I've got a Fire/Storm...lvl 40 now I think, and solo on -1x8. I've ended up in some ridiculous situations with incoming ambushes and had a crazy lot of fun surviving them....most of the time!
Tips...let me think.
I always run Hurricane when solo and that combined with my slotting for Ranged Defence means I'm pretty well protected. I'm up to 25ish Ranged Def at the moment and am still slotting IOs to build up more.
I tend to try to keep Lightning Storm(s) out, throw Tornado at adds if things get out of hand to distract them, Freezing Rain + Snow Storm to slow mobs and keep them in my AoEs....hell, I've even used Gale on occasion to delay mobs for a couple of seconds.
Now, I don't know how much of what I can do is how good Fire is at melting enemies vs how good Storm is at keeping them off me. I do know I shelved the DP/Kin I started at the same time as I preferred the Fire/Storm.
One other thing...with -1x8 I'm killing so many things I can eat Inspirations like candy and they keep on giving me more. So I'm often using a purple, few reds, etc which does really make a difference. -
I'll come. Probably finish my Isos catch-up, just in time to miss 2 more weeks...
-
I'll make this week. Will miss the next two because of holidays.
-
I don't have Ninja Run in a tray at all, it's just a bind. Same problem.

Sorry I missed last week's session, I'm going to be away from my PC for tomorrow night too. At least 2 Wednesdays in May also look highly unlikely at the moment.
I'll try to use SFs to keep up with the group level when possible. -
Eh. It's quite flavourful, so I say leave it be. I can build around it with a +run speed build anyway - I hardly ever use Teleport these days.
If you buff the s/l and e/n armours it'd be even easier to softcap with IOs, so I don't think that's a good option.
Stacking Rooted's penalty on Granite would be terrible, since you can generally run around in Granite without Rooted and only turn it on occasionally. I'd not like to see an assumption that they're both always on. I'd also hate an assumption that you even turn on Granite a lot as a Stoner....I'm not even using it on 75% of the iTrials I'm running. It's just not needed. -

Yes. This is a problem. I realised it was happening when the team split was 1 per AV and one on adds....and there was a pitiful amount of iXP dropping and I guess this also means other drops too from the kills like threads are being very badly split if you have a single team on clean-up duty. It's nonsense that rewards aren't split between everyone on the League.

I'm enjoying the BAF thus far. Haven't been on a Lambda yet.
The best way to get Uncommon/Rare for me has been...well, the loot table.
I think I've got 1 x Common, 2 x Uncommon, 1 x Rare, 1 x Very Rare from them. Created the Commons I needed from Threads (via Astral Merits mostly) and easily crafted up to a Rare Judgement power as soon as I'd got it unlocked from iXP. -
In for VooTrialTuesday until I drop needing sleep.

It's not been a good couple of weeks for the servers, really.

Great...just as I get free to play a little for tonight!

I'd be happy to run it with Isos some point. It's no worse than many other missions, it's just that it's pretty lame compared to the new blueside TF.
Plus since we can all get the temp passive that you lose at 50 it makes sense to get it sooner rather than later. -
Quote:That was a funny moment when we ran it....get in there and I think it's Pos who was "OMG! Ninja-Bot, the notorious and horrifically terrible villain".
- The SF's storyline does a decent job of portraying the player as a proactive villain.
To which I mentally added "....who saved Paragon City an hour ago from Praetorian invasion. Get over it Posi." -
I always keep a close eye when building and as I level on End Gain and Consumption and I can't say I've seen any issues.
However - if you have Numina or Miracle slotted, sometimes you will after zoning have a double effect from them. Is it possible you recorded those double values before you respecced and that's the loss you're seeing? -
You don't skip Granite, but you don't use it all the time.
And by not using Granite all the time there's just no way you're the worst set of tank armour made.
I consider someone in Granite all the time to be restricting themselves badly because of the -rchg and -damage.
Granite is an excellent armour and works very well as an emergency button vs things which have massive +tohit or hit very very hard. (A few of the AVs, but only a few have ever made me go into Granite.)
To the OP: I'm very happy with Stone/Fire personally.
edit: I posted my build here a few weeks ago - http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...6&postcount=25
