New Posi Costume Fun Party!!

I enjoyed VexXxa's all red Manticore run so much that I'm stealing her idea and would like to run a themed TF, and since issue 17 is going live on Wednesday, what a perfect time to run the new Positron Task Force: The Rule of Three and Dam Heroes.

Now for the costume party part. I think it would be great to dress up as... each other! If you're interested, sign up here and post what you think your most signature character is (or if you don't feel like you have a signature character, choose a canon signature character), once we get 8 people signed up, I'll randomize the list and deal out which character gets who. You can either make a new character and get them up to level 10-15 (shouldn't take too long, right?), or just use an extra costume slot on one of your current characters - the powersets don't have to match up, it's a costume party after all. And your costume can be as exact as possible, or could also be a new spin on it. Whichever you prefer.

The time? Next Saturday evening, we'll narrow down the time as we get more sign-ups. I'd prefer to go after 9pm EST which is near my daughter's bedtime, but can get on earlier.

The server? Virtue.

Prizes: the best costume (decided by popular vote) gets 10 million inf to be sent by global e-mail. I might also give out some costume salvage for extra prizes if I can scrounge some up.

That sounds like fun! It might be a bit late for me, though - there's a local comic con the next day that may get me up earlier than a normal Saturday. I'll have to see, though.

I still think of The Polish Princess as my signature character, despite her being in quasi-retirement, hoping for a GR name purge so she can be restored to her former homeland glory.

Though, I must say, it may have been nice for you to either hook up with VexXxa on the idea or run at a different time or day than she normally does..

I think VexXxa's running a Numina TF Friday night at around 8pm et. Maybe if the Costume party was pushed to Saturday or Sunday? Or even one day earlier, Thursday. Since it's split into two TFs it'd be hella shorter and easier to tackle.

Oops, I don't know what I was thinking. Yes, Saturday night, around the same time range. We'll narrow it down as we get more people that might have narrow schedules.

For Saturday, I'd be in Planet Girl, of course. (refs in sig, like everyone else around here... >.>)

Edit: I neglected to get all the global names myself (someone else said they got them), so hopefully they'll post one with our names and the character, adn who our costumes were. Most are pretty easy to tell, or are too scary to ask about.

Thanks everyone for coming out, had tons of fun. Sorry to those that couldn't get in due to our full team, will absolutely be doing this again sometime.

That was lots of fun! Another great costume TF in the books! Everybody had great costumes, but my personal favorites were Planet Girl as Bayani, which was so good, that I kept mistaking her for Bayani, and Crooner's Mr. Frost which looked like Stan Lee.

That's actually supposed to be a Ms. Frost, as in my ice controller <shudder> as opposed to Frost's main, who has a different look, but a similar name and power set.


Now someone with some time and talents could work up a photo-shopped pic with the original characters and paste it below the screenie Bubba had as a comparison.

And that elbow and head was some guy that wouldn't move.
