No, it was probably NOT an oversight. Kindly note that none of the Leadership toggles affect league-mates. It would be overpowered.

That's basically farming marketears, no?
Quote:If the devs really wanted to "fix" this, they'd just need to remove the no AFK timeout while on TF/Flashback mechanism. -
Yeah..... I'm so glad I checked those out.....

Quote:Given us the word 'vomitorium'.All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
(And no, it does not mean what most people think it means.) -
Quote:From the article you linked:Yeah, I am sure Persia thought the Macedonians looked really stupid with their two handed weapons and shields.
Quote:The sheer bulk and size of the spear required the soldiers to wield the spear with both hands, allowing them to carry only a 24 inch shield (pelta) suspended from the neck to cover the left shoulder. -
Quote:Kindly refer to the thread about the Staff Fighting set where it was revealed that ParagonWiki staff use time-travel to get information in advance.Yeah, ya see that only tells you when the previous events started and ended. I'm talking about piercing the veil by divination. Rolling the bones in animal entrails and other reliable scientific methods.

Quote:Yeah, it happens. People deliberately post incorrect information for their own agenda. This is also very common with political figures. It will eventually get corrected. Also, on an entry where this happens a lot, the wiki staff will typically 'lock' the article so random clowns can't edit it.This radio personality had the number one talk show geared towad men ages 18-35 in Los Angeles which is rumored to be the lucrative market in the Unite States. Anyways, because of his position, he knows alot of celebrities and claimed his own wikipedia page and the pages of other celebrities are full of inaccuracies and misinformation.

Quote:It starts at the default and, if you never actively change it, it stays that way.Is there a way to 'default' your title? Like it would be if you didn't have the color title option?
Or do you mean that you want to change how other peoples titles appear to you? -
I haven't done that particular Safeguard lately but I have seen it on other maps. Best thing to do is file a bug report while you're standing in the glitchy spot, since the report attaches info about what map you are on and your coordinates.

Yeah, you don't want two of the same type of program running. You want ONE anti-virus, ONE anti-malware, ONE firewall, etc. Having multiple programs intalled and using them for scans is fine. I like both SpyBot and Malwarebytes. Just don't have both running in the background simultaneously.

I've been trying to create a targeting command that will only target live enemies. I've tried it as a macro; I've tried it as a keybind. I put the 'alive' conditional before the target string and I put it after the target string. I tried with quotes and without quotes (the target string is one word). No matter what I do, it will target a DEAD enemy as easily as a LIVING one.
According to ParagonWiki, the format is:
targetcustomnext alive "name of target"
Can anyone get this to work correctly? If so, what is the syntax? -

Quote:Isn't it obvious? They are prioritizing releasing new material. There seems to be a consensus building that the priorities need to be adjusted slightly. The level of bugginess SEEMS to be increasing. So does customer dissatisfaction.Out of curiosity, what is your explanation for why Paragon has not implemented this painfully simple and obvious strategy? If it is so simple, surely they would have considered it themselves. If they rejected it, what could the possible reasons have been?
Right.... I'm entitled because I actually want to help test stuff but broken software tools are impeding that. Clearly a sign of epic entitlement when someone wants to go out of their way to be helpful. Typical forum response, though. When you don't have a good response, make a stupid and fatuous post. (shrug) -
Quote:Actually, I do have enough knowledge and experience to suggest a solution. It's quite simple. Shift some resources from new features to fixing old ones that are broken. As far as I can tell, there are bugs and glitches across all departments - costumes, maps, missions, reward systems, etc, etc. There's something for everyone to fix.In other words, any opinion offered is only as insightful and valuable as the direct knowledge, skills, and experience that back it up. Saying "I see crap!" is not nearly as useful as knowing how to clean it up. Personally, I think we need far less of the former, and far more of the latter.

I dunno. But regarding the WST, hold off on that as long as possible. It gives X bars of bonus XP and a bar of XP at level 45 represents a lot more time and effort that a bar of XP at level 10.
-
Yes, in fact Zwillinger specifically mentioned this. HOWEVER you obtain a costume part (Astral Merits, limited time offer, Tier 9 VIP, etc) they will never take it away. In fact, there is no system in the game by which they would even be able to do so.

Quote:You forgot to mention that this whole episode is a LITERAL SLAP IN THE FACE!personally, I wont' stand for this injustice any longer. It's time the devs answer to the PLAYERS, not their own SELF SERVING AGENDA. How can they continually be so STUPID and ARROGANT! This game used to be GOOD, but they have DESTROYED IT.
Quote:I have been an applications programmer (primarily in the corporate financial sector) with companies (who shall remain unnamed, but would be definitely recognized) for ~34 years now (longer, I'd wager than many of our posters have been alive).
I, on the other hand, got my first computer about 35 years ago.... According to Wikipedia, the TRS-80 Model 1 came out in 1977, so 34 years. So while I wasn't employed back then, you're not the only long-term programmer.
Quote:It is rather, the kinds of bugs we're seeing lately.
The kinds of bugs lately, have been very simple, very obvious, and extremely
simple to detect had their been ANY testing at all.
Oh, don't even go there. I recall an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show with Eric Braeden guest-starring. He was playing a media critic and delivered the line, "One need not be a chicken to judge an egg." I don't have to be personally able to do a better job in order to have a valid opinion regarding the quality of a product. -
Quote:Seriously? Are you joking? If I needed a character to test high level content, I used to be able to get one with about 4 mouse clicks.Uhhh...
Did you miss the LEVEL BUMP thread? Y'know, the one where you can make a new toon and request to get level bumped to whatever level you want?
Now I have to:
create a toon
request a level bump
re-pick powers and slots up to 50
buy and craft IO's
I don't think so. I'm not going to spend an hour on menial tasks for the honor of doing free testing for the devs. Previously, I had a stable of toons available for testing things, as well as a supergroup and base. Then they wiped the test server and the character copy tool was either broken previously or at the same time. I've been trying the copy tool every 1-2 days to see if it's fixed yet.
I WANT to test stuff. I WANT to help out. But right now, there are simply too many obstacles. I'm not willing to jump through that many hoops. They need to fix the character copy tool. I see a lot of people complaining that there wasn't enough testing on recent issues. I don't know if that's true. It might be. I sure as hell didn't do any testing. And I'm not going to be doing any testing until the devs get around to making it easier for us to help them out. -
Not wanting to rain on your parade, but your own experimental evidence suggests otherwise. CoH is way WAY more demanding on the video card than most other MMO's. If everything looks fine at the lowest graphics setting, but not anything higher, that definitely suggests your video card simply can't handle higher settings.
