Reverse engineer IO's

Reverse engineer may not be quite the correct term but what I am trying to get at is, after crafting dozens of IO's towards the invention badges it would be nice to have the option to uncraft/melt/unmake them again into a random selection of component parts.

You would get a random portion/percentage of the salvage back.
You would get a chance of a recipe back.
You would lose your invention fee.

This would help with a number of things, stop the market being flooded with them and stabilise the prices.
Help to unclutter those 4 benches full in the SG base.
And another...ooooohhh I wonder what I might get... moment, which I always like.

the prices on these has been fairly consistant from what i have seen.

maybe it's time to tell the sg that they are there for everyone to use.

I've seen it possible in the game Rose Online, where you could reverse engineer crafted items. It was a skill, and leveling it up increased the probability rate for recovering each original part (salvage). I remember that I usually ended up with half the number of items (salvage) when I uncrafted an item I've crafted.

I think it's a good idea, and that the probability rate would increase if you master a day job, preferable in abandoned labs.

I'd drop the "chance of recipe back." The recipe itself isn't "part" of the invention - and what about memorized? (Obviously you can't memorize sets, but still.) The invention fee, yeah, would be gone - heck, i'd say there should be a fee to reverse engineer it, frankly.

Though for the "benches are cluttered," I've got to agree... time to either remind people to use them, or make some of that INF back dropping them on the market.

I also make it a habit to stock them in my Enhancement Tray prior to a /Respec. You can at least recover some of your costs for those nigh worthless level 10 Slows you made to get your Field Crafter accolade, and it can provide some cash if you need it (admittedly not much cash, though.) Waste not, want not, my gramma used to say...

I'ld be all for the ability to uncraft an IO for some salvage.
