  1. With Tactics slotted up like that, you could probably get away with only 2 acc in the drones and 1 in the Assault bot. As for Twilight Grasp, I'd go 2 Acc, 3 Heal, 1 Rech as you stated first off

I whacked 3 recharges in Tar Patch, can't really see a reason to slow them more...No rain powers to hold them in line, and most of the time they are runing into the melee rather than out of it. The slow won't hold them much longer in an assault bot burn patch to be worth the slot

Should work well anyway hehe, /Dark is awesome however you slot it!
  2. Just to add another viewpoint

Personally I love stamina on my Robots/FF as I was without it for 37 levels and respecced into stamina at 38. I would not look back after playing with stam vs without it.

Ok I know Master Zap isn't a fan and neither are others, but I personally love it!

It's all about playstyle in the end and how you want to play your MM. My reasons to take stamina are:

    1) I don't really have any other 3 powers in the FF set I particularly want to replace stamina!

    2) Running 4 toggles and Force Bolting / Resummoning mid fight in a tough team absolutely kills your endurance. Especially putting 2 force fields on a team of 7 other people with 4 toggles up mid fight. Without stamina that was my entire endurance bar gone ;P Also just bubbling your bots before a tough fight took tons of endurance with 4 toggles up, and to be honest I didn't want to turn them all off just to rebubble!

    3) Being able to summon and buff everyone at the start of a mission without a few blue insps was a joy!

I have also got my Necro/Dark to lvl 29 at last and I have to say it seems to be a lot easier on the endurance than my robot/ff is, however I built in stamina from the start. The problem I am having is /Dark has soo many great powers, I want the 3 power slots now!

Any /Darks out there with their thoughts to no stamina, and taking 1 or 2 personal attacks?

Do you run out of endurance really quick, healing, debuffing and attacking (I would be running 3 toggles + darkest night and attacking with no stamina!)

The reason I ask is for i7 and the Thugs set...I want dual pistols for concept reasons!

    Gratz to Genni

Woohoo!! Grats Gen, I said you'd hit 40 while I was away with work

    - Icy
  4. Grats Win'ter! Must have been hard work after that team last night hehe...didn't go according to plan!
  5. Nooo!!! Bye Zoe, hope the house move goes OK

Don't be tempted to start WoW or anything mad!!!

    All the best,

    - Kal
  6. I suggest you point people to Master Zaprobo's excellent Sticky at the top

The pet emote thing is easy enough though, just type:

    /petsayall <em dance>

to get all of them to dance, replace dance with whatever emote you want And you do need the < >'s.

or for single pets, target them and use /petsay as above...

    Hope that helps

  7. And as an aside, it completely rocks!....

I would get in and use it now, before the incoming huge nerf bat

Things it doesn't push back: Carnie Strongmen, The Rularuu Brutes, some Elite Bosses and all Heros (the npc kind...not sure on player kind.. ). Virtually everything else is pushed back.

Can't remember any more, but they probably are out there!
  8. Aye I agree, I say make the other sets a bit more different than making the bots look more human!
  9. Kalgoras

    Darkest night.

I Agree here Miss_Gunst I had an Ice/Ice corruptor with snow storm, and to be honest i'm struggling to find a harder analogy than a piece of hay in a haystack...but you are right, Snowstorm is the worst by far!
  10. Kalgoras

    Darkest night.

The only way i've noticed is the other powers have 'flat' animations that are horizontal with the floor. Darkest night has a 'cloudy dome' effect around their feet that stands proud of the ground.

However I agree, it's slightly harder to notice in a big fight than a particular piece of hay in a haystack. (Yes even a needle is too easy to spot, compared to darkest night)

    ..
  11. Aye, I didn't find repulsion bomb any more useful with the changes tbh.

It has a horrible long animation, then knocks back a whole group and splits them up...I want them all in a big lump to AoE the crap out of them

  12. Don't think I can make it in time mate, got in late from work today and eating late tonight too

Will give you a shout when I get on...but no idea when that's going to be ;(

    Don't worry about me though
  13. Depends how many slots you have left

I think I went with 2 recharge, 3 heals and an interrupt I think, as I had plenty of slots spare.

For reference I'll chuck my current build in as well:

The order I took the slots is off as I respecced pretty late at 37, but that's pretty much it

Just my angle on the protector bot slotting: I went 2 Acc 2 Damage and 2 Defense, as I felt their heal was pretty decent already. The bubbles are up all the time so I thought to get best use from them.
Lastly, They are only -1 to you and they have a decent AoE attack and good damage, so didn't want to lose that potential, so I like making sure they hit, and hit hard

    - Kal
  14. Hiyas, thought I'd chuck my 2 pence in as well

Looks like a solid workable build to me, you may want to tweak things later after playing with it in reality and deciding what playstyle you like though

    Few points:

    1) With 5 Toggles running and no stamina, your endurance is going to take a serious hammering (even with those endurance rdx). I had problems with 3 toggles running and 2 end rdx SO's in each one if I wanted to bubble teammates or my bots. (I respecced into Stamina at lvl 37 before force bubble, at the expense of invis, grant invis and repulsion bomb which i never used lol. I don't regret it 1 single bit, as it allows me to resummon mid fight with toggles running when things go Pete Tong )

    2) Aid other was really really useful for my MM Repair and Prot bots heal is great, but the cooldowns are long even with 3 recharges.

Nothing else major springs to mind in honesty

Give it a go, and see what you enjoy playing with!
  15. Hi folks,

Thought I would post my build too, for some comparisons with the others (as you can already see, your playstyle and preferences has a big effect on powers).
This one is tried and tested up to 40 and it rocks Although in all honesty you really have to try very hard to muck up a Robots // FF

Ignore the order I took slots...can't remember, but the powers and number of slots is about correct

(I notice it says lvl 41...that might mean I have 3 more slots which I don't really have..anyway you have plenty spare, it's easy to see where you could lose 3 slots from the above without really altering effectiveness)

    Ok now for the reasoning:

    1) I use bots as damage dealers, don't want to get my hands dirty And bots are the most damaging mastermind set post 32 in my opinion, ninjas are good, but nothing beats the sheer AOE goodness.

    2) I went without stamina for 38 levels, but I did a respec and took it, as with 4 toggles running AND trying to bubble my teammates or bots, my endurance was horrible. It also takes some of the pain out of initial summoning, plus you can resummon mid fight if things go 'breasts up'. Later on you really do NOT want to have to turn force bubble off mid fight to resummon, with several orange+ Daemons and Daemon lords itching to get in amongst your bots with smashing/dark attacks and auras...*shudders*.

    3) I love Aid other and repair, definately take both, really helps survivability. I also recommend Teleport due to the Assault bot getting stuck a lot after going up lifts.

    Finally a general tip!

When you enter a mission, go forward a bit and turn 90degrees sideways, so you can summon and buff all your pets. It's only when you've summoned 6 pets, applied 6 buffs, 2 of the higher buffs, turned on 4 toggles, and bubbled the main henchies then you go to click a mob to attack and realise you have clicked on the door by accident; that you truly know the meaning of pain......

    Regards,

    - Kal
  16. I agree that the summoning is tedious, however when starting a mission I can summon all my bots, apply the first upgrade to all and usually upgrade 2 bots with the 2nd tier power. I then start the mission and can apply the second upgrade to all the others as I go.

The only worry I would have with your suggestion is that in the tough team missions, I actually ressummon a reasonable amount, and losing all my toggles etc. would be very painful mid fight. ;(

I like the idea of a faster start, but it's a small price to pay for being able to resummon mid fight without losing so much team defense. Losing force bubble could get very nasty mid fight sometimes...when it's the only thing holding those ravening spectral daemons and lords at bay from getting in amongst your henchies

    MM secondaries

I have a lvl 20 Ninja/Poison MM on the go, and I have to say it's hard work. I'm not 100% sure if that's the poison bit or the ninja bit

Poison has some great single target debuffs to work with, and 1 aoe cone attack which is handy. The heal is really dissapointing though, as it barely dents a Genin's health while costing a ton of endurance. It starts to be useful with some heavily slotted DO's but i'm itching for stamina at 22 in my build :P

The end game debuff looks awesome combined with a melee primary (ninjas or necros), but could somebody who has it comment on the lvl 38 power?

Otherwise I may keep muddling through due to the scarcity of /poison folk out there.

  18. While it's still in vogue, it's only polite

Grats mate, at this rate my second lvl 40 will be about the time you get your 10th...

As for those others with 3 or more in your sig's...well you need help...all of you dammit!

    *...looks at Flick and Jamus...*

P.S. Tell me what job/situation you have at home that gives you that time....I want in!
  19. Woohoo! Grats mate

Now time to start making alts!
  20. Good idea

    1) Size of the Assault Bot:

Not sure if this is an AI issue or game mechanics When going through lifts in missions, the Assault bot seems to spawn on top of another minion, which results in 1 or sometimes both being stuck.

    2) Giving inspirations to pets:

No real problem with robots except 1 situation but a chronic problem with the Necro set (specifically Zombies).

I have a theory at the problem here (could be wrong). When you use an inspiration, it replaces/is treated the same way as using a power. Zombies and the Assualt bot using the flamethrower have extremely slow attacks, either recharge or animation (possibly activation, which could be the problem too). If you give either of these minions an inspiration and they are mid animation, or winding up for an attack (not sure on exact timing) then the game 'forgets' you have given them one and nothing happens; although the inspiration dissapears from your tray.
When you move the inspirations around in your tray below or on the square of the used inspiration, the one you have just given 'reappears'. Sometimes the game remembers the original insp which buffs the pet at the end of their animation and lets you give the 'reappeared' inspiration to it as well so they get buffed twice if you rearrange the inventory quickly. This in effect dupes the inspiration, but it illustrates it seems to be the pets with long attack animations. I have done this a few times by accident while desperately trying to give my pet an inspiration that it doesn't seem to use.

Ninjas, battle drones and protector bots don't seem to suffer this as they attack soo fast. Try it with a necro mastermind on the zombies and giving them inspirations is a pain!

    3) Could be a similar situation to the above, in that pets do not respond immeadiately to commands, if they set off to attack something and you call them back, often they will continue and administer that attack before responding to your command. It's as though the attack is 'queued' and until it is executed, the pets will not respond as your command is queued after it.
I agree with Zap over the burn patch, this causes similar effect, they seem to have a certain distance they want to flee before responding.

That's all I can think of for now, Zap covered most of the others that irritate me
  21. I suggest you read Master Zaps sticky at the top, I think there is an overview of all the MM primaries.

As for synergy with the /Dark secondary, I would say they all work well, with the possible exception of ninjas who run pretty fast and may be awkward to capture with Twilight Grasp, Darks heal. Dark is pretty much the best secondary as far as being well rounded, it works with all of them really.

  22. I don't mind people randomly asking if I want to join a SG at all, but I HATE having that blind SG invite box just pop up on my screen from some random person.

Why would I want to join a SG that doesn't even ask if I want to join or even speak to me first?

Starting out with bad manners isn't a good way to recruit hehe
  23. Excellent idea

Let the spammage commence! *cracks knuckles and flexes fingers*

I've got a reasonable idea and experience with most primaries and some secondaries...except trick arrow, and traps! , but I confess to having no clue on PvP!
