Firstly, most EULA's aren't even enforceable against INDIVIDUALS. It goes without saying that it has ZERO bearing on anything the government might decide.

Quote:Ok, so I know this is my first post. And I know this will likely get flamed to all get out, but here it is anyway. Before ranting about having bajillions of influence or ruining your uber marketeering skillz.. Please take into consideration that for this game to thrive and continue to grow it needs to be newbie friendly.Wow, another one of these threads in the same day.Quote:
So imagine for a second what it would be like to be a new player looking at the market and seeing 100's of millions of influence for one thing and then their bankroll barely breaking a million.
Okay...
"needs to be newbie friendly"
"seeing 100's of millions of influence for one thing"
Let's review the concept of "luxury items". In real life, when you get your first job, you shouldn't be shopping for a Ferrari. -

Quote:Based on past experience of multiple zones that had badges added: yes.Now my question is, how will this affect SG teleporters? will we need to collect all the new badges as well for TP's now? It already takes long enough to collect nevermind doubling it.
Any SG that already has the beacon won't lose it, but any SG that does not yet have it will have to get all the badges. That's my prediction based on RWZ and Faultline. -
Quote:Well, I'm positive it has not been changed. I've hunted BP on a number of toons (for the accolade) and it has always been that way as far as I can remember. I hunted them for my one badge toon..... well over 3 years ago.Okay, I'm very very positive that BP minions used to spawn during the day and the Bosses would spawn only at night, this either has been changed during a recent patch/issue, I just don't know when.
I have been playing for a very long time and have hunted many BP along the Argo Highway.
Of course, once they have spawned at night, if there is anyone in the area they'll stick around right into daylight -
I would think so. I mean, there are all catgirl SG's and they can't possibly think that the people they are inviting are really catgirls.

I have all the passives. The 3 resistance ones get two slots with common IO's, while Tough Hide has 4 slots for a defense set.
Back in the days of SO's, I had 3 slots on the resistance passives. Now, two high-level common IO's get you close enough that a third slot is really wasted (unless you're after specific set bonuses). -
Quote:But that's exactly the part that I was disagreeing with in my post. My dark/dark scrapper felt so squishy (compared to other scrappers) that I stopped playing him and remade him as a tank (which I feel compares well with my other tanks).I'm not arguing that they're exactly the same mechanically. The Tanker does have higher resist values and heals more total HP for the same click of DR, as you say.
I'm arguing that it doesn't feel very different, subjectively.
I did the scrapper first and disliked it so much I had to remake him as a tank. -
Quote:My invuln.Just a thought, but for all the low level TFs if you're exemping down on a large team, a fully slotted dwarf form PB will out tank almost any real tank. How many real tanks are at 85% resists on sister psyche for example.

He was built for toughness right from the start so he took the Fighting pool before the Fitness pool. He didn't get Stamina until around level 30. -

Quote:eh. I made a dark/dark scrapper and expected him to get 'better' once he had SO's. I wasn't impressed. I remade him as a dark/dark tanker and found him much tougher. In short, I think players don't hate Dark; they just get almost as much benefit from Dark as a Scrapper secondary and get the offensive perks of Scrapping to boot. So I think they are making Dark characters...just not necessarily as Tankers.
Maybe I'm spoiled, though. My main scrapper is /regen and /dark just wasn't cutting it. -

Quote:Actually, I think the reason is more likely that, since you were satisfied with the market, when there were complaints, you simply didn't 'hear' them. (i.e. They didn't register since you dismissed them out of hand - you don't remember them X months later.)why would the developers intentionally steer away from a WoW style AH? for all the years ive been playing WoW, not once have i ever heard a complaint. prolly b/c of that dirty BUY-OUT option.
Quite simply, to suggest that literally no one in WoW complained about their market is beyond imagining. They just weren't complaining around you, or you didn't notice the complaints when they occurred. -

There would be at least one more person to join up on occasion if it wasn't so high stress and likely to lead to being kicked and made the subject of public ridicule... Sure, maybe the name wasn't used here but since it was public in game for a while I would guess one could find out if they cared... *shrug* Seriously, why do you care what a bunch of strangers on the internet think?Quote:Just understand that some of those turning down offers to join a team are doing so at least in part because they don't want to be the subject of your next post.
If you're really turning down team invites because you're worried someone might end up talking about you.... I dunno..... work on your self-esteem, I guess. -
Quote:Which drives me nuts, since I have to remember the time difference between my office and our parent company (in the UK).Gah don't confuse me like that.
Here in the land of Blighty our clocks don't go forward at ALL yet.
March 28th is when British Summer Time kicks in and our clocks go forward.

Quote:and why omfg, why would they NOT try and emulate WoWs AH? its WORKS! ppl dont complain! they is no way to exploit it! that makes it good right?THE SOLUTION! Change everything here so it's identical to WoW! Then this game can have 10 million subscribers! woo hoo!Quote:
oh noes! yea im gonna compare this to WoW, b/c WoW is the standard. everything works and aside from some lag issues.
Imagine that! Another idea that would be stupid to implement in this game!Quote:until Cataclysm gives me 5 more lvls (yea imagine that! a constanting rising lvl cap!) -
Sign me up for team one.... with something.

Quote:Well, you found 3 tanks on an AE farm team that may or may not have been incompetent. (It's hard to tell since you gave us really limited information.) If they actually were incompetent, my first theory would be that they were 'AE babies' and don't know how to play the game in general and definitely not a tank.Last night on my blaster I was teamed with 3 tankers. 2 had no taunt. The other had a 4 billion build (I saw the bonuses). They engaged 1 Samurai spawn, maybe 15 Samurai. I waited 10 seconds, lined up my cones, and started cleaning the critters off. I was pretty surprised when 3 peeled off and decided I was their biggest threat level.

Quote:What the development staff needs to know is if you are
- A: Running a Multi-Monitor System
- B: Planning on purchasing or setting up a Multi-Monitor System before Going Rogue launches
- c: Planning on purchasing or setting up a Multi-Monitor System after Going Rogue launches
I guess you didn't make it clear enough. Probably since you repeatedly said MULTI monitor when it seems you should have said TRIPLE. In light of this new information, I would NOT be interested and have no intention of running such a setup.Quote:Yeah... I don't think I made this clear enough.
AMD Eyefinity, Nvidia 3D Vision Surround, and Matrox triple head are for 3 MONITOR SYSTEMS... not two monitor systems. This thread is about support for 3 or more monitors in an Eyefinity triple screen or Hex screen configuration.
