  1. I have an idea for Mission Architect. How about allowing a mission to occur in a SG base?

    * Story creator have to be a member of a supergroup
    * Objectives can be placed in room types, for instance if you choose "hospital", the biggest room of the hospital class is used.
    * Objectives can also be SG items (glowies or destructibles)
    * A valid supergroup base means that the base fits the mission objectives, ie have a hospital room if there's an objective involving a hospital.
    * SG Order of succession rules apply if team leader isn't part of a valid supergroup : Team Leader - Player 2 - Player 3 - etc - Story creator
    * SG leader can disallow members to use the base in MA arcs.
    * If the story creator leave her supergroup, downgrade it so it becomes invalid, or join an invalid supergroup, the story arc is temporarily disabled.
    * Players who enjoy the design of the base can send a join request to the SG leader during the base mission and at the end of the arc
  2. Lady Gaga is actually a man. Thanks to the Science Booster Pack, you can switch between Lady Gaga and Man Gaga on the fly. Origin should be science or magic. For powers, I agree that sonic and flight is her cup of tea.

    Can anyone confirm if it's really illegal or against the EULA to make a screenshot like that? I've played around with demo editing, and found out that I can achieve a similar look by copying and pasting parameters to the PARTNAME command from one character to another. Isn't it equal to for example replacing your character with a car, or replacing your pets with your other toons to get a team pic? If this is prohibited, is there any other types of demo editing which is illegal to use for screenshots or machinimas? I love to experiment with demo editing, but I don't want to break the rules.

  5. Is it possible to copy the style and colors (including lightning) from one room and applying it on just one another room, ie not the entire base?

  7. I agree with Lycanus that it's good as alternate animations for martial arts or superstrength.
    I remember earlier discussions about street fighting powersets, with powers like "Gut punch" that cause the enemy to vomit. However, I think it's more convenient to make a new melee IO set with a "chance for vomit" proc rather than making an entire new powerset.

  9. I've seen it possible in the game Rose Online, where you could reverse engineer crafted items. It was a skill, and leveling it up increased the probability rate for recovering each original part (salvage). I remember that I usually ended up with half the number of items (salvage) when I uncrafted an item I've crafted.

    I think it's a good idea, and that the probability rate would increase if you master a day job, preferable in abandoned labs.

    I'm fine with macros, it's just that abbreviated text usually don't look as good as the real power icon.
    How about allowing us to copy the icon of a power to a macro.

I looked around on the exit mundi site and I see that a majority of the most probable apocalypse scenarios wouldn't fit well in the game, because it's not possible to "fight" them, as they are either caused by entities larger than a hamidon or smaller than a clockwork. Zombies and alien invasion already exists in the game for very good reasons, they are of fightable size and can be fought regardless of powers. Genetically altered killer crops/animals is perhaps a good idea.

    Well, if we cannot fight the direct cause of doom, supernovae and asteroids impacts are good. A depleted ozone layer from a supernova might mess up the biosphere and cause massive social chaos. Heroes might help restore social order, and villains might exploit the situation to create havoc.

    It would definitely help to slow or even stop the spread, especially in combination with quarantine measures and early discovery and surveillance. For the sake of realism, an event of this scenario should have NPC officials advising people to wash their hands in addition to other precautions.

    But I wouldn't rule out the possibility for a large or even global outbreak. Some viruses that spread by the fecal-oral route are so infectious that less than a nanogram of vomit or feces (I hence use "poison" as a collaborate term for those substances) is enough to cause infection. Anyone who where unlucky to get sick in the winter vomiting disease in a public place know that it isn't trivial to secure the random massive violent poison outbursts.

    Imagine a disease that cause severe to fatal illness, is very difficult to treat as most neurological conditions. And what if the brain disease component is a long-term and life-threatening, like anorexia nervosa or dementia. Other brain diseases like borderline personality disorder can seriously disrupt the society, even if something like five to ten percent get it.

    I agree with you that the new H1N1/A flu is over-hyped and I'm not scared about it at all. But a gastroneurologic virus that has anorexia nervosa and borderline personality disorder as the neurological component is something completely different.

    A global spread of communism, national socialism or a similar totalitarian ideology that suppress individualism, deny the free will, enact command economy, brain-wash the masses, put dissidents and those they failed to brain-wash in concentration camps, define random minorities as a cancer of the society and therefor exterminate them etc.

    Global causalities as a result of the new totalitarianism might be 10 to 30 percent of the global population. Those who survive have had to give up their free will. No free will = no humanity.

    A gastroneurologic virus, ie a virus that slides well with any nerve cell. Infection of nerve tissue in large intestine cause severe gastroeneritis, thus making the virus spread by the fecal-oral route. Infection of nerve tissue in the brain cause neurological symptoms, long-term disabilities, insanity and death.

    Hypernova:
    A star with a mass of more than 15 suns burns out, collapsing into a black hole and explode in a MASSIVE explosion that are orders of magnitude more powerful than a Type-2 supernova. Despite a distance of thousands of lightyears, the afterglow is bright as the sun and the earth is sterilized by gamma rays.

  15. Not a bad idea. But I agree with Xemulas that it's unlikely that people wanted to keep the full game client running just to walk around. How about a flash/svg interface with very simplified graphics so people can log on in pedestrian mode from their web browser.

    I'd use it to have pedestrians making comments and rumors about my adventure and character stories in the game.

    A serious downside is however the risk of spam. A simple solution is to limit it to real accounts, although it's the opposite of the original suggestion.

    /signed for the liquid stuff. I usually dedicate one costume slot for death rp when defeated, using the blend pattern on feet and hands to simulate lividity of extremities. With a liquid aura, I'd use a red color to simulate open wounds.

    Yes, but I wouldn't use the combination of extreme mass and zero body fat as in the picture you provided.

    If this happens, I would happily pay way more than the usual $10.

    POWERS:
    Air strike: High lethal + fire damage, Targeted AoE, very long recharge.

    Summon F16: An F16 lands, you step in and use as a travel power. Very long recharge.
  19. Well, I doubt that people with less than AT&T natural voices would find it very useful. But since the CSS standard already supports stuff like stress level, pitch, gender, voice family, speed etc, it wont be harder for binders, story designers and developers to markup text for voice than it is for color.
    A combination of AT&T hifi voices with the possibilities of CSS would be very nice.
  20. I would like to use my OS tts engine to read dialogs in game. If I have several installed voices, it would be nice if it can chose a proper voice, ie use a female voice for Ghost Widow.
    User should be able to configure if it affects just cut scenes, npc dialogs in MA, all npc dialogs or even team speak.

  22. It happens to me a lot.
    Fix it by open the mission arc file in a plain text editor, and sort the objectives in the trigger order. I don't think exact trigger order is necessary, perhaps any objective resorting solves the false positive.
    I discovered the solution when I just needed to sort the objectives to make editing more convenient.

It only occured with those sleeves, and the forearm (covered by gloves in your pictures) didn't have it so it clashed a bit and made those sleeves not fit very well if you had bare hands or smaller gloves. Personally I'm glad they fixed it.

    Well, I'm aware that it might be a texture reference "bug", and that it force me to use full length gloves and a certain type of sleeves. But female muscle is an important option in many character designs, and a limited function like this one is imho better than none at all.
  24. I've also got an unseen costume option a few months ago: female muscle. Unfortunately, I was just able to apply it to two toons, and one of them lost the option next time I let her visit the tailor.
