How? Cimerora is a one-story sort of place: there simply isn't anywhere to attach more content. They can increase the ties to the rest of the game, but that's about it.
  2. Shredded my way through a +1 LGTF last night. There were a few bosses, but not as many as I'd expect.

Was there some exploit that I wasn't aware of with Longbow prison doors? That seems to be the only possible exploit-type thing in this patch.
I see two exploits listed. Assuming the email bugfix was actually in the previous patch, there's nothing in the patchnotes that they could have posted while the patch was on Test.

Fixing those problems was one of the big features of Issue 17, right up there with Ultra Mode.

That only works on a desktop system. Most people with Intel graphics are using laptops, which can't be upgraded like that.
  6. Make sure you've got the latest drivers, but other than that, there's not much you can do. Intel graphics and CoH don't mix too well.
  7. It's worth noting that Smoke Grenade is a perception debuff rather than a stealth buff, so it works even on opponents (such as Rikti Drones) that ignore stealth.
  8. Comparing your first build against my plant/storm controller, I've noticed the following differences:
    * You've got more smashing, lethal, and ranged defense than me; I've got more AoE defense.
    * I've got more resistance across the board, particularly for smashing/lethal (I'm at 40%).
    * You've got slightly higher global recharge, but that's more than countered by having far too little recharge in key powers such as Freezing Rain, Strangler, and Carrion Creepers.
    * Endurance is comparable: you're using slightly more, but that's balanced by slightly more recovery.
    * Carrion Creepers is massively underslotted for damage. It's a damage-dealing power, not a control power, and should be slotted as such. Except for Fly Trap, Fissure, and Seismic Smash, your other damage-dealing powers are also underenhanced.
    * You don't have two of the good "panic button" powers: Vines and Tornado. An AoE hold and fire-and-forget knockback are both good ways of reducing incoming damage. Tornado is also a good damage-dealing power when facing EBs or AVs.
  9. I've got a Kinetics/Ice defender. How do the damage buffs from my powers interact with damage enhancements and the pseudopets of my targeted AoE powers? Specifically, how much damage am I doing in the following situations:

Fulcrum Shifted to 250% damage buff, 100% damage increase through enhancements, fire off Ice Bolt (single-target blast, 36 points base damage). Do I do 144 points of damage or 162 points of damage?

Fulcrum Shifted to 250% damage buff, 100% damage increase through enhancements, fire off Blizzard (pseudopet AoE, 500 points base damage). Do I do 2250 points of damage or 2000 points of damage?

Fulcrum Shifted to 500% damage buff capped at 300%, 100% damage increase through enhancements, fire off Blizzard. Do I do 3500 points of damage, 2500 points of damage, 2000 points of damage, or some other number?

There have been two major changes:
    1) Enemies that have defense or mez protection toggles will activate them earlier in battle than they used to.
    2) A bugfix caused some late-game enemies (eg. Malta) to use mezzing powers that they previously weren't using.

Mine too, except that the print quality of the OED is high enough that you can simply move the book closer to your eyes instead. That doesn't work so well with the enhancement screen.

If you're going for the Unveiler badge, they need to be real Fake Nemesis. The reflections don't count.

Not true. Having a 9100 means he will have to play at or near the lowest settings, but it doesn't mean he can't play. The problem is that the game is trying to set a graphics mode that the monitor doesn't support. The quick fix is to switch the game to windowed mode.

I know how to do this by editing the registry: run regedit and change the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Cryptic/COH/fullScreen" from 1 to 0. There's also a COH graphics changer you can use if you're not comfortable editing the registry, but I don't know what the download URL is.

Most other powers do knockdown, which can be turned into knockback with a +KB enhancement. Knockup is rare, and cannot be turned into knockback.

    Ugh!

What is it with people and healers? We had the perfect STF team: two illusion/rad controllers, two kinetics defenders, a stone tank, a blaster and a scrapper. The team disbanded because the leader couldn't find a healer.

It's worth asking. It's always possible that someone forgot to switch the signs back after someone with a reservation canceled, and I'm aware of two hotels that have a policy of keeping a few rooms held back for emergencies, then releasing them in the late evening if there haven't been any emergencies.
  19. How did you manage that? I can't get better than 180 MB/s, despite verifying from a ramdisk.
  20. Despite all the doomsaying here, I haven't seen anyone mention the real reason why merging the markets is a bad thing:

    Lag.

You think the market lag is bad now? Just wait until that single overworked computer has to handle both sides.
  21. There's the obvious question: why did you take Hurdle instead of Swift? Stone tanks don't jump.

Also thought about switching Siphon Life with Touch if Nictus to get Neg res to 83.5%.
Unenhanced run speed is 14.3 mph; Sprint or Swift will raise that to around 21 mph. In my experience, 20 mph with Granite on and Rooted off is fast enough to keep up with the typical team -- if you're in a situation where you're wanting to run both Granite and Rooted, you're not likely to want to move around much.

It is technically possible to get capped resistances on a stone tank, but it's not worth the effort. The only way I've found involves slotting four pieces of Shield Wall (a PvP IO set) into various defenses, and putting three pieces of various purple sets into attacks. It's insanely expensive, and comes at the cost of actually being able to fight at a reasonable level. You're much better off building for run speed and recharge.
  24. Broadsword/Katana with Fiery Aura/Electric Armor. The defense from Parry/Divine Avalanche combines nicely with the resistance and self-heal from the armor. To a lesser extent, BS/Katana go well with anything but Super Reflexes (SR already has all the defense it needs).
  25. It will fire 20% of the time when your attack hits, for an overall 28% chance of at least one mitigation effect, and a 2% chance of both stun and knockback.
