  1. Lol no worries, all the heroes heard of the sneakiness after some of them were accidentally...slaughtered...and they in turn swarmed in and slaughtered me lol.

  2. Keep in mind, this toon is my Villain Stalker Karmaa. He made his way into the Hero base in RV on Freedumb. Got a kick outa it, so thought i'd post ;-)

Wow, great time guys/gals. Wish I was on this one with u! Awesome job
  4. Hush little boy and go play soldier.
  5. Hey Libertines,

I've had some real life stuff to deal and take care of which is why I've been on hiatus. Since my RL stuff has gotten so crazy(and unfortunately it comes before gaming) i'm putting a hold on the Scrapper/Stalker Saturdays unless somebody just wants to do it whenever. Im cool with whatever.

Hope all are well. I miss my friends on COH. I'll try and hop on once life slows down. Have a good one all

    Play on!

  6. Won't let me Edit the above post for to place link correctly, and am at work so don't really care to jack with it....

    So here it is Clicky
  7. Ive already posted in the Scrapper/Stalker thread about all this, but since it does pertain to activities happening this weekend, i thought id leave a link here, to what i posted so i don't have to retype it all.
  8. So Saturday the 17th is sposed to be the next Scrapper/Stalker Day, but since it is Double XP weekend im prolly not going to attempt a high lvl TF or something crazy planned. Instead I thought id form up some teams for +4x8 Tips/Radio's/Possibly Farms...Only thing is, Its gonna only be for those new Scrappers or Stalkers being built. We'll do it for an hour or so, so its first come first serve, unless there is another 50 that decides that they want to lead another Scrapper/Stalker XP team.

Ill be outside of the University in Steel Canyon @ 8pm Central/9pm Eastern and those that show up will get some xp'age.

    See ya then.

    Edit:

Thanks again to all that came and made it a smooth process!

I need Mo also, so ill try and stay awake tonight and join u all. Work has been insane lately, so my gaming schedule is come and go atm.
  11. Ya can't miss with KM/WP. Hits hard, live long(if built right). BUT WP is also quite prolific as most people have at least one toon with WP. So if you're looking for a little twist on things, EA might be the best option. As far as survival, IMO WP takes the cake. So, conclusion........personal preference lol.
  12. I just tweaked the above build with my own twist. Love WP, and with this particular build, u oughta be good. This version gives you 46.7% def to S&L and NRG/NegNRG without parry turned on. I also chose agility for the incarnate power, which will put u up to 48% to the 4 above mentioned def without parry. With parry, Melee def is put up to 47%. Agility + Parry u get 52.1% melee def. Also gave you a higher end mod count, and higher recharge.

    Hope this helps ya out.

EDIT: I did get rid of Strength of Will. Its a useless power with this kind of defense. If you need an extra boost, just pick up Barrier for higher lvl game play.

EDIT: The powers aren't in any particular order, I just got the numbers that u need for a survivable build. Ill leave the order in which u choose up to u and your play style.

  13. Are you looking for an "Ideal" build? Or a cost effective build?

    Cat Herding

As far as team work goes, i think that it has to do alot with who you are teaming with. On high lvl TF's i believe there is alot less demand for teamwork, take for instance an ITF. The majority of the people i team with on speed runs i know for a fact could most likely solo the mission. So there isn't a real concern in my mind for those higher lvl missions where the entire team splits up and completes the various requirements to finish that mission/TF.

I do find that in iTrials, and lower lvl tf's there is a need to know your role on the team/league and perform that role the best you can. Case in point, i was on a synapse yesterday. We traveled as a team, and worked together quite well....but we also had to to survive. When your toon is lvl 15-20(even exemplar'd down) there is a much higher risk of you dying from that mob aggro. You're not god like at those lvls, and shouldn't be imo. Thats the time in a toons "career" where u learn how to play it, how to perform for your team, and make sure you stay alive as well as keeping your team alive. Those lessons are continued in the high lvl iTrials (UGT, MoM). Each person has a role. You have to do your best to fulfill that role to keep your team running properly.

In my mind there are two kinds of teams. Those people that i mentioned earlier(we all have them). The ones, that you know how survivable they are. Which direction they will head. If they need a barrier pop before they enter a room or perhaps they are the ones that will give you the barrier pop, knowing full well that ul need it. Knowing, ok, this guy can go solo this room while this one could use some back up. or vice versa.

Then there are those pug teams. The one where you hop on, whether cuz your bored, don't have any globals on, or just are looking for some badges/xp/random fun. With those i don't think you have any choice but to play as a team, other wise you get that lovely team wipe out and then start the mission of with an extra ounce of caution before flying into the x8 room. On those teams i find myself sitting back and watching what role needs to be fulfilled. Whether its the tank can't tank, or the healer can 't heal or whatever and try and fill in the gaps with whatever power i have that might help out. And occasionally you get that awesome pug team where stuff just goes flawlessly and you walk away with that badge or grin on your face from things just jelling the way they were supposed to.

And in the middle of all this is the fact that i do think that the way you organize your toon(screen, power chain, combat attributes etc) greatly increases the amount of success that is put onto a team. IMO that is personal preference and there is no equation for what it is to look like, but i do agree that you need to know what your doing, what state your toon is in , in that instance and knowing, and looking ahead to be able to react to what MIGHT happen. I myself normally play on a laptop as my internet is fast at work, so i generally am playing there. My 17" screen only holds so much...but i do think a person can organize things enough and have the essentials placed out there so you know what is happening and how to react to it all.

Guess those are my thoughts on some of the things posted here.

    GL out there!

I was also trying to suggest that perhaps Liberty might attract more players, or attract more players to PvP on Liberty, without bad apples that affect our reputation. It takes no skill nor honor to kill unattended bots, or to /petition a GM to get at unattended bots. Those who approve of, or even delight in, such behavior hurt all Liberty players, simply by association. Why even bother with Liberty, or try PvP, if you have to deal with childish crap like that?

I played on Virtue for 7 years, and only recently migrated to Liberty a few months ago. I came to Liberty because of great people like Cinder Frost, Ukase Rex, Project Jade, Mystic Fortune, and many others. I found on Liberty a great little community of players that made CoH fun again.

But players that do the childish, stupid, and down right mean things exemplified by HP, HV, and their pals ruin that community. I don't think there's anything wrong with calling them out for it, if it will help make things better for everyone else on Liberty.

Ok well im not going to defend another player on whatever they've done, im sure they are capable of that themselves.

I will say that i do run with hp and hv on occasion. But i have never disrupted a bot farm, for my own personal reasons. I personally have no reason to do it, and honestly don't care who does what lol.

I guess there are two ways of thinking about it:

The fact that it is a pvp zone. PVP zones are pretty much the area where you can place a cross hair on your back once entering, granted liberty isn't very active in pvp, so its a fairly decent place to farm, aka, minimal disruptions. Don't really have to worry about somebody coming across your area, and messing up the money making process. I too have been known to farm from here and there, although I rarely do.

The other that, yes there is one or more bots sitting there, obviously doing a specific job. There should be a sense of respect there for your fellow players. Very understandable in general thinking. Everyone wants to make money, and everyone wants to excel.

Freedom pvp really isn't all that hard. Actually the larger groups of people make it much more enjoyable. But the entire idea of freedom can be quite over whelming with how commercial the server is. Thats one of my reasons for keeping liberty my home. That and what you had stated also, of the great people that also call Liberty home as well. The population may be small, but they are all great people. But that makes it awesome imo, when you know just about everyone on the server, its almost like a big family.

Either way!! I think it can all be fixed, if there is alittle more respect thrown out towards others, and also some understanding thrown out in all directions.

It's now time for some supper. All have a good one.
  19. I don't know if any one has conceded anything. I do believe that the population on liberty being smaller than Freedom is a fact. Pretty sure that isn't in dispute.

As far as belittling another player because they attacked you in a pvp zone is well, silly.

I myself prefer Liberty over Freedom, not because im a small fish in a big pond (which i am ), but because of what E Ion said...People are just more gracious, nice, polite, respectful on this server than freedom. I believe that will be the general consensus on this subject. Everyone dies in pvp, if you never died, well then the devs need to take a look at how it works again....lolpvp...
Always a bigger fish in the sea, no matter who you are, someone, somewhere will always be better, stronger, faster, more agile. Just the way life works.

Liberty as of late seems to actually have gotten abit slower, mainly because of new games coming out, peoples jobs, school etc. But it was around long before I came around and im sure it will last for quite a while longer. Im Grateful for my Liberty com rads and the respect they show eachother.
  20. Best wishes to the happy couple! Congrats
  21. Viva La Liberty!!

I figured I needed to comment on this since im one of pvp'ers that have been spending some time on freedom. A short time ago I spent about 2 weeks straight on Freedom getting my pvp on...and I have to admit that it becomes pretty intoxicating. It's like going up against a constant hoard of EB's lol, and sometimes AV's. Gets your adrenaline pumping.
But...There is something about Liberty. After awhile, you just get called back home. I didn't have the urge to go move my toons to freedom just because of pvp. Even though liberty is at times, barren and freedom is crawling with people...Liberty is still home. Freedom is one of the most commercial servers on the game. Thats annoying. Then the thought crossed my mind to check out exalted, but they now have their own set of problems that i don't wanna deal with. Including just as many noobs as Liberty or any other server. So i guess it comes down to where your heart lies.
So i guess bottom line if there were more pvp'ing Liberty, it would be heaven for me. until that time, Liberty is my home. Freedom is fun to get my pvp fix in. But your family is your family.
  22. WP is pretty awesome once u get it built right. It's a combo of defense/Resist/Regen, and with all those things working together it can be quite fun.

And WP works fine in PVP. But ul want to slot for high HP, cuz ul be a target . And there is no shame in popping a purp insp in zone pvp. And if your into incarnates, T4 barrier is a stalker stopper and will totally piss them off. WP won't perform as well as a Regen scrapper, but its still quite viable.

KM is also very fun, with huge dmg. Even with the upcoming nerf of concentrated strike in pvp, it still deals very good dmg. Just not the 1300hp of dmg it did before . It will deal about the same as Energy Transfer on a stalker. It won't be nerfed in PVE tho.

The two sets have good synergy together. This is my main toon, and can solo just about anything, including taunting AV's for my team without a tank, or a decent tank. Granted, anything will suck if u don't build it right, but once u do, its a blast.

If u have any questions throw me a PM.

    Take care
  23. Cool Breeze. I find that a bit of randomness is a good for the soul . Im sure ill catch up with ya here and there on your randomness.

My work schedule is insane and sometimes random in itself, so thats why I didn't join in on the Cheapskates thing. Hard for me to commit to any kind of routine at this point in time. Was a good idea tho imo.
