    You should have tried hover-sniping Recluse. Not sure if a fire/fire could pull it off with their range, but I've seen an Emp/Dark defender keep Recluse occupied while the rest of us took out the towers. Recluse actually ended up just standing there being angry while he got sniped.

    10% of 120 is 12. You will get 12 endurance per proc. I think I got a little confused by some of what you said there, but yeah, it's 10%. My Tanker and Blaster that both (oddly enough) have 111.8 endurance each get 11.2 endurance each time the perf shifter procs. And all recovery will be based on your max end, so there will be no changes in effectiveness to either no matter what your max end is. Perf shifter proc (when averaged) will always outperform throwing End Mod IO/SOs in Stamina.

    My personal percentage of level 50's is rather low. Somewhere around 10%. Then again, I have 14 level 50's out of 135ish characters total. Lately, due to time constraints, I only really play the level 50's on a regular basis. Due to this, it would appear to a casual observer that my level 50 percentage is close to 75%. But my level 50's are rare amongst my character roster. And of those, only one of them is anywhere close to getting the final alpha slot. My inv/ss tanker is 4 shards away from getting it. Once I do, that slot will be extremely rare for my characters to have; only 1 out of 135ish. Less than 1%; that's very rare in my book. Even when just looking at my level 50's, 1 out of 14 is 7%; so that's still pretty rare.

    It's not really that the slots are very rare in the sense that they're hard to find. It's that it's very rare to find a character with the slot (especially if we are talking about total character lists and are just picking at random to check if they have the very rare alpha slot).

    If you want to include all of them in your signature, you could fake it by making a .png that just has text on a transparent background and type as much as you want and use the image as your sig by uploading it to photobucket/imageshack/whateveryouwant. Me, I just include a link to my paragonwiki user page since there's way too many characters in my roster.

  8. I don't have time to count that many. Last time I counted it was over 130, but I've deleted some and made new ones; I have no idea what the count is now.

    A lot of my characters on my non-home server are under level 10 and should, by all rights, just be deleted so someone else can have the names. I love them all though.

    44 characters on my home server between my two accounts; 14 of which are 50, 14 more above 20, and the other 16 are between 2-14. I've been focusing on some of my 50's recently to get them incarnated; I wish I had more free time to put in some work on leveling others.

    Side note, if you click the link that says "all my characters" or whatever in my sig, it links to my pwiki user page that has a not-so-recently updated list of all my characters and story for many of the ones on Guardian.

    Same. On every character I've run, I just sort of run around at random knocking out whatever I can target in whatever zone I'm in (as long as it's 20+ level enemies) until I get a tip. After that, I get tips from the enemies in the tip missions as I run them. I think I've only ever had to repeat the run-around once since tips have been introduced.

    But random number generator is random, so ymmv.

    Actually, the absolute cheapest form of entertainment is dreaming. Or maybe it'd be hallucinating from sleep deprivation? Not the best entertainment, but it requires less investment. No need to be clothed or anything. No need to drive or take a bus or walk to the library.

    That's all really besides the point though.

    I wouldn't call CoX the cheapest form of entertainment, but it is an economically wise entertainment choice. Given that one month of sub time costs less than a movie ticket, popcorn, and drink at most movie theaters these days; you're getting a lot more bang for your buck with the CoX subscription.

  14. During one of the winter events a while ago, I think it was the first one we got the jingle jet for... A friend of mine had a female tanker and when she'd taunt with the jingle jet active, she mooed. Very distinct moo too, not just a trick of the ears.

    My Peacebringer is based on me. I don't think I have any screenshots handy of him in his street-clothes though. And I just made a Stalker based on myself too. I've never been able to get into the Stalker playstyle before, but I came up with a pretty interesting story for my Praetorian self and figured I could try two sets I haven't tried before (Kin and Nin).

    And typically, now I use the fighthawk in-game since it looks the most like my current hairstyle even though it would need the ponytail added onto it, like such:


    So that's just how I imagine the Fighthawk looks. I wish they'd add a hawktail style, but considering I'm the only person I know of who has ever used that term for my hairstyle and don't know many people who share the style... It's not likely to happen.

    CR's advice will work unless the album is set to private, (2short, that may have been part of the problem). I have my albums all set up as publicly viewable, so even if I link to an album instead of an individual picture, you'd be able to see it all, even if you're not logged in/don't have a facebook. If you ever want to do this, there's a little blurb near the bottom of the page that says "Share this album with anyone by sending them this public link:" and then that's followed by a link to that album. For instance, here's a link to the album with all of my profile pictures in it:

    And you don't need to log into facebook to see any of the pictures.

    You're not the only mohican here, GhoulSlayer. Although, mine is currently too long to spike regularly. In fact, I think I haven't spiked it since that picture was taken(which was Oct 26 2009). I also think it hasn't been cut since that pic was taken either. The sides get shaved every month or two, but the hawk(hawktail as I call it considering the style now) has been growing for quite some time now.

    And all this just made me realize that I have 23 albums on facebook. One of which is that profile pics album, one of which is from a nature hike (aka no people in it), one of them is various random pics that I posted on my wall, and then the other 20 are all my 3D work. Craziness.

    I believe that what I said must be being read wrong. I do not assume that anyone is a pervert. I was trying to say that people should not assume that others are perverts when they have anthropomorphic characters. That's it.

    Personally, I'm quite happy about this pack and plan to use a variety of the pieces. And I don't plan on discriminating against anyone for their choice of costume.
  20. I have 13 or so, maybe 14, 50's. Only 3 of them currently have any incarnate powers. And that's probably how it's going to stay for quite some time. One of them is a mummy that was brought back to life by the god Horus (hence touched directly by a god and appropriate that he should get god-like powers). Another is my inv/ss tanker that used to be a normal human until her parents were killed and she was granted powers by the fae. And the fae work in more mysterious ways than the Christian god, so that makes sense. And the last is my DP/Elec blaster who is the daughter of a brilliant inventor. She learned from him and keeps on upgrading all of her tech, so it makes sense that she'd continue to upgrade everything even after she can't level up anymore (I was actually happiest about the incarnate system for her since for a while I had stopped playing her because she couldn't continue her improvements).

    As for the other 10 or so 50's that I have, they're probably not going to go incarnate any time soon. Things may change though, my characters' stories are ever-evolving and changing. If something happens that pushes them down the path of the incarnate, I won't not do it just because they started out as a normal human who was just really good at martial arts.

    Yeah, I'm familiar with the program used. Well, not too familiar, but I know what it is as I have seen it described on the minecraft forums.

    And I wasn't referring to making it blocky, more about what details to keep in. Should I make it like the first, second, or third head in this image: http://www.rickymujica.com/post/joli...rogression.jpg ? Or in between 2 and 3? Also, that's not my work. Just a quick google search to get an example. My work's at www.ediblepoly.com if you want to see what I can do.

    And no, GG. Usually I don't take requests, but DF is doing something I like with it. Considering that I'm currently using educational software and it's illegal for me to make a profit from it, this means that anything I do for someone else will be gratis. So unless I like what's going to be done with my work, I'm not gonna be handing it out.

    If that's what you got out of what I said, then you're reading it wrong. I was saying nearly the exact opposite. That just because I have an anthropomorphic (anamorphic is something else entirely btw), this doesn't mean that I'm a pervert.

    For the purposes of my additional tips, when you duplicate for the shadow layer; don't move either layer around on the canvas. Just drag the shadow layer under the art layer in your layer window and cease worrying about its placement just yet.

    A Gaussian Blur applied to the whole shadow isn't quite the most accurate portrayal of how shadows work. A real shadow will be crisper the closer it is to the object casting it, and fuzzier the further away it is. The best way to accomplish this in the least amount of time (we don't want to have to go in and use the blur brush for this) is to duplicate the shadow layer again. Apply the blur to this new duplicate. Then using a large(and by large, I do mean large, we're talking around half the size of the shadow's height) eraser with hardness turned down to 0, erase the bits of the shadow closest to the feet. Then go down to the first shadow layer, the crisp one, and erase the bits of the shadow from the head area. And you'll still want to adjust the opacity of each layer. Just be sure to leave the area closest to the source darker and crisper. Another way to achieve this, in probably a faster fashion, is to use the two layers in conjunction with layer masks, but that process, while faster to execute, is harder to explain.

    Hope you don't mind me adding tips and bonuses to your tips.

    As for my own tip/trick. If you're working in photoshop/gimp/whathaveyou, every once in a while flip your image horizontally and vertically (first horizontal, look at it, then vertical, look at it, then horizontal again, look at it, then vertical again to get it back to original orientation). I know, you just set it back to normal. That's not the important part. The important part is looking at it. When you're working on a project and staring at it for extended periods of time, all the errors and slight imperfections get lost because you get used to looking at them. When you look at the image flipped, these "minor" things will figuratively jump off the screen at you and you'll wonder how you could have missed them. This is really just more a tip about drawing though and not some technical thing. But if you're not doing it, then you should start.
