The code is already there and it is working, so I don't get your point at all.

No. Leave it to the new project they are working on instead.
I'm with the devs on this one: it isn't worth the resources. -
Quote:That's exactly why I wrote it the way I did:As someone who works at an online gaming provider, I can tell you that people hold their breaths every night when these scripts run. Edge cases and database deadlocks at just the wrong time can spawn cascading failures, even in scripts that run fine on a regular basis. The Job Failure alert causes a weary DBA to request the step/line number of the failure, and the diagnosis/cleanup begins...

Remember that splashes from Poison only debuff at half the amount. The recharge is short on the two main debuffs so you can spam it on nearby enemies, so that they get debuffed 1 1/2 times, because the splash and single target hit do stack.

Quote:It would be interesting to see the breakdown for cost people try to factor in with these kinds of arguments. Create a script that is proven to work, and there is no longer additional costs. One thing I thought of that's not considered by the "it's only data" people is to remember we're dealing with a software system created a decade or so ago. I imagine it originally had to do with the character's name being the database key for the character record. When you change keys, the database recalculation and replication is affected. Especially when you factor in cached data and server farms. Changing data is simple, but not always without implications or impact.

I had to ask, since the OP didn't ask to exclude them.

Curious, does this apply to nukes as well? I thought the general theory is that nukes actually do get the acc bonus listed, so you can slot recharge + damage mostly without having to bother with acc.
-
Is the high acc on this power correct? Is it one of those that state the acc of the summon itself or does the pet have a 2.00 acc? I assume the pet has the acc that high and we never need to slot acc, but just wanted to make sure.
...also, I assume the kd proc would work every time you activate this power since the base rech is 1 minute, right? -
Quote:...and blasters?Corruptors do more damage (and have scourge), and get more leverage out of Dehydrate's heal because it's based off the character's HP, and Corrs get higher base HP. (But it doesn't matter at their HP cap, because they both have the same HP cap.)
Defenders leverage the debuffs a little better, but it's debatable whether that overcomes the higher damage, scourge, and Dehydrate. -
Yeah I have to also disagree with VoodooGirl for once. We are probably talking somewhere around 64 bytes of data - that's bytes, not even kb. It's probably a combination of a money grab and anti-griefing. It's as simple as that.
I too think $5 would be more reasonable, or even less. -
That's lame - hope to see that patched later.
-
I want to know how to delete them - because I have a police drone power stuck on one of mine - I forget what trial that was from, where you have to revive drones.
-
Is Dehydrate worth slotting for heals? I am guessing damage makes more sense - and does it heal more if you are a defender? etc.

Didn't read the whole thread, but I'm pretty sure most of the changes to Water and other sets without a snipe will all be in for issue 24, or 24.5.
Matter of fact, I'd bet on it. -

EDIT: almost forgot this: -
Quote:You and I have had this discussion on Youtube already, so I don't feel we have to go on with the debate. It's all about personal preference.Well, I'll say my two cents.
Water Blasters combo/tidal mechanics our how do you say it. Getting really old of seeing the same thing in just about every new power set coming out. Dual Blades was the first, the you got Street Justice and then Titian Weapon and then Staff Fighting, if your going to come out with a new power set, then think, how many players are SICK of the combo stuff? I'm however getting kinda bored of seeing the same combo stuff over and over and over again. Think of something new please? The whole water blast stuff seems really lame to me but I peeked at videos on youtube and have to say...my favorite move is Geyser the T9 attack looks pretty sweet. But I honestly don't think I'm going to touch water blast for MONTHS I still haven't gotten a dual blade character pass lv 10 and I LOVE DUAL BLADES... But yeah I don't know how many other players are out their that think the same as me "Oh joy another combo power set yippy e-e..." The first and second power set was yay a new thing! third ok same deal but also threw in Momentum and then staff oh...-.- another fricking combo set woo im so thrilled...I disliked the fact of a water blast...couldn't have through of anything cooler? Apparently not, but disliked water blaster and dislike it more now after finding it's another combo set...honestly if I do make one -.- skipping damn near all the powers but Geyser and the build up...
ON THE OTHER NOTE
If COH EVER EVER makes a Scythe power set...and they make it a combo set...I'd play that set over and over and over again in till my heart is content. Not many games out there that has Scythe's but if your going to make a Scythe power set...make it look amazing and not cheesy.
Well my two cents '-' -
...which would put stone melee on the map also - tons of mitigation there.
-
I want to hear the good with the bad, he's welcome to stay in my thread.
-
I always wondered if you had to play a regen brute a little differently - because many brutes tank for teams and regen basically means you eat everything thrown your way - all debuffs and damage.
-
I may wait until Issue 24 to pick this up, or wait until Nature Affinity hits, because it would be a nice combo for defender/corruptor plus I'm sure I'd have more fun with the blaster changes in issue 24 if I go that route.
-
Yeah once you get him down enough, he loses his connections to the well, shrinks, and even cons gray to 53s - he's a joke at that point.
