I checked, and YouTube vids worked fine in IE version Whatever the default bundled with Win7 who cares nobody uses it anyway.

Quote:I'll give that a try. I don't have any themes installed, so that shouldn't be the problem...But isn't reinstalling it like saying "sorry" after giving it the "**** you"?
Have you tried to restart Firefox with Add-Ons disabled?
My coworker's computer had the same issue, and after a cursory google search, I found someone mentioning a particular theme causing problems. When I went to FF's default theme, everything worked perfectly fine. -
Yeah, the addition of Wentworths/Black Market made this change happen. Other items will just say, "Buy me!". Really sucks, and it'd be nice if there was a fix for it.

Quote:Correct. However, I did everything I could with anything "java", just to be sure. With my luck, if I hadn't one of those Java things would have been the problem.Java is NOT javascript. One has nothing to do with the other.
Quote:However if you are using something like NOScript, you may have to temp or perm whitelist some script sources to make sites like YouTube work (ytimg.com) and check off Flash in the "Embeddings" tab.
At this point, I'm about ready to give Firefox a giant **** YOU, and hope a reinstall will fix whatever crawled up its *** and died. -
I went to check out the video linked in this thread, and all I got was a black screen where the video should have been.
The only other videos I watch are on Blip, and those are working fine, as is the CoH UStream channel. Only YouTube won't work. Even if I disable AdBlock Plus and Greasemonkey.
Meanwhile, when I try to use LMGTFY, I can't, because it says, "Enable javascript to use LMGTFY.". However, Javascript IS enabled.
I'm using Firefox v3.6.16. The following Java things are:
Options > Content > Enable Javascript is Checked
Tools > Add-Ons > Extentions > Java Console 6.0.16 is Enabled
Tools > Add-Ons > Plugins > Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.260.3 is Enabled
Tools > Add-Ons > Plugins > Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U26 6.0.260.3 is Enabled.
I also went to my Control Panel, opened up Java, and clicked the button to check for updates. It found an update, and installed it. -

Pets are supposed to be ignored, and they're working on a fix for this problem now.Avoids the Green Stuff badge - During final stage no one is caught by the Obliteration Beam (green location AoE)

Not good. That's 6:30 PM my time. I have to work until 3:00 PM, and dinner is generally at 7:00 PM.
9:00 PM EST, 6:00 PM PST, is a good time for me. -
Quote:I'm not the one who necro'd the thread. And I DID, in fact, see that. However, I've seen it say the servers are down when they are, in fact, down. Just because that little date isn't updating doesn't mean the rest isn't.Pay attention to the (necro) post you are responding to: look at the date at the bottom of the list. It is not working fine. It hasn't updated since June 24.
Not to mention the formerly-EU servers should be added to the list instead of having to navigate manually to eu.cityofheroes.com to get them. The status link in the launcher goes to the NA servers. -
I think that's what the whole, "EVERYBODY! Log in on FREEDOM for the Praetorian Invasion Finalé!" was all about.
When people complained about it being on Freedom, they said they were doing a Stress Test... -
It looks to be working fine to me. Shows all servers as Up, and Training Room as Unknown, which is normal.

Quote:Calvin & Hobbes used it in 1987, in a Sunday strip. I came across it in a C&H book I was reading at Books A Million:Calvin & Hobbes used it in 2007 (possible earlier mentions but that's the earliest I could find). Colbert used it in 2007 (as "freedom without the do", mocking armchair politicians). Warhammer used it in 2004. Kevin & Kell used it in 1995. Someone says it was used as far back as 1955, according to Google. (As everyone knows, everything on the internet is the truth.)
Freem isn't copyrighted in any database, nor is it trademarked.
Crappy camera on phone took a kinda blurry pic of 1987 copyright date. -
A little birdie told me that they still have some, and bring them to Cons. It's apparently a bit of a seekrit... *shhhh*
-
Freem is from Calvin & Hobbes. It's a term Calvin uses as Spaceman Spiff. So, due to possible copyright issues, I don't think Freem will be the server name.

It's partly random, but also determined by some requirements that they will not share, so that there is no way anyone can tamper with the results. Also, just because you get into one Beta doesn't mean you'll get in the rest.
Personally, I think they just write all account names on scraps of paper, and throw them at Positron. Whatever ones he doesn't destroy make it in. -
I TOLD you you weren't done. I was just wrong about the Issue Number.
Awesome vid! -
SD can't be canceled because it's Instant. Even though the animation is going on, you're already dead.
