Did a new Forum Favicon fix the Logout Bug?

No, it did not.

What is that image even supposed to be?

We need our Red, Blue and White "Star and Bars" Favicon back. This new thing doesn't seem to represent anything about us.

For those of you who don't know what a Favicon is, it is the image that appears next to the URL Address and on the Page Title, ie Top of the tab.

It looks to only be showing for the forums because the original is still the favicon for http://www.cityofheroes.com/en.html

I noticed that. It does make it more difficult to quickly find it on my Favorites bar, despite it not having moved.

I don't see a new favicon, there's no link to an alternate favicon in the page source and http://boards.cityofheroes.com/favicon.ico is the same as the old one.

However, a favicon was certainly not the only thing changed, because my Greasemonkey script broke. I remove the "Forum Tools" dropdown and replace it with simply "Mark This Forum Read". Previously, it would mark the forum read and go up one level in the board hierarchy. After the forum maintenance, I would get an error saying I didn't have authorization for that action. After fixing my script to match the mark read link of the unmodified forum, it marks posts read without going up a level.

(I also make the thread title link to the newest post, instead of forcing me to click on the tiny little arrow. That part of my script didn't break.)

I think that's the logo for the software the forum uses.

It bugged me that the favicon was changed to the default one provided by the forum software. Change it back!

Chrome changes my flavicon to the real CoH flavicon once I'm done with the login process and back at http://.

Firefox doesn't seem to want to give up the imposter flavicon.

When you enter your username and passwod that whole process sends you though a secure "server" so people can't steal your info. The flavicon in the secure "server" is the wrong flavicon so someone needs to change that come Monday. Then someone needs to give me my Vanguard pack early as payment for solving the praetorain flavicon mystery.

I don't like the favicon either, but I bet if I made a thread about it I'd get a bunch of people ragging on me for posting about trivial bull when there's forum logout bugs and broken PVP to fix.

I don't give a rodent's posterior about the favicon being broken. The forums are coasting past their six month anniversary of craptacular broken-ness.
