Not the post I was referring to and I have zero interest in an "oh yeah prove it" contest, so we'll just agree to disagree. Except my memory has been accurate so far, just sayin'.

The tiger pattern must be new, too, because a couple patches ago the current tiger pattern was renamed "Tiger 1" in the costume creator. I just happened to notice it because I was making yet another (7) alt(s).

It's not out for another two weeks, plenty of time for them to add bear heads. Send Noble Savage a politely-worded IM and plead your case. Ask him for horse/zebra heads and tails while you're at it.

I don't see how Positron saying "animal parts makes sense for the mutant pack" at Comic-Con and then on the forums made it the players' fault for expecting something like, you know, animal parts in the mutant pack.

Maybe that's true, but David's comment about Jay creating it in just a few days *after* all the complaints about the Mutant Pack and *after* people posting about Positron's comment and *after* I posted all those tail pictures seems coincidental. If he says that's what happened, I'll believe him. But you saying it? No way.

Ah. A couple years ago I exchanged a few emails with Aral and I can honestly admit that I had (and still have) zero idea how he accomplished those shots even though he patiently explained it to me. The guy even wrote a program from scratch to make it easier to do them.

The bird pic and canine pic on FB and the Vanguard Pack pic in various places are a bit more than hints, I'd say. Also, SDragon was referring to DumpleBerry's post, not mine, just to keep the thread straight.

I've seen the pics here, FB and a couple of the MMO sites.

Seems that the last few packs haven't been all that well-received (the party pack in particular went over with a thud), so I wouldn't be too surprised if they really want this one to be a mega-hit. And in game terms, more = better.

When they showed off the Mutant Pack, there was a resounding outcry of, "Meh." Because people had it in their heads from hints Positron had dropped that the Mutant Pack was going to be an Animal Pack. (That thread is probably still around to see.) Lots of people then talked about what they wanted in an animal pack and I posted numerous photos of animals who all had fluffy tails similar to wolves. I don't recall how many animal pictures I posted, but it was more than a dozen. And then suddenly Jay creates this fluffy wolf tail and it's stuck into the pack at the last minute. David even said Jay whipped it up in a few days. That one addition almost certainly boosted sales of that pack far beyond what they would've been, based on the number of people who said they were now going to drop $10 just to get the tail.

That's an example of a thing added to a pack at the last minute. I'll bet money that they're watching these threads closely and have added a few things based on feedback. There have been a lot of good ideas which would be relatively painless and easy to add without a great deal of extra work, such as a few different ear styles or beak styles. I also like the ideas people have had about fish and frog heads. I'd totally make a character based around those, and a frog wearing a hat? Are you kidding me?

So yes, they can absolutely make this pack far bigger -- GIGANTIC, even -- by holding off a couple more weeks and adding more coolness to it.
