I have a few lvl 50 stalkers myself, and I usually do pretty well teaming up with a brute/tank. With the AOE damage from spines, you would want someone to take most of the aggro while the stalker dishes out all the damage.

I'd go brute. As far as your powers, you want something with a lot of res/regen. You can't really go wrong with Super Strength / Willpower.
If you dont like that combo. You can go with Super strengh, Elec Melee, Claws, or even Street justice.
Secondarys, Willpower, Elec armor, Fire amor, Invuln, or you can match your buddy and go with Dark Armor. Regen is nice and new, but if your going to be taking aggro, just know that you need to be more proactive with your heals.
On the defence side Super Reflexes is my personal fav, but bear in mind that when you get hit, you get hit hard. Shield defence is good fun too, decent defence with some res back up.

Well if your looking to take damage, I would try a brute, or a tank. Electric armor is a beast, or you can try Willpower. WP is pretty much an all around set with res, +regen/ recov, and +HP. Invuln is pretty solid too, if you can get perma dull pain. Or you can go the other route and take a look as Super Reflexes- very good defence, only down side is the low res, if, and when you get hit, it WILL hurt.

So far /SR is pretty funz

Ok thanks for the replys. What about the damage end of things, I have exp with EM on my 50 stalker, but how dose DM compare? Dose it get better with Soul drain? Dose soul drain last longer than buid up?

Better paired with Energy melee or Dark melee....

OK im sure this has been discussed over and over, but dose anyone have any solid HP numbers between Scrappers and brutes? I'm currently rolling a DM/SR scrapper and his damage seems pretty solid, but I kinda miss that "tanking" feeling. So i have been thinking of trying a DM/SR brute instead. So I guess my question is, is it worth trying that build on a brute, or should I stick with my scrapper? Can anyone throw down some HP/def numbers? whats the HP cap on scrappers compared to brutes?

OK, I sure that this has been discussed before, but I was wanted to get some updated opinions. I'm allready set on rolling a Darek Melee / Super Reflexes toon, but torn between making a brute or a scrapper. Im looking at survivability and high damage. I am aware that SR is pretty squishy untill higher lvls and IO'd out, but with the -acc from DM it will make SR a bit more durable. As far as the damage output, I need some input on the numbers between fury from brutes, and the crits from scrappers, as well as HP numbers.

I'v decided to roll a PVE only stalker. I'm going to use Energy Aura for my secondary, mainly because of Energy drain. I'm just seeing what would be a better choice for AOE combined with EA. I know that stalkers arent used for to much aoe, but I have plenty of exerpience with brutes, and I want to change it up a bit. Plus i'm a big fan of stalkers.
So what do you guys think? Spines or Elec melee?

I have plenty of experience with /Nin and /SR, and been wanting to go a different route.
With the stalkers lower HP, I know having a RES secondary isnt allways the best idea.

IS fast healing, and reconstruction for WP just as good as RG?

K, Thank you guys for your input. After compareing both builds in MIDs, I went with /WP.
it has just as much res against Smashing and lethal, and a decent def agaist everthing else. the +end and +regen helped me decide.

Hey all, I'm thinking of finally rolling a brute to lev 50. I have 3 lev 50 stalkers so i have plenty of exp with EM/ DM/ and ELM/ all been paird with /NIN /SR and /WP
My goal is to have plenty of AOE, and have a decent suvivability.
I allready have a ELM/SD scrapper so I wanted to go with something else.
My mind is pretty much set on DB for the aoe, and the concept. So im torn between elec armour, or WP.
With someone eles exp what would be a better match with DB?

... You work in retail, you walk up to the cash register to help out with a long line, and you allmost litterally "taunt" the next customer. I didnt do it, but just out of playing my tank all the time, I ALLMOST put my hand up in a "come here" motion and made that "OooAHH" sound. LOL
