Contacts - Inconsistencies.

Why is it that there seems to be an inconsistency in the way that Contacts operate within the game. Let me explain what I mean by way of example. It makes no sense that new contacts that are suddenly introduced through a new issue are limited by level. For instance, Special Agent Keith Nance (Talos) is limited to level 29 (from memory). That means a character who is level 50 cannot access him. If they talk to him, he is instantly put over into the inactive category. (Too bad for those players like me, who want all of their contacts at confidant level!) If you outlevel a contact, you should not be allowed to access him in any way at all - this would stop the contact from being classified as inactive.

Furthermore, if you go to Ouroborous and attempt to change the contact status by doing his/her arc retrospectively, you still do not change the contact status. Why is this so? According to the mission arc indicator you have completed the story, and you gain any badges that are attached to it - yet the contact's status remains the same. Surely, if you have travelled back in time you have altered your own personal history, and you should, in the name of consitency, have altered your relationship with the relevant contact - you have altered your own timeline, afterall. To not do this simply does not make sense.

I encountered this problem when I was playing my main toon Crackajack. I inadvertantly, (without realising the consequences) clicked on Keith Nance - before I knew it, he was in my inactive column - and I was so disappointed because all of Crackajack's contacts - all of them, at level 48 mind you! - are at confidant level. Game support won't remove him from the list - I'm hoping that by posting this here, that a Game Dev. will remove him.

Can you appreciate the problem? There are some of us who, for the sake of personal satisfaction and completeness, take these game elements seriously. If new contacts have a level cap, interaction with them should not effect the player character's contact list. Moreover, completion of said contact's missions in Ouroborous should alter the contact's status in the main game or 'real world' since personal character time and associated events have been altered - that's logical and consistent with time travel.

Anyway, thanks for listening, Everyone.
Could a Dev. please respond to this?

Many thanks,

Wonderful Man.

um, no offense intended, but don't hold your breath. I don't expect the devs to waste their time on something so trivial. This is something very minor and of concern to only a tiny portion of the players. Even a lot of players who are detail-oriented (like me), and who have a character with EVERY souvenir and EVERY temp power, simply don't care what the inactive contact list looks like.

As for this part, I am in complete agreement.

Devs rarely come here.

Not really a bug or technical problem but a semantic one in your eyes.
