That thing is totally prejudiced against guys with comb-overs and chest hair -
Is she the daughter of a deity or Dracula? You're not allowed to play if you're not the child of a deity or Dracula.

Makes the amount of money Paragon City spends on giant granite hero statues almost seem sane. -
I didn't notice right away because the global channels and emails were down this morning but I see folks voted Lounge Crooner to have the best costume. Thanks!

What has been seen can not be unseen!
This was my view throughout the TF

Quote:It's the bright red that really does it. I certainly can't speak for all equestrians but my sister has a wall full of ribbons and trophies and in all the shows I've seen her in, the colors of the riders have been blues, grays, browns and tans. But you'd never see the traditional "fox hunting" painting done with the riders in blue and tan jackets. The bright red jacket is pretty distinctive.I think I should point out that a "fox-hunting outfit" is actually just standard formal riding wear - boots, breeches or jodhpurs, dress shirt or blouse, hacking jacket and helmet - it's much better to call it equestrian wear, and not associate it with animal cruelty, as it can give the wrong impression of equestrians.
-
My mother and sister are into the equestrian thing so I suppose that helps but if I showed someone a painting such as this, I don't think there's be much question about what country is being depicted. Good for you guys for finally making it illegal, though.

My wife found a place in the city that makes Peruvian style chicken so she's bringing some home for dinner. which means she'll be home late. Which means we won't eat until late. Which means I won't be on until late.
So I might make an ITF if there's still one tonight but I'm skeptical about making the Numinanumina. -
Quote:I think you spelled "Polish Princess" wrong1. Bubbawheat -> Jophiel's Pachamama(refs)

I've noticed, in my time, a good number of characters defined by their ethnicity. More than a few Soviet characters (while 'Soviet' might not be a strict ethnicity, it calls one to mind), Native Americans, Irish, etc. I'm really speaking more of ones where their ethnicity is a major part of the character -- someone dressed in white with the red Japanese 'Rising Sun' symbol on their chest as opposed to an ice blaster where you just happened to use one of the Asian faces.
Do you have any relation to the ethnicity of your character? Did you just think it fit a concept? Anything particularly interesting about how you arrived at them?
Just to get the ball rolling:
Polish Princess: (Poland) A hero whose mother, a grad student with the Jagiellonian University, died after exposure to radiation leaking from a recovered Nazi science project while PP was still in the womb. I am mostly Polish by ethnicity (live in the Chicago area though, 3rd Generation) and enjoy the cultural aspects: food, traditions, etc. The name itself was derived from a nickname for my mother when she'd start getting overly cute.
Bad Czech: (Czech Republic) A petty thief and counterfeiter from Prague who gained his strength from a serum discovered in an abandoned Soviet lab while on the run from Russian mafia goons. What bits of me aren't Polish are Bohemian. The punny name for this villain comes from a favorite joke around the family. "What do you call a Bohemian getting tossed out of a bar? A bounced Czech!" Wokka, wokka, wokka... right? I'll admit that while Polish Princess was born from a bit of ethnic pride, Bad Czech was really born out from the joke.
Tally-Ho: (England) An English TA/A defender in a classic fox-hunting outfit. I have no connection to the English in an ethnic sense but I saw I could make a snazzy fox-hunting outfit in the character creator. You can't see her and not think of England but she's pure concept.
Pachamama: (Peru) My wife is from Peru and partially of indigenous descent. She played with the character creator once, trying to make an Inca woman and got frustrated. Later I decided to give it a shot and created Pachamama, an Inca priestess who was held in suspended animation by the earth when Pizarro's armies began their conquest of the Empire and was later released to help against the misguided Devouring Earth. While I personally have no connection to Peru, my wife was extremely pleased with my results
I'm sure there's some great stories out there. -

Was this a glitch that put you there or something I just don't know about?
Amusing screen shots either way -
Having the same issue here with the tiny numbers and mashed oval slots. My screen is set to my monitor's native resolution.
I can squint and make out the numbers but the whole thing is extremely ugly and I can't believe it was designed that way on purpose. -
Quote:It is at its native resolution. Looking at the Tech support forum, I'm not the only one having this problem. You need to re-adjust your graphics to match your monitor's native resolution. This is the respec screen and the UI as it appears on mine.
-
Like the new graphics and they perform fine on my 9800+ GTX. Even did a RWZ raid tonight and it handled just fine.
Hate... hate... HATE the way they screwed up how enhancements look, especially in the enhancement/respec screen on a widescreen monitor. Everything is smashed into ovals with really tiny numbers. For absolutely no good reason or benefit that I can discern. -
I could run Pachamama on an ITF. If Earth/Storm doesn't give us enough control, I don't know what to tell ya guys.
If for some reason the ITF doesn't work out on Friday, I'm generally willing to join in on one, JK. Throw me a tell or catch me on 606. -
I'd be game. Let's do it!
I still think of The Polish Princess as my signature character, despite her being in quasi-retirement, hoping for a GR name purge so she can be restored to her former homeland glory. -

I've seen that burger around CoV lots of times. Don't know why it would have switched for you though when you changed quality levels.

Turning off xp works.
Also, don't do newspaper missions beyond what you might need for the temp travel powers. Stick with traditional contacts instead.
Use Ouroboros to revisit old content you may have passed up.
Ultimately though the answer is to just play your way up, start an alt and take a different path this time. Consider that missed content to be a measure of replay value where you're not funneled down the exact same content path every single time. -
I moved my "mains" to Virtue from Victory. Originally just moved one or two to play with some other people and slowly wound up migrating all of them. I think I realized my move was for good after a few weeks when I started taking the Victory globals off my list and eliminating global friends from Victory (not close friends but just people you'd call on to form a TF when you still had slots open).
I haven't felt much culture shock or anything aside from noting that the TF channel on Virtue is much more militant about not allowing idle chatter than the TF/Grouping channel on Victory. I understand why it is but it was still a shift. -
I'm not exactly captivated by watching Rommy do the Lightning Spaz Dance for the 500th time and I do think it's kind of neat that folks can insert themselves into the image (characters, not spam). Makes me wonder what the scene looks like from the "outside" as it were. The spam itself is kind of lame although it's not ruining anything for me. More of an eye-rolling cry for attention with a worn out joke.
But I agree that leaving a fight to race someone for the privilege of spamming the cut scene is really stupid.
