Quote:To be fair, I agree, and I'm glad to be called on it. It was poor wording on my part at the end, and I will remove it. You can absolutely have both be good, and in the case of I16, the official trailer was MUCH improved from ones I didn't enjoy. And while not as all encompassing, I can appreciate that they were focusing on the most glamorous part of the issue. Some folks are trashing the official vids here.
Really, what's wrong with the movies NCSoft has produced? Especially the latest ones? You don't need to trash the official content just because you like Samuraiko's. Some of you seem to think one has to be awesome and the other sucks, rather than both being genuinely good.
To that end, they did well, and I hope they continue to put out official trailers of similar quality. -
Quote:Let me state right now that I am enthralled by Samuraiko's videos. I wish I could play the game she depicts in them. She makes this aging character actress of a game look like a new headliner star. Please allow me to set the record straight right now.
I have applied to Paragon Studios no less than three times in as many years. I have done my best to make contacts within the company and within the industry as a whole, done research online to learn more about the industry, and pushed my limits to keep improving my work. I have made it QUITE clear that I would crank out videos for COH (commercials, cutscenes, tutorials, how-tos, you name it) as the day is long, if given the opportunity. Up to and including bringing my own software, making all my own contacts in the music and voice talent industry, and even moving to Mountain View AT MY OWN EXPENSE.
And unfortunately, ever since Lighthouse left, I have lost my most vocal champion at PS. (As a group, the rednames may enjoy my work, but Alex was my biggest fan, bar none.)
In short, I have tried. Repeatedly. And I have failed. Repeatedly.
Thanks, Cat. *hugs*

But, as much as I hate to say this, it just occurred to me (because I'm slow) that maybe retirement from CoX vids wasn't the wrong approach. To adapt a cliché, why hire the artist when you can get the art for free?
It sucks for us that we'd stop getting her CoX vids, but c'est la vie. -
Quote:Of course, if it's like most of the other cool enemy models in the game, half the parts, and all the ones people would want, use attachment points and custom skeletons that the players don't have.This. My db/wp scrapper needs that torso. Needs it badly.
Devs, there needs to be another way to get this.
waitwaitwait....
That means it's just like the freakshow costume. A power toggle that completely replaces your model/costume.
Which I have zero desire for.
I want the torso, the shoulder pieces and the gloves.
Perhaps the pieces will be available with GR once it goes live since we saw the gloves in game during beta.
What's more: Those gloves only showed up on the Huge body selection. That costume power doesn't use the huge model.
So I've still got some hope. -
I have no idea why this woman doesn't have steady professional work doing this sort of thing for a living.
Fantastic, and appreciated, as always. -
Take the fight to a new arena. Hang on to the ability to challenge the status quo.
Good luck with the education. -
Quote:There's an entire story arc in PI dealing with the disappearance of Statesman. You know, the one where no one knows what's happened to him, and then we find out that alternate dimensional versions of our heroes are showing up, and he's held captive by his alternate dimensional counterpart?Ya know, even if Statesman the Character is our Superman, it wouldn't hurt us to have a "world without Superman" at least for an issue or two.
...
Now if Zeus in the flesh was gone, a sense of vulnerability would descend upon Paragon (the Isles have an Incarnate, we don't...) and perhaps we'd all feel a touch more significant... -
Huh. Wonder why they didn't just repassword the accounts and let it go at that. Banning seems kind of pointless, actually.
-
I hear you, Sam. I've been having the exact same issues, with a very similar internal response.
We need an overhaul to the newly overhauled boards. -
If your sig were true, Bright_Shadow, I would never STOP complaining about Architect Entertainment.

Farm, a place where foodstuffs are produced, either in the form of vegetation or livestock.
Not to be confused with a ranch, where only livestock are produced, and not necessarily for the purpose of becoming food, or an orchard, which produces no livestock, and generally specializes in fruits. -

Quote:Trust me. I would rather be judged by a 'merciless NCSoft employee' over a 'holier than thou' player every day of the week.1) Exploits are aganst the rules.
2) Copyright infringement is against the rules.
3) AE was not designed for farming. Positron was pretty clear on this. While the rules are blurry, the fact is it's viewed negatively. In short: Don't expect sympathy from any of us.
If you break the rules, you face the music. We, the community, have been charged with the task of being the eyes and ears of the Devs. They cannot monitor everything, so they rely on the whole of the playerbase to do that for them. If you have a problem with that, maybe you should request that they introduce paid Game Masters? Then you can really feel the hammer fall as you're judged by merciless NCSoft employees.
The merciless NCSoft employee would have to have a clear, understandable definition of what constitutes farming in order to avoid claims of bias and to prevent inconsistent application of the rules.
Other players generally just run around practicing cranial-fundament insertion and screaming to hear the echo, with zero consistent understanding of what constitutes a farm.
Seriously. Bring on these merciless NCSoft employees, because that would force the publishing and deliniation of what exactly a farm is, what a farm isn't, what punishments can be handed out, and exactly when each punishment applies.
No more of this "Well, we know it when we see it" garbage. -

I'd move Recluse to the Devil, Mako to Death, replace either Akarist or Foreshadow with Sirocco, move Synapse back to Fool and put a Rikti Mothership as the Chariot.

[ QUOTE ]
The point is that a hero who is incredibly tough and practically immortal, but also largely harmless, is not cool, not threatening and not interesting.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tell that to the people that keep making stories with Vandal Savage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Vandal Savage is anything but "harmless". -

Not yet, but that's on the agenda today.

Thank you in advance! I look forward to seeing the footage. -
That's because Khelds are chained to the 'ideal team' setup more than any other AT in the game. To reach anything like their full potential, they MUST have as much AT variety on their team as possible. They get nothing from being around other Khelds.
Replace their inherent, and I think Kheldian performance and popularity would improve in a dramatic fashion. -
Curious, ZI. Do you have any film of the new SS animations?
-
If GR is out before September or October of next year, I'll be surprised.

Looking at the history page, it really appears that the two sides of the war were fairly equally matched in terms fo Super Powered assets. The Allies appeared to have 'quality', while the Axis had 'quantity'.
Just a few, or even one, changes to that balance could have been enough to give one side or the other a decisive edge.
Looking at the description of D-Day, it seems that Statesman proved pivotal in repelling a Storm Korps counterattack at Normandy that might have stalled the invasion altogether. A counter attack so violent that it physically crippled him for the rest of the war. Now imagine if he'd been on the other side.
The Axis Storm Korps, plus their super soldiers, all led by Reichsman. That right there might have been enough.
Or the kidnapping of the King of Great Britain. That operation might have succeeded had Reichsman been there to assist.
Those are just two instances where Statesman being on the other side of the fight would have been enough to have had a major effect on the course of the war. -
STOP THE [CENSORED] PRESSES!!!!!
I found something to [censored] complain about.
There are no [censored] screenshots of [censored] custom color [censored] Energy Melee!
What kind of [CENSORED] would post up screens of lame [censored] powers, and not have [censored] screenshots of [censored] Energy Melee?!
I mean, [censored] really. Is it too [censored] [censored] [censored] much to [censored] ask that we get some [censored] screens of [censored]-up [censored] Energy Melee?
[censored].
This post has been brought to you by 'Self Mockery' and the great word [censored], which may actually be a phrase. I'm not sure how the [] modify it.
You may carry on with the "Good job, BABs and Team!" now. -
Even I don't have anything to complain about here.
That should say something.
