I call dibs on a league comprised entirely of characters 4 feet tall: The Little League.

Not the post I was referring to and I have zero interest in an "oh yeah prove it" contest, so we'll just agree to disagree. Except my memory has been accurate so far, just sayin'.

Quote:I will give you a meow if you make a "Kzinti versus Aliens" MA arc for me.I'm particularly pleased about this new info. I have plans for a new MA arc that features a LOT of cats, including the larger variety, and this - assuming we can unlock it in the MA on that same release date - means I won't have to "make do" with some approximations.
Can I get a "meow brothers and sisters? CAN I GET A "MEOW"?! -
Quote:The tiger pattern must be new, too, because a couple patches ago the current tiger pattern was renamed "Tiger 1" in the costume creator. I just happened to notice it because I was making yet another (7) alt(s).There's also 60+ total costume pieces. It's possible there are heads and parts they aren't showing off yet. How many have we really seen in the video? About six heads (cheetah, lion, tiger, wolf, bird, minotaur), three pair of legs, and a cheetah costume pattern? And a tail I guess?

They still could, though.

That sounds really ambitious. I think it depends on your script. One of the main problems with dialogue is the static faces. You can get around it somewhat by using armor and full-face masks so it might work.
Are you interested in sharing the screenplay at all? Or the first 10 pages so we can get a feel for it? -
It's not out for another two weeks, plenty of time for them to add bear heads. Send Noble Savage a politely-worded IM and plead your case. Ask him for horse/zebra heads and tails while you're at it.

As of right now, the names "Robotiger", "Robowolf", "Robobird", "Robolion", "Wild Bull", "Longhorn Steer", "Longhorn Bull", "Bull Finch", "Bull Mastiff", "Sabertoothed Tiger" and "Mancow" are available on Virtue. I'm just saying.

Quote:I don't see how Positron saying "animal parts makes sense for the mutant pack" at Comic-Con and then on the forums made it the players' fault for expecting something like, you know, animal parts in the mutant pack. That people were pissed at the mutant pack was their own fault for, yet again, reading way more into public statemens than what was actually there.
Quote:Also the wolf tail wasn't whipped up specifically for the Mutant pack after the complaints. It was already finished for some future project (the current booster perhaps?) and was pulled from there and added to the mutant pack to appease the whiners. (And then there were still a number that complained that PS only did it to earn a quick buck on the backs of the poor, neglected anthro fans.) -

Quote:Ah. A couple years ago I exchanged a few emails with Aral and I can honestly admit that I had (and still have) zero idea how he accomplished those shots even though he patiently explained it to me. The guy even wrote a program from scratch to make it easier to do them.*grins* Thank you.
The title font is SonyannaScriptSSI Regular (a TrueType font).
As far as the circle tracking shots, that's courtesy of Zloth's Demo Editor. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the math so that I can do uber-spiffy swooping shots like Aralcox does, but no luck yet. *sigh*

The bird pic and canine pic on FB and the Vanguard Pack pic in various places are a bit more than hints, I'd say. Also, SDragon was referring to DumpleBerry's post, not mine, just to keep the thread straight.

Seems that the last few packs haven't been all that well-received (the party pack in particular went over with a thud), so I wouldn't be too surprised if they really want this one to be a mega-hit. And in game terms, more = better.

Quote:When they showed off the Mutant Pack, there was a resounding outcry of, "Meh." Because people had it in their heads from hints Positron had dropped that the Mutant Pack was going to be an Animal Pack. (That thread is probably still around to see.) Lots of people then talked about what they wanted in an animal pack and I posted numerous photos of animals who all had fluffy tails similar to wolves. I don't recall how many animal pictures I posted, but it was more than a dozen. And then suddenly Jay creates this fluffy wolf tail and it's stuck into the pack at the last minute. David even said Jay whipped it up in a few days. That one addition almost certainly boosted sales of that pack far beyond what they would've been, based on the number of people who said they were now going to drop $10 just to get the tail.I bet you a billion influence that it's entirely done, just being "finalized." No amount of waiting is going to make it magically "bigger."
That's an example of a thing added to a pack at the last minute. I'll bet money that they're watching these threads closely and have added a few things based on feedback. There have been a lot of good ideas which would be relatively painless and easy to add without a great deal of extra work, such as a few different ear styles or beak styles. I also like the ideas people have had about fish and frog heads. I'd totally make a character based around those, and a frog wearing a hat? Are you kidding me?
So yes, they can absolutely make this pack far bigger -- GIGANTIC, even -- by holding off a couple more weeks and adding more coolness to it. -

That was excellent. Well done, indeed. I particularly liked how you combined the "Assume the Position" emote with the "Wall Lean" emote to get them into an intimate position; very clever, that.
What font is that at the beginning? And how do you get those smooth tracking shots? I can't seem to manage that. -
I'd like to voice a contrary opinion to the childish chorus of "release it NAO!!!1! -- listen gang, the longer they work on it, the more awesome it will be and the more stuff will be in it. i say let them take another month so that we get five kinds of bird beaks and three kinds of canine snouts and four kinds of canine ears, and fish heads and bull heads and horse heads (with multiple colors including zebra!) and frog heads and rodent heads and and and... whew.
Patience is a virtue and the longer it takes the cooler it'll be. -
I haven't seen this but it doesn't look interesting. When the trailer is boring, you've go trouble.
I'm not a Miyazaki fanboi -- to the contrary, I've only liked a few of his films. My Neighbor Totoro is my favorite, followed by Porco Rosso and Kiki's Deliver Service and... that's it. I haven't even bothered with any of the newer ones because everything people are talking about here -- the disjointed storytelling, the lack of characterization, the over-reliance on specific cultural mores to impart meaning to the goings-on -- is something that have loomed larger and larger in the work of Studio Ghibli recently, leaving me disinterested.
