KM/WP Scrapper Questions

Erratic

Posted

Hi, I am planning on rolling a KM/WP scrapper and before doing so I had some questions, I apologize before-hand if these questions have already been answered.

1. Is there any major differences between a KM/WP Scrapper or stalker?

2. How does WP compare to other Scrapper secondaries?

3. What are the Pros/Cons of WP As a Secondary.

1. The main difference is the Stalker's hide ability. Stalkers are more of a "Get in, mess stuff up, get out" AT. They are a touch squishier than Scrappers but tend to have a bit higher burst with their Assassin's Strike.

2. Willpower is a fire and forget secondary. Every power that you use will be a passive or a toggle, except for your Tier 8 and 9 abilities (Skippable in some builds). It is a lot of fun if you want to focus on your attacks.

Also, it is kind of a jack of all trades power set. Instead of doing one thing super well, it does everything moderately well (With SOs).

3. If you want to actively play a part in your survival, choose a different set. It does very very well when using IOs.

Personally, I find willpower to be a lot of fun.

To be honest, I haven't pvped for so long that I couldn't even give you a guess on that.

A few more thoughts that came to me:

1. Willpower is a great set for weapon based primaries. Since you have all passives / toggles, you'll rarely be forced to redraw your weapon.

2. The best way to conceptualize some of the sets is (Again, with SOs):

Super Reflexes: Barely gets hit
Invulnerability: Gets hit quite a bit, but the hits don't hurt much
Regeneration: Gets hit all the time, but they don't hurt quite as much, and heals it as soon as the hits land
Willpower: Gets hit a bit less, they don't hurt quite as much, and heals pretty quickly

Honestly, though, Scrappers are very blessed in the fact that they can thrive with just about any power set combination. Find a theme or idea for your character, and run with it!

WP is pretty awesome once u get it built right. It's a combo of defense/Resist/Regen, and with all those things working together it can be quite fun.

And WP works fine in PVP. But ul want to slot for high HP, cuz ul be a target . And there is no shame in popping a purp insp in zone pvp. And if your into incarnates, T4 barrier is a stalker stopper and will totally piss them off. WP won't perform as well as a Regen scrapper, but its still quite viable.

KM is also very fun, with huge dmg. Even with the upcoming nerf of concentrated strike in pvp, it still deals very good dmg. Just not the 1300hp of dmg it did before . It will deal about the same as Energy Transfer on a stalker. It won't be nerfed in PVE tho.

The two sets have good synergy together. This is my main toon, and can solo just about anything, including taunting AV's for my team without a tank, or a decent tank. Granted, anything will suck if u don't build it right, but once u do, its a blast.

If u have any questions throw me a PM.

Take care

KM stalkers do not get Power Siphon but instead get Build Up.

Concentrated Strike therefore recharges Build Up when it crits.

Btw, using Concentrated Strike from a Hidden state is a guaranteed crit.

Yes, KM stalkers get a good deal that way.
