Most people (so it seems) view the text box as an obstacle between the contact and smashing NPCs. I'd assume you're in the majority.
I like a good story but I don't sweat some of the details others do. Different levels for different things and different people. -
Ran it last night. My Katana/Fire Aura scrapper laughed off most of the ghoul bombs but everyone else was making constant hospital runs. Durray was annoying beyond belief and mitigated any enjoyment I had experienced up to that point. I think we spent 45min on him.
I suppose more holds would help on Durray but, since there's no more substantial reward to entice me (like the Kal power), I can't see myself playing it again. There's more fun things to do in CoH.
Eh, it might be fun on my Earth/Storm 'troller. -
Sorry about the Acids thing. I was too busy planning how I could dance next to Marauder to pay attention to the instructions.
But you WERE really impressed with how I managed to place myself right in the correct spot while you guys were off getting -- what were those? "Acids"? -- right? Wasn't it just the funniest thing EVER?
Oh, well... sucks that we failed but just WAIT until you see me playing the drums next to Marauder on our next run! LOLOLOLOL!!! -

When I played my AR blaster with the sniper rifle model, I used to love using the snipe to take down the last guy. The animation of holding up and aiming the rifle, then... BANG!
My Earth/Storm 'troller can be fun just for the amount of visual noise she can pump out. Well, fun for me, anyway. Can't speak for the rest of the team

CoH's expansion rate of one every 3.5 years (I'm counting CoV despite it launching as a separate game) is definitely slow compared to competition from the same time. These days it seems like MMORPGs don't get enough of a head of steam to start cranking out expansions like they used to.
CoH obviously has had a lot of free content updates and I won't even try to compare the two in "value". -

Maybe I'm slow but I'm not sure I understand.
Is the message here that you either qualify for a component reward or you don't and, if you do, then you have the same chances at a Common-V. Rare as everyone else who qualified? -

I assumed Ninja Run/Beast Run/Jump Pack were available due to the significant number of people who use them as their sole travel powers. They don't unbalance the trials and removing them would just make a lot of people upset that they need to respec or build/IO a second build just to include a travel power.

It has an AE building, trainer and WW all seconds form one another. Resources like that would be a significant boon for any invading army to capture, especially one that needs to rapidly train new soldiers for the front line.

Yeah, but no one knows or cares who those are statues of. Atlas is a Grade A Landmark.
I suppose you could make an argument for wiping out the center of the government except that this is a city we're talking about. It's not as though City Hall is actually coordinating hero response.
