Hi all, not sure if this is the best place to post, but i'm taking a shot.

I'm in the market for a gaming laptop, to play games from CoX to Crysis type. Shooting for around $1700.00 US but i'm a tad flexible. Getting something from Dell is a first choice due to my location, but again flexible.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, insights, links.

Just adding my agreement to the OP's sentiments. Also the tip missions are funtastic!

Methinks general concensus would lead me to say, Virtue or Freedom. That said, once you join a lft/chat global channel for any server, you can do just fine anywhere.

I'm late to the party as usual, seen here http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Global_channels is one of the best resources, I think City utilises. It's something that can let you solo without feeling alone in the game and gives you the opportunity to build teams to take on the bigger challenges.

Each server has it's own specific team building channel, at least 1. . Some more lists are here http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...113082&page=10 . Be on the lookout for whatever server you choose and i'm sure it'll serve you in good stead.

Hey Red, well it seems like you wanna get your feet wet in the RP thing, so you might be well served trying it on the RP section, you might surprise yourself. I'd say browse the Pinnacle supergroups or global channels section, might be somewhere to get that semi-RP fix.

Also.. I heard about a small RP group on Pinn recently, but danged if I can't find a post on the boards atm.

Well , there's not much else for me to add to the girth of information thrust at ya, so i'll keep it simple.

Our game is really an instanced game, and as many have noted, you're not likely to see tons of folks running around in zone and you may therefore believe you're in a wasteland. Basically the Global Chat channels, or global channels, are chat channels which let all of it's members chat, regardless of server, e.g. I may be on Virtue server, but chatting on 'Pinnbadges' a Pinnacle team resource. Most servers have at least 1 channel which is focussed on team building and basically it lets you shoot the *cough*. The really cool thing, is you can feel like you're with a bunch of people, even if you're soloing.

Been to the last 2 and as long as I can make it, i'll be there every time. Strongly suggest asking for MOTDs on Pinnbadges and Cozmic's to promote the raids. Good times.

Almost forgot. No idea if this falls to you, but, possibility of getting more than 5 costume slots?

Same here as per mission load times. Zone load times seem fine, but mission entry and as of today, SG Base entry are taking much more time than my norm. Today was particularly bad, zoning from Talos to Base took me about 6 minutes and during such time I was able to hear my hasten cycle up and my cursor changed, as if it was going to crash, but I left it alone and eventually loaded. Two missions I did also had long load times of about 2-3 minutes each.

Is it a goal to allow heroes,villains, vigilantes and rogues to, at some point, co-exist in Ouroborous or another non-pvp zone ? Not counting RWZ.
