  1. Do I need to download Hero Stats as well as Titan Sentinel? I've already updated Mids, as well. Just wondering how to automatically get my character's info into the tracker.

Is this one of those Maori things where they wish you a nice day then eat your face off? I need to know if I should be scared!

  4. People who get more drops than I do are clearly farming exploits and should be banned.*

    * Hey, that's no more retarded a statement than asking a veteran if they're PLAYING THE GAME CORRECTLY. Jesus H. Sidecar, some people, I swear.
  5. I don't have an issue with doing TFs at all. Provided I have the time. (Which is also what Swell Guy said, if you'd actually read his post.) I do disconnect quite a lot because they stress my connection so I often miss half a mission -- usually the end of it with the drops because that's generally where the game locks up due to the increased demands. What I *do* have an issue with are raids -- which is what I said, if you'd bothered to read my post.

Random drops are annoying because they're well, random. I love the new alignment merit syste for that reason, it means you can still get your purples if you feel like it, and you're not reliant on drops.

I DO think Ahat an option of purchasing INcarnate Shards for A-merits would be nice (doesen't have to be much, a 1-1 ratio would suffice) simply to avoid the randomness issue.

I have no problem with random drops in ADDITION to progress-based rewards, but there should *always* be a progress-based path as well.

AS for difficulty... As you reach te end-game, expect it o get harder. This is almost univerally true.
You wrote how I feel. The RNG hates me. I rarely see purples. I rarely see good random rolls with merits. And now I rarely see shards.

I would love a steady even if incredibly slow way to earn shards when there is no time for a TF in the same way Ouroboros provides me access to rewards merits when I cannot run TFs.
    Thirded.

I've had one shard drop so far (although admittedly with not a *ton* of time playing my 50s, maybe 10-12 hours total) and 4-5 purples since they were added. I *never*, as in not a single time, got any of the costume drops when those were added. I didn't get one until after they increased the drop rate and by that time I'd missed out on all the yummy 100- and 200-million paydays for wings and such.

I've always hated massive raids in other games for that exact reason: a 1% drop of uberloot across all the dozens of players there is a waste of my time. A game should be fun and that's just not fun. If you're 14 and have nothing else going on in your life, then sure, grind away with all your high school sophomore energy. Me, I have a job to go to and a mortgage to pay, so I want something for my time. Otherwise I'm not giving you any more of my hard-earned money.

I ran 5 tips as well and two were in the new warehouse skins, two were in wrecked tech bases and one was in a special one-off design. The two new warehouses, however, came in different colors: one was brown and one was green. First time I've seen the brown one.

Building on this excellent I-wish-I'd-thought-of-it analogy, in order to make it a morally gray area, why not say that new bodies have some intrinsic energy which creates a soul and a reincarnated soul essentially feeds on that lifeforce. That rather makes it more of a concept for dispute because it moves it from "spaying your dog" to more of an "aborting a fetus" analogy.

Hello, fellow art folks. I disappeared for a while, but I'm back now. Did I miss all the fun stuff?
Not at all, there are two fun things left.
  14. So there are a limited number of bodies? Because if a soul can generate a body, that's a souled body. If a body can generate a soul, that's a souled body. I don't see the issue in that instance. On the other hand, if by "reincarnate" you mean a form of possession, then it's a moral gray area if they aren't displacing an existing "baby soul." For the story's sake, I'd have powerful souls displacing -- essentially killing -- baby souls.

Such a set-up would tend to create great evil, because a single powerful soul who was megalomaniacal would therefore kill people young so their souls didn't become equally powerful. You get a Hitler, Napoleon, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-Il, Idi Amin or etc., and you get massive death. All he has to do is promise a few loyal lieutenants they'll get to become very powerful, too, and they can then start influencing others. Pretty soon you have institutionalized genocide.

And the argument of, not adding weather just for the purpose of it being there just got thrown out the window in my humble opionion.
I quite agree. Atmosphere -- "feeling" -- is very important. So I think your post is perfectly on topic. I mean, why else does the sky turn red during zombie attacks or green during Rikti invasions? It lends to the theme and the overall feeling of what's going on. I think "The Coming Storm" -- whatever that actually entails -- might be enhanced with judiciously-used weather effects, particularly rain.

I would encourage the Devs, particularly War Witch, to check out that game referred to earlier and see how rain is implemented there, because it really does enhance the overall gaming experience with a slight visual effect combined with excellent sound effects.

The "strategy" is knowing how to micromanage your potion bar. These new missions do involve a little bit of extra thinking, but elite bosses and especially AVs are still not very engaging opponents when the strategy (for squishies in particular) is basically "eat a bunch of potions/inspirations, without having specifically selected you are going to die in a few hits." I'd much rather weaker inspirations and more reasonable bosses than this mess we've ended up with.
That's the thing with Honoree. I have four level 50 characters: 3 Blasters and a Brute. So far I've taken 2 Blasters and the Brute through these missions and the primary thing about Honoree is simple: if he hits me twice in a row, I'm dead. If I can keep that from happening, then he loses. So I pop 3 oranges and 2 purples and use my powers to their best effectiveness. So long as I can use a green after he hits me, I'm fine. And that right there is the sum total of the strategy for Honoree. By the time my Dual Blades/Willpower Scrapper gets to that mission, he's going to be able to just waltz in there and wail away until everyone is dead. In his mid 30s he's practically there already, as I'm using my 50s to finance his IO sets.

What I'd love to see is alternate ways to complete missions. Since its inception, the game has basically boiled down to: can you survive long enough to out-damage your opponent's regen? there have been some hints towards this mechanic in recently added missions, but it would be cool for my uber-healing Defender who can't hurt a fly to be able to avoid Honoree altogether by being able to overload the Rikti portals so the explosion brings the cave down on his head. It shouldn't be as easy as merely clicking a glowie, but it also shouldn't have to fall back on your DPS.

Trapdoor was easy as pie, popped three lucks and hovered out of melee range, as he made images i shot em, didn't have to move much thanks to boost range. And just killed him, he didn't move out of ignite, which helped loads

On the rikti mission, i sniped captain first, and stayed in air outside melee range, hit me with curse the first time so i lost end, dropped and died. second time i used some lucks and enrages and it went better.

Honoree was tougher, but he didn't like ignite for some reason, so i dropped it ontop of myself and when he got close he ran away from me, which gave me ample time to shoot him in the back. Only had 2 lucks up at once, and healed with aid self when needed.

Minotaur in last mission was easiest, i just kited him around, then he gave up and fled and i shot him in the back.
See, this is where the cries of "use tactics!" bug me: you aren't doing anything special, just using your powers in obvious ways based on game mechanics. On my Fire/Energy Blaster, I used Rain of Fire to herd the EBs where I wanted them, then burned them to the ground. Honoree killed me a couple times, but the first time was because my timing with RoF was off.

In years past I have played with people who didn't know what they were doing, such as Tanks who didn't turn on their toggles, but those instances are few and far between, so I assume most players at this stage in the game are at least using Inspirations and making decent use of their powers. Maybe they aren't perfect in their gameplay but there are really limited ways you can employ the tools you have at hand and calling them "tactics" diminishes the word.

Yes, this is my opinion. Sorry if it upsets you! Lol
You don't consider the Faultline revamp or Doppelganger missions to be significant? Faultline was pretty major, with all sorts of new missions and new stories.
  23. What tactics did you use? Trip mines, snipe, run around the corner to break LoS, pop inspirations for protection, click Build Up then fire full throttle as the EB rounds the corner?
