, I have to go on without that part.

Thankfully, I have wonderful memories to cherish, my wife and daughter to help me thought this time, and my City Of Heroes family, too.
