  1. "Agreed" he said handing each a communicator, "I will be in touch shortly"
  2. Monday 19th - 10:00 - Founders Falls

The Rikti stood, waiting. A drone patrolled the area, whilst the Headman organized and commanded the foot-soldiers. They were relaxed, they hadn't encountered a hero in several days, and their last mission was a success.

Three-hundred meters away on a rooftop, the rifle was held steady. The owner was slowing their breath for the shot. The scope zeroed in on the head of the lead Rikti, and trajectories planned to take down the rest of the squad in one volley. Five shots, four kills and one destroyed drone. Drawing in a half breath, the marksman took the first shot, and then with tiny adjustments fired off the next four.

As the first bullet span through the air towards its target at approximately five hundred meters per second, the headman continued his instructions. As the bullet neared its target, a mere twenty-five meters a way, it was suddenly deflected with an ear shattering ping. Mere milliseconds later the next four bullets experienced the same phenomenon.

The Rikti span, looking for the source of the noise. As they did the drone exploded, and then each soldier jerked backwards and slumped to the floor; their heads penetrated from front to back.

On the rooftop, the marksman pulled back from the rifle sight, unable to believe what just happened. Someone had shot the bullets out of the air, then taken the killing shots themselves. The marksman was shaken out of mild shock by the blast of air and impact on the roof nearby. Spinning around, the marksman stood speechless as the real shooter stylishly slung his rifle around his back.

"Greetings and salutations", he droned forth, offering a hand, "I am Infinitron; I know that you and your friends have been copying my style of vigilantism. Congratulations, I have a job for you."

    Monday 19th - 13:30 - Talos Island

A stealthy gunman checked and double-checked two pistol clips. Both full, the steel weapons slid back into place under a black coat, barrels cocked and ready to fire. Effortlessly, the gunman jumps down from the roof and strides out of the alleyway, flitting quickly between the shadows cast by the buildings. Once within fifteen meters of a grouped Tsoo clan, the gunman silently planned how to confidently dispatch them all before they could react. In a matter of seconds, the dual pistols were raised, focused and poised for action.

Suddenly, the target burst into flames and began to scream. Not missing a beat, the gunman opened fire into the group, picking off head-shots where possible. As the last sorcerer fell, a silver clad figure shimmered into view; bending down and picking up a glowing stone off the body, he rose back to his feet and stared straight at the shadow-cloaked, pistol-wielding gunman.

"It's safe to come out" he droned, "I am Infinitron, I know that you and your friends have been imitating my style of vigilantism and as it happens, I am in need of your skills."
  3. I had considered to do this as part of my current plotline. Do it in Warburg (unfortunately would exclude lower levels) and have people hunting Infinitron; with the story that I had been spotted there. And the result of whoever i managed to take down/ attack, and who took me down (not necessarily in that order) would be written up as the completion of the plot. But wasn't sure a) if it would work, b) if anyone would care; and so have come up with some other ideas for the plot. But i'd be up for this, especially if it was IC but out of plot, as it would be a laugh.
  4. Sunday 18th 17:00
The prisoner, handcuffed, stepped forward to the back of the armoured van. The doors of all 3 were opened, and Infinitron was ushered into the middle one, followed by Officer Kayne. The other two vans were each occupied by 3 members of the capture team. Each van was driven by specially selected higher ranking PPD officers.
Flanked by squadcar escorts, the 3 vans rolled out of the Kings Row compound and headed South.

The news crews swarmed, with the cameras flashing in a blinding wave. In the sky a news helicopter observed the scene with its gyro stabilized camera system.

For the drivers, this would seem like a long 15 minutes.

    Sunday 18th 17:07
The rockets hit. The officers vapourised with the extreme heat. As the officers jumped out of the other vans they were swept away by the villain.

Upon hearing the voice, the up until now docile Infinitron perked up. Kayne looked paniced and didn't notice. With a quick burst of energy the handcuffs were gone; and before Kayne could react, he was hit hit in the chest with a shattering blow. Leaning forward, Infinitron grabbed his sidearm from the holster, and prepared to kicked open the back doors of the van.

But there was no need as the doors were ripped away by the Doc.

"Infinitron, freedom awaits you..." came the voice from the other side.

"Aye it does. But I'm afraid it has other plans for you" and with that he raised the pistol and performed a flawless execution of a double tap to the chest and one to the head.
The Doc was lifeless before he hit the floor, motionless, with blood pooling from the wounds.

The forcefield faltered and dropped, and the fires burned hot. Spinning round to ascertain the situation, Infinitron glanced up at the news helicopter that had captured it all. Giving it a quick salute he turned, tapped something on his wrist and pointed his hand at the ground. From the concrete began to erupt orange light in the symbol of Infinity; and with a step and a flash - Infinitron was gone.

  5. Saturday 17th 13:38
Stepping over the bodies, the officers moved forwards, swiftly and quietly. Every now and then the point man, Officer Kayne, would raise his fist and the team would halt.
Signalling forward the PPD S.T.A.T (Superbeing Tracking and Apprehension Team) would move forward.
Ignoring the groans of the mixed corpses and soon-to-be corpses of Circle of Thorns and Vahzilok members; they pushed onwards into the basement of the warehouse, and then deeper into the tunnels.

They went through some small doors into a large chamber. The walls gleamed with the moisture all over them, the stalagtites dripping down to the ground. The chamber they had entered was comprised of the rim they were on and large pit in the middle of the room.
As the team moved forward, they prepped their Bio Energy Feedback Inducers and checked their sidearms. Edging forward to the edge, Kayne saw the bodies strewn all over the place; and in the centre, an eidolon on his knees with hands behind his head. Infront of him stood Infinitron, seemingly asking questions.

Motioning his agents to move forward and take aim, and once they did so, he stood, raising his own rifle and shouting,
"Don't move Infinitron, you are under arrest, drop your weapon"

    Infinitron glanced up and announced,
"Be right with you", turning back to the eidolon and pulling the trigger. As the latex covered figure slumped down, Infinitron dropped his rifle and turned towards the agents, raising his hands.
"Took you long enough. Oh well, you got me".

    Saturday 17th 17:00
News report, on all channels, this one specifically from channel8 news.
"A PPD correspondent has confirmed that the vigilante known as Infinitron, better known as businessman Joseph Infinus, has been apprehended by PPD officials. He is being held currently at the Kings Row Police Department before his transfer to the Ziggursky Penintentiary Facility tomorrow afternoon."
  6. Friday 16th 07:00
The trolls gathered at the meeting spot for their latest superadine purchase.
"You say you give us the stuff, for half price of normal guy, no matter how much. We like offer"
"Yeah, about that..." came the metallic drone as the silver clad figure stepped from the dark, rifle raised, and opened fire.

    Friday 16th 10:00
The chanting of the circle priests on the three adjacent rooftops was enough to block out the incoming whine from above.
The green glow around each of the victims, dimmed and vanished as each priest fell; their robes soaking up the blood.

    Friday 16th 12:30
The sky raider skiff plummeted to the hangar doors of the complex, a single bullet hole through the canopy - and the pilot.
The grenades followed it, bouncing through the hole. As the incendiarys went off, all the windows were blown out by the explosion, as the inside - and it's occupants - all burned.

    Friday 16th 17:00
The council agent lifted his binoculars at the approaching obejct in the sky. Unable to make out what it was he signalled to his partner on the opposite side, and pointed it out. Returning to the binoculars, the last thing he saw was his own reflection on the shine of the bullet.
Before his partner could even react, the second round went through his chest and dropped him to the floor.
The men below packing the boxes would have no warning.

    Saturday 17th 13:00
Landing in Kings, Infinitron moved silently up to the door of the warehouse, invisible, unseen. Moving past the 2 guards that he'd taken down with one shot, he opened the door slowly and quietly and slipped into the building; checking his rifle as he did so.
  7. As the figure shimmered into view, it was clear it wasn't Infinitron, but instead his Reception Bot ((minus the arms)).
    It's voice box kicked in automatically;
"Infinicorp. offices are currently closed. Please use the website for any correspondence. Mr. Infinus is not available, nor are any other staff", after which it clicked and whirred, and the pitch of it's voice changed.
"Greetings and salutations Edward Johnsson; as you can see I am unable to attend. I don't have time for your little games, and Zero's playground is not an appropriate place for myself at this moment in time. If you really want to meet me, I'm sure you can come and find me. Good day."
And with that the bot, clicked and whirred again and floated off, leaving the Doc to think things over.
  8. Meanwhile...
At the monkey cages in Pocket D's; an occasional shimmer as the light was bent improperly could be noticed by the extremely observant. The cloaked figure waited.
  9. Aye this can easily be done with a bit of forethought. Many sets have some sort of aura power, or you can get whirlwind. I have costumes changes bound to the numpad, and so just hit the key at the appropriate time.

Special emotes wouldn't go amiss though.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Cassandra waited on the roof of Infinicorp building, the sun had set a good long while ago. She held up a stop watch, smirking as it counted down a number of seconds. She waited, patiently.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A disembodied voice eminated from behind Cassandra.
"You have 10 seconds to tell me what you want before I put you down. I know you work with Edward Johnson, and that's the only reason you are still alive; what is his interest with me?" said the invisible metallic voice of Infinitron.
  11. Near the statue of galaxy girl, behind one of the large rocks, the leaves began to rustle. Shimmering in and out of view, a figure could be seen picking up a large folder before disappearing; muttering to himself,
    "Thanks Sean".
  12. With a heavy thud, the rockets cutting off sharply, Infinitron landed on a building overlooking his own.
Seeing the banner down the side of it, and noticing the logo of Doctor Mechano on it, he merely shook his head.

He then felt a tingle in his back, spinning around he found a clockwork hovering behind him, giving its all in electrocuting him. He merely stepped forward, grabbed its head in his hand and released energy as he crushed it; cogs and bits of metal falling to the floor.
Throwing the remains down, he tapped a panel on his wrist and a layout of the city was projected, with several spots highlighted. Tapping again, it retracted.

With a shimmer, he was gone.
  13. The vahzilok eidolon looked to his surgeons,
"Get these bodies inside now, the army needs replenishing and we..."
he stopped as something bounced against his foot. Looking down, he saw the small round object. It was the last thing he saw.

As the grenade exploded, the Eidolon was vapourised immediately, the mortificators however were not so lucky. Their legs were torn from their body, and they flailed on the floor screaming in pain. Luckily for them, their pain was short lived.
The sniper rounds hit them before they even heard the shots.

A hundred metres away, the trees rustled slightly as something within them moved.
  14. Red sky at night, Sheperds delight, Red sky at morning, Hellions warning...
The Hellion stuffed the rag into the bottle and lit it. Winding back his arm to hurl the molotov cocktail in through the window; he was understandably surprised with the fact it shattered and exploded at the peak of its arc above his head. Covering him in the flammable liquid which promptly did what it was desgned to do - combust.
Screaming and writhing around in pain, the others around him turned in panic. His screaming stopped abruptly as another shot rang out tearing through his cerebrum.
The others began to run; but they could not run fast or far enough. One by one they fell; one shot, one kill.
The last one, backed into an alley, crouched down, he cried for mercy. As the figure of Infinitron shimmered into view and raised his rifle, he merely shook his head and took the shot.
Before the body had even slumped to the floor, Infinitron was gone.

The guards at the Perez Park hazard gate were knocked over by a sudden gust that ripped past them. Looking at each other puzzled, they shrugged and got back to their feet.
  15. Paragon City – Sunday 11th January 2009
    7:59
Around the city, people wait. They have turned on their televisions to see this person who has taken away 5 minutes of the regularly scheduled viewing. Some flick between channels, but to no avail; every channel shows the same, an announcement from Infinicorp. will follow shortly. Then the screens flick to black.

    8:04
The screens flicker back to the scheduled programming; everyone watching sat in mild disbelief.

    8:06
The video was already on Youtube, techno whizzes getting it transferred expediently, posting the URL on forums and blogs around the world:
    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PDILiApQKiU
Also transcripts of the message began to pop up all over the net, being analysed for any further meaning, or just for the disbelief:

“Greetings and salutations citizens of Paragon. I come to you today with a message; a message of hope, a message of duty and a message of Peace. For it was Vegetius who wrote, “If you want peace, prepare for War”.
I have fought for this city for many years now, I have done my duty. I have seen and orchestrated the downfall of many plots to corrupt and destroy this city. I have stopped the criminal element from going about their devious ways from the local hoodlums, to the demonic beings, to the invaders from other realms. No citizens, I am not looking for gratitude; I am looking for justice. For I have seen and done these things – but what for? I believed I was improving the city; but the criminals do minimal time, break out and escape, are ‘rescued’ by the hand of Arachnos – a force that the government won’t touch, and then these lowlifes are back doing what they were doing with equal fervor. They do not perceive a threat to what they do. They do not fear us. This, is going to change.
It is said that we protectors of paragon have 2 choices; “Die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain”. Well I was never the former; with the pain I caused in Eastgate, I fooled myself into thinking I could change; that redemption was the answer. It wasn’t. There is no such thing; the inmates of the Zig have proved this. A leopard does not change its spots, and neither do I. So I will take it upon myself to do for this city what must be done, what your heroes cannot. I’m going to end this, one bullet at a time.
So criminals and scum, listen up.
It is open season on crime; I no longer operate within the confines of my hero licence. Punishment for your crimes will be permanent, justice will be swift. My work has already begun, by me picking off some of the lowlife elements that inhabit Steel Canyon, and that warehouse in Independence Port. To even the playing field, as it were, I have relinquished my emergency transport beacon that ties me into the city network. So you can come for me if you want, and I will take you down in self defence; you heroes must see the sense in what I must do – so if you try and stop me, I will assume you are protecting these scum and are therefore with them. If not, then I have one piece of advice for you all. Run and hide.
    Run.
    And.
    Hide.
    I am coming.”

    8:07
An explosion reverberates around the city. In Perez Park, a number of craters have appeared and the bodies of many vahzilok, skulls and circle of thorns lay strewn beside them.

    The war has begun.

((Reactions please. Currently Infinitron is unaccounted for. Investigators may want to start at the Infinity building, Infinicorp. Headquarters, Steel Canyon [PM me if you want more details]. Any heroes who wear silver armour will be getting a lot of attention from villains and authorities alike; feel free to play that how you like.))
  16. Next Dimension looked at the clock on the building as he flew past.
    7:25
He still had time to drop off the items to the University and get to the flat before 8:00.
What are you upto Joe?, he thought,it never went like this; and with a burst of light, accelerated.
  17. Grabbing both Gemme and Timothy, the Dwarf form grunted once more, and with a bright flash, he, the two victims and anyone holding onto the dwarf were gone.

Materialising in the street, the Dwarf form glanced around to get its bearings, and looked up to see the fortress plummeting towards the ground. Scooping up the two victims once more, but leaving any heroes who had ported with him, he burst into light and vanished once more.

Materialising again, this time in Atlas Park hospital, the sudden appearance of a 8 foot tall Kheldian caused mild panic, and people rushed to help with the two people he carried.
  18. ((due to unforeseen circumstances and some foreseen circumstances (i had a change of mind of something important) pretend that the above announcements for Saturday (today) actually are for Sunday the 11th. If I'm going to do this, i'm going to do it properly and how i want it, not rush it out half cocked. Back to the workhouse ))
  19. Have given my entry a much needed update, in note of recent and upcoming events - so people can be aware of any backstory of his they have missed.

    http://union.virtueverse.com/index.php/Infinitron
  20. Walking into the lobby, Agent Grant looked up at the damage strewn walls, and moved toward the 'receptionist' bot.
"Infinicorp. offices are currently closed. Please use the website for any correspondence. Mr. Infinus is not available, nor are any other staff" it said monotonously.

"Open the lift doors, Agent Grant, FBI. I need to see Mr. Infinus immediately" he announced showing his badge to the bot.

"I'm sorry Agent Grant, but Mr. Infinus is unavail..." the bot began and then stopped.
"Please go straight up" it the uttered, as the lift doors slid open.
"Thankyou" he replied as he stepped into the lift, the doors sliding shut and the lift rising expediently to the top floor.

As the doors opened, the figure of Joseph Infinus, in his Infinitron armour could be seen sat at a large desk in the dimly lit room, with plastic sheeting on the floors and scaffolding around the walls.
"Good evening sir. I am Agent Grant, FBI" he once again announced.
Infinitron just sat there staring at the Agent. Grant stepped forward closer to the hero.
"I am afraid that I am going to have to take you into custody for breaking the rules of your hero licence, and for the murder of the individual known as Assassion" he said, reaching to his belt and unholstering his sidearm,
"Of course, you resisted arrest, and were threatening towards me; and I acted in self defense and had to put you down. Before you go, the Marcone family says Goodbye" and with that he raised the pistol and put two rounds through the helmet of the hero. A smile crossed his face as he thought about the massive contract he had just pulled off; he could now retire in peace and spend time with his family.

"Well you can tell them Thanks for thinking of me when you see them next" came a voice from behind the Agent that made his eyes go wide and his heart race.
The last thing he heard was the clicking back of the hammer on the Beretta M92F; a dull click and a thwup; and the agent slumped forwards to the floor, on the plastic sheet which neatly collected the pooling blood.
Kneeling down beside the body, Joseph Infinus muttered,
"not today, not today", before walking over to his suit and removing the empty damaged helmet.
"Damn, wished he'd gone for the chest; ah well i have spares" he commented as holstered the pistol, and glanced back at the body, "let's get you cleaned up".
  21. 18 months here form my namesake main, and still the only one i got. 30 month vet now and next nearest is a lvl 32 PB, a couple of mid 20's, loads of mid-teens, and a thousand deleted alts.
  22. "Turned out it wasn't him Sir, just some cape called Venturian - wears silver and a red cape" said the Agent to his stern faced superior.
"Ok, keep up the work, we need to find him before Saturday, especially after what I just learnt in Galaxy" muttered Agent Grant.
    "Sir?" the Agent questioned.
    "Dismissed" Grant said firmly.

Looking down at the file in his hand, Grant rubbed the bridge of his nose. Looks like he wasn't getting back to Alice and the kids tonight either. Glancing up, his eyes rested on the Infinicorp. building, 2 blocks down.
Whilst I'm here, he thought to himself and set off towards the building, sub conciously checking for his weapon and tucking the file under his arm.

((Sorry to the person who has a toon called Venturian (if they exist), made it up on the Spot))
  23. The Dwarf form of Next Dimension stomped forward, lifting its arms for everyone to grab hold of, as it grunted impatiently and began to glow a little brighter.
  24. The city was a buzz with talk of the strange announcement that had appeared in the papers and on news reports;
"...and for the troops in the middle east.
In a more local story, business tycoon Joseph Infinus, who it was revealed earlier this year was the hero of the city Infinitron, has an announcement to make. He hasn't issued a statement though, but has bought up a 5 minute slot on every channel, including this one, for 8:00 Saturday the 10th of January, this coming Saturday.
Considering his last public declaration was him revealing his identity and going into early retirement, only to be called back on the Rikti invasion, people are very interested in what he is going to say. No contact has yet been made with Mr. Infinus, so it seems we may have to wait until Saturday for our answers.
The time is coming up on 8:13, over to Sally with the weather..."

    laying claim...

    Meanwhile in Steel Canyon...
The figure of Joseph Infinus slumped back into his chair, still staring at the screen. Laying the newspaper carefully back on his desk, he stroked his chin.
"Well, that was... unexpected" he muttered "it will make my work over the next few days easier" he continued to himself.
With that he turned back to his desk and the reports and blueprints that were organised neatly all over it.
Picking one file up, he turned to a large display on the wall and announced "Open file 212, display blueprint and photos", as he did the image of a warehouse in Independence Port flickered up.
