The problem is that all MMO's are not alike. Raising the level cap is an absolutely rotten, stinking, horrible idea for this game. Ask again in five years and you'll get pretty much the same answer.

Quote:I think you must have done something wrong, misclicked something, etc. FYI, when people are hidden, they do NOT show up for a /whoall command. There are degrees of hide, but I would think most people use hide the same way I do - I just type /hideall to make it fast and simple. If you use /hideall, you will not show up on /whoall.All the talk about hidden vs unhidden got my curiosity.
So late last night on virtue I did my own not representive not enough real data test of player population. So did a search in Talos Island and found 4 people in zone but /whoall showed 30!
Again, means nothing but it was an eye opener. -

Quote:It sounds like you don't understand the effects of price caps. Frankly, the overwhelming majority of people don't. If an item is routinely selling for 300 million and a price cap of 100 million is instituted, many of the previous sellers will take their sales off-market so that they can still get 300 million for it. Even without price caps, plenty of sales happen off-market just to avoid the 10% fee. You don't think people would work around the market if it meant they could get triple the cash?2. Price Caps - While most people are against this, I don't like wasting my playing time at the market. I also don't like farming quick AE maps for tickets, and SFs for merits. If everything was available for say no more then 100M i'd be happy as a pig in ****. Then I'd know exactly how long it would take me to outfit a toon, and I wouldn't be a slave to market trends or supply. It wouldn't be an overnight equip, but it wouldn't take forever either.

Have you noticed that the *STORES* in the game don't make you guess prices? Since the CONSIGNMENT HOUSE is very different from a STORE, your comparison is pointless.

And I would rather have a pony. Are you saying this because you're an expert on such systems, or just because you personally happen to be inconvenienced at the moment?

um, no offense intended, but don't hold your breath. I don't expect the devs to waste their time on something so trivial. This is something very minor and of concern to only a tiny portion of the players. Even a lot of players who are detail-oriented (like me), and who have a character with EVERY souvenir and EVERY temp power, simply don't care what the inactive contact list looks like.
As for this part, I am in complete agreement. -
Quote:I'm using a Samsung XL2370. My Samsung 226BW died while under warranty. Since I would die if I was without a computer, I bought a new monitor while the first one was being repaired. While I got you here to could anyone suggest a reasonably priced HD monitor? between 17-22" if those are even sizes >.>
The XL2370 is 23", 16x9 widescreen, full HD (1920x1080). It has LED backlight, 2ms response. It draws 28 watts (vs 55 for my old monitor) and weighs under 8 lbs. It's less than half the thickness of my old monitor and it's beautiful (acrylic frame and base). Also, compared to my old monitor, the view angle is shockingly wide. If you can see the face of the monitor, you can see the image clearly.
I got mine at Best Buy. The model was brand new at the time and not widely available. It's $310 at Best Buy at the moment.
P.S. My old monitor was fixed under warranty at no charge. They even paid the freight both ways. At my office, everyone has a Samsung 19" widescreen. -
Quote:I've never heard of a 6GB stick. Also, your CPU can use triple channel RAM so I would expect 3 identical sticks of 4GB each.Ram: Corsair dominator 12Gb DDR3 ( I'm pretty sure it's 2 sticks of 6GB but it might be 3 sticks of 4GB)
Overall, that systems looks really good. -
Well, we have enough people and enough in the level range.
If Gillian brings her defender, I'll probably bring a tank, and vice versa. -

Way to put words in peoples mouths and then judge them and criticize them for the words you put there.

Quote:um, lots of disagreement so far.... Let's try a tangent: In actual practice, you don't care! What is it that increases the rate at which you regenerate HP? Normal +regen increases "regeneration rate" in that you recover more HP for each tic. However, how do you actually increase the interval of each tics?
I know that Instant Healing increases hp per tic as well as the rate of the tics itself. Does +regen in general just increases hp per tic AND tic interval?
Base regen takes you from 1 HP to full in 240 seconds (4 minutes). If you have +100% regen, you get to full in 120 seconds. What difference does it make if it's increasing the size or frequency of the ticks??? 120 seconds is 120 seconds. -
Quote:(shrug)Like I've already said it's more a matter of taking and slotting a power you normally would hope you don't have to use. In a tight build that pick and slot(s) could go towards something that's frequently used, in a lot of cases to better effect.
I disagree. A self-rez is simply one more power that can keep teammates alive.
I take the self-rez in any tank set that has one. On other AT's, I don't see a need for it. -
Twelve posts and about half are the same question.
Most epic cross-posting ratio ever? -

Sounded more like a collection of rants, rather than a question.

Quote:hmm.... My preference for someone with that nickname would be Harry 'Snapper' Organs. This is a group that, for the first nine years of its existence, had a mascot named Snapper. It's sort of a grand, goofy comic book tradition.

Quote:<shrug> That stuff happens when stuff written thousands of years ago gets translated and such. Wikipedia refers to him as "Cronus or Kronos"*my own record scratch sound effect*
Kronos/Cronos/Chronus/Aeon (Χρόνος) is the personification of Time. Kronus/Cronus (Κρόνος) is the Titan and father of Zeus, with the baby eating and whatnot.
You may continue.
You may continue.

Plus the proc damage. When you exemp so low that your enhancements are trash, having a 1/3 chance for additional moderate damage is pretty significant.

Quote:Or you can reference two numbers and calculate from there:If you really need to know the exact recharge values, you only have three options: The stopwatch method (which is unreliable at best), copying your build into Mids' or another build planner, or manually adding up all your sources of +Recharge and calculating the adjusted Recharge value.
1) Set the power monitor to display global recharge and note the number.
2) Get the recharge figure from the enhancement screen for the power in question.
The first number counts all global recharge sources. The second number counts only the recharge enhancements slotted in the power.
[Final Recharge] = [Base Recharge] / (1 + ( ( [Global %] + [Power %] ) / 100) )
If that's hard to read:
1) Add the global and power recharge percentages.
2) Divide by 100.
3) Add 1.
4) Divide the base recharge (listed in the power info) by the number you just came up with. -
