Take care Pope. Always fun chewing the fat with ya, feel free to drop in on vent anytime.
  2. Logging in now, I'll bring my ill/emp with fly and recall, he works best for shard stuff.
  3. I'm available for this one, or should be. I'd really like to do something red side if possible, but down with just about anything.

lol that is funny stuff but A few good men is one of my fav movies.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. And although this particular bit of dialogue gets a lot of play and is very well known, it's actually not my favorite bit in that movie. This would be my favorite bit:

Kaffee: Whoa. Hold it. We gotta take a boat?
Barnes: Yes, sir. To get to the other side of the bay.
Kaffee: Nobody said anything about a boat.
Barnes: Is there a problem, sir?
Kaffee: No, no problem. I'm just not that crazy about boats, that's all.
Galloway: Jesus Christ, Kaffee, you're in the Navy for crying out loud.
Kaffee: Nobody likes her very much.
    Barnes: Yes, sir!

  7. This thread, I repeat THIS THREAD of all threads has devolved into a discussion of hair care and hair care related products.

    FAIL

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Edit: The recent turn towards hawt girl on girl action is a VAST improvement. Thank you ladies, you've saved the thread.

LOL Someone who plays WOW talking smack about Star Wars. Truly there is no accounting for taste. You know I believe in what Voltaire said about defending your right to say things I disagree with, but your pushing it kid. Take the blasphemy elsewhere, cause in this thread it amounts to little more than trolling.

  10. A couple of observations:

I don't care what Mr Dead's resume is, he clearly has no understanding of how critical community is to the success of this or for that matter, any, MMO. He strongly implies that long time loyal customers who are central and highly visible members of the community leaving is of little concern as long as their are new people to replace them. Anyone who knows anything about business, let alone the MMO industry, knows this is pure garbage. Existing costumers are valuable because you do not have to expend additional resources to generate revenue from them. Attracting new customers is expensive and resource consuming. The general rule of thumb in business is that it takes $10 of new business to replace $1 of existing business. Long time existing costumers are even more valuable because they have proven willing to stick with your company or product and each have generated substantial revenue for you (a single 60 month vet in this game is worth a bare minimum of $750 in revenue over that time span). Long term existing costumers who are community leaders are pure gold to an MMO franchise, and are worth much more to that business than just the revenue their accounts generate. These players are pivotal in creating and building the community or sense therof, that is critical to any MMO's success. Players who feel a part of a community are more active and subscribe longer on average than those that don't.

Anyone who has followed the Justice forums for any significant length of time should regard Kat's lengthy post in this thread as a red flag in and of itself. Kat has been here since the beginning and been active both ingame and on the forums for the entire 5 years this game has been live. Yet in all that time, Kat has deliberately avoided becoming involved in heated discussions or heavily debated issues on the forums, preferring to take a positive albeit detached position on virtually all such matters. This is the longest post I've ever seen her make. I happen to agree with just about every she says in it, but even if I didn't, merely knowing her past history and posting habits would be enough to give me pause and consider her post as a red flag of the gravity of this situation.

Finally, a word to Mr Dead directly: It is true that your 15 bucks gives you exactly the same right to post here as anyone else. However your ignorance of, and obvious disrespect towards, the norms and established members of this community who were here before you has destroyed your credibility here. Having the right to speak in an online forum counts for little if no one has any respect for the poster. It is yelling gibberish in an empty stadium and is about as useful or meaningful.

DC Comics has kept Superman busy for over sixty years, long past the point where anyone cared.

    Fixed.
  13. See subject line. Take it elsewhere guys, you're killing the buzz.
  14. Let me help you out with this one Rusty. CoX is not like other MMO's. There is no traditional "endgame" content because CoX is not about the end, like life, it is about the journey. Rushing to the end via powerleveling or what have you makes little sense in this game because that's not where the game happens. It happens along the way. That's also part of the reason this game is a lot more alt oriented than other MMO's.

If you are looking for an epic battle between heroes and villians check out Recluse's Victory, the high level pvp zone. However given recent extremely unpopular changes to pvp mechanics, don't expect to see tons of people there.
  15. IMO Clear Mind does not need more than a single slot. The rez power on the other hand many people slot for both recharge and end reduc. If you have 3 extra slots to spare having the rez 4 slotted with 2 50 common IO's each of recharge and cost reducer is the ideal, but by no means necessary. For other healing powers, it depends upon whether you need a to hit check for the power to work (ie tranfusion). Most do not and for these I would recommend Numina's Convalesence up to 4 slots. Miracle is also not a bad set, and if you're a recharge fiend you might want to consider 5 slotting doctored wounds for the recharge bonus.
  16. Got my 60 month badge a week or two ago. It's nice but not world beating, so far have only taken advantage of it on one toon, but that may change.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    True Story.
  18. Once you have any given memorization badge, it cuts the crafting cost of making that IO by about 40%, nearly in half, in addition you no longer need the recipe in order to craft it. Depending on the cost of the common salvage needed to craft a given IO, this usually means that for those common IO's that have consistent demand, a person with the badge can craft and sell them at a profit because the going rate for those in demand IO's (at least at higher levels) is significantly above production cost for those with the badge. I realize that doesn't directly answer your question but it's useful and IMO relevant information that you may want to factor into your decision of whether or not to work on getting the table.

Also note that each of the level 25 and 30 memorization badges (which are required for field crafter) expand your salvage storage space by two slots, so there is some benefit there. Further, the level 45 and 50 badges, while not required for field crafter, expand your recipe storage space by one each.

Hope you find this info useful.

    Sat Sara Moore

Wrend and I will be running Sara Moore saturday the 16th (today) starting at 7pm EST/4 pm PST with team gathering 15 minutes prior to start. IF (and this is a big if) everyone who said they would be there or try to be there shows, then I THINK we have a full team. Since we all know that's unlikely to happen, there will probably be one or two spots available on the team. Sara Moore is level range 40-50, given the uncertainty of team makeup I cannot say for certain if we will have sk space. This run is estimated to take about 3 hours. Post here if you are interested in joining in, space permitting.
  20. Someone may need to call me to wake me up in time for the start. I'm just now getting home from work and it will take me a while to get to sleep. If I'm a no show at start time, feel free to plug someone else in to my spot.
