I completely changed my attitude on Statesman and the entire team.
This is Damage Control.
Period.
A ton of players have quit and so Cuppajo (bless her heart) is worried. She posts this now we all love the Devs again.
That is nonsense.
90 pages of posts on do not add the SS/SJ nerf. Not one word from a Dev in the official thread - which is now locked.
A stealth nerf to Burn - haven't seen that yet? Statesman wanted it last time and we fought it off. Well he just flat put it thru in SILENCE.
All this is posturing by Cryptic because they are being hounded by many players that say the game is NOT FUN NOW.
We won't play if its not fun.
If you think this is NOT Damage Control you are quite Naive.
The Devs DO NOT respond if they have decided to do a change against the overwhelming number of players wishes. Past track record PROVES it. Statesman even did Damage Control earlier throwing a FUTURE bone to SS/SJ - because the nerf was live now.
Last Issue Statesman flat out said we need to talk to you more when we disagree - WHEN WILL YOU START? We talked until we spent more time here than in the game.
We tested and all our testing was ignored TIME and AGAIN. All the pathetic Dooom and Pie nonsense does not change the fact that MANY people are upset about these changes.
So Statesman your joke about doooom when real troubles were being discussed was downright rude. I spent 800 HOURS of my life on a single tanker that was level 50 here. I deleted him and all but one of my other characters because of your cavalier attitude.
Yes, when someone tosses a stealth nerf out that affects 500-800 hours of my life - I am upset.
What was the nerf? Taunt was changed so that Tank powers that cause Fear will not alow a mob to be taunted back in the Fear Power.
What Tank power causes fear?
Burn.
You can't keep mobs in Burn if you stack more than one patch. So you must let it die and start another no overlapping and you must run continual taunt or Burning Aura so ANY stay in.
Tauntbot again.
Damage Control is in effect and if you do not think so ask why was the SS/SJ OFFICIAL THREAD LOCKED? -

I am very happy I never had to see what the Burn nerf did to my 6 tanks.
It is not a bug - it is a direct nerf to fire tanks. What tanker power causes fear? Burn.
Taunt will not return a mob in Fear.
Does it need to be spelled out any further? He wanted this exact nerf last time and we fought it. Well he Stealth nerfed it this time.
I never saw one single post saying - Fire Tanks please come test a change we are thinking of. It was purposeful and intentionally a NERF.
These Devs DO NOT play the game you do. They want you to play it as they DIRECT YOU TOO. This is blatent and obvious.
Do your little missions in a row like good little clones. Do your TF as we direct. Don't kill Kraken they are endangered.
Above all things do not have any fun not directly approved of. -

I do not find it FUN to fight like a Tank with my blaster because then I die. If you disagree fine.

I pay $15 to play this game every month. I play to have FUN. These constant Nerfs because of PvP are not FUN.
Nerf PvP however you want to. Nerfing a solid and FUN PvE is assinine.

I am very sorry to burst your bubble - at level 33 your blaster Fire/Fire is a god among blasters. At level 40 you will get a fresh taste of concrete.
Those terrifying AoE's will make you die and die again. Tanks will not be able to keep them off you because of the DoT.
Just wait until a Zeus Titan sticks a fist full of rockets in your ear. Or that Master Illusionist drops you faster than a prom dress.

I love my blasters until about 38 on. Then it literally was perma max debt. Yeah Statesman how a bout nerfing debt for blasters. They are able to make it perma without even using Hasten -

They did not make it because the PLAYERS were passionate.
The Apathy Squad got nothing done. They waited to see. The passionate ones fought for the love of the game. The Apathy crowd just quietly moved to WoW, EQ2 and so on.......... -

I do not and will not play PvP and YES it IS Primarily PvP that drives this nerf to SS and SJ.
If you wanted blasters out of the game just ask us to delete them. I am angry that you would even CONSIDER this. Blasters are the weakest of all characters and now you hamstring them.
I am sorry I do not believe you actually play this game any more. Try taking a blaster from level 32 to 50. Try it.

I will discuss this a try to stay reasonable.
SS+Stealth was over powered? How many people have been calling to nerf blasters because they are PL'ing people by herding?
Blasters are the worst affected by this change and if you do not have a respec left you have a broken and useless character. So I hear people say use binds to drop and restart it?
Excuse me? I use it for a YEAR and it is not changed until PvP rolls along. I will not be doing PvP but they nerf some of my powers anyway.
The argument it was overpowered will hold water when Blasters can herd and kill as Tanks or scrappers do. Look at the reality of this sick situation.
The rules all say Blasters are king of damage. Scrappers cap at 500% and blasters at 400%.
Statesman said Tanks will do 75% of Scrapper damage and Scrappers will do 75% of a tanks defense.
75% of a Scrappers damage is 375%. So a Tank with all of his armor caps out 25% below a blaster with NO defense to ANYTHING. No mez protection, no smashing lethal, NOTHING.
Step back and see why this change is suicide for most blasters. Now you can't get in or out safely. You have to shut it off to attack.
I know people have not considered this. They say Tanks and Scrappers are more at risk and I say BULL. Tanks almost NEVER get 1 or 2 shotted by anything but an AV. Yet they have almost the same damage as a Blaster. Think about it.
I love blasters and that was my first character. But now they are lessening them more than any other group. -
I have tried it and hated it.
I will never be playing it again. But you continue to Nerf PvE powers that have been established and in the game for nearly a YEAR for your glorious PvP balance.
I am picking up Guild Wars tomorrow and if it is remotely playable I for one am gone.
Will Crey Power tanks with SS get acc nerfed? How about all of the villains that Fly and attack with no acc penalty - Freaks, Sky raiders and the list goes on.
We are nerfed at every turn and yet our foes have OUR POWERS and NOT OUR RULES.
Sorry, I have defended this for the last time. I tried to be a voice of reason in the blaster forums to see 2 days later a nerf to at least 75% of the blasters play styles.
You do realize this means EVERYONE will have 6 slot Hover or 6 slot Combat Jump until you nerf them as well? -

And by Odins Hoary Balls hardly ANY discussion on what the blaster role is and how to help the blasters do it.
Grow up and use this space to give the Devs somewhere to look for helpful insight into gameplay.
I will provide my idea of a blasters role and how I do it during gameplay.
A Blasters Role
A blaster is there to quickly remove a threat to the team or solo to use tactics and the mechanics of the game to complete missions and street sweep if desired.
Point by Point explanation
A blaster is there to quickly remove a threat to the team - I use my control aspects to active status effects or use pure damage on to the enemy.
This is my role and to be MORE effective I could use a lessened aggro component to Fire damage. I have seen using only single target attacks at the same time as other blasters (Ice, Energy, Electric, AR) use their attacks and I am the only target that is attacked - Likely due to DoT attacks.
I would also like to see a Tanks taunt override ANY blaster attacks including Fire Rain/ Freezing Rain that draw aggro. So a tank or scrapper should be able to both keep me alive and keep them in the area affected or else why team?
or solo to use tactics and the mechanics of the game to complete missions and street sweep if desired. - I use Super Speed and Stealth to allow me to attack more safely. Also to finish MANY missions without having to defeat all but instead defeating guards and clicking glowies as required.
I use the mechanics of the game to hold a mob in a door to block access out, Turn a corner and fire / duck back to lessen aggro damage. I Joust Bosses and AV's as needed and use Burn, Ice Patch or similar attacks as a way to cover me from Status Efffects.
To aid me in this it would be HIGHLY useful if the maximum range of Status Effect and ranged Villain powers was 75% of a Blasters range. Then I could make safer use of my range and while not safe from all ranged attacks I could still escape if needed instead of being held and chopped to death by a rikti sword or have Rikti monkies dance on me. -

Earned? I can camp at Hamidon in a team with 1 player that fires 1 shot at Hamidon and still get an HO. This is work?
You maybe didn't do this, but you know and so do I that others have done exactly this.
This will not be ever settled because some people crave loot. You obviously do. I don't and neither do many others. I do believe it should be an added class of either non-Hamidon O's or an Open league.
Either of these fixes the problem. You fight Open you get it all - You fight Non-HO and you get that - Simple. -
The Devs have solved one of the silliest things in this game.
Farming Werewolves.
The timer was the solution many people suggested and it should help clear out some of the tells you get as a high end tank.
Such as: hay u got wolves mish? Can you pl meh?
Now people can go back to playing the game hopefully. -

I am sorry but I think you people have it completely wrong.
I would believe there is only a LIMITED number of cameras.
I would imagine 8 - 10 of them in FIXED positions. You can use keys to scroll thru the cameras you like to watch the view you want to.
You won't have a fleet of hundreds of drones. You will have a few cameras that will various aspects of the arena. I would think 8 cameras or perhaps 9 for a center over-head.
I would lay them out like this:
X.........X..........X
X.........X..........X
X.........X..........X
This gives fair coverage and destroying one or 2 won't cause major issues with watching part of a battle but would allow some privacy for strategy. -

One other solution LOCK TRAY.
I have numerous times hit the stupid arrow switching trays while fighting and had to quickly scroll back to the Tray. -
When teamed with another member of your SG your % of experience rises in relation to how many got points from your fight.
For example:
We have an 8 man team and 6 of the team are in the mission, 1 is training and 1 is traveling to the mission. We "gang up" on a group and 6 of us are in the zone fighting and recieve experience. We get a 6% bonus for having done damage as a TEAM.
This does not allow for Power Levelers to get extra bonus because you only get the bonus IF YOU DO DAMAGE or REPAIR DAMAGE.
Now your team is - amazing concept - gaining more experience BY WORKING TOGETHER. So you Buff, Debuff, heal or attack and you and you team get 1% added for everyone that helps.
Talk about encouraging grouping. Tell a player he can get 8% more points if he gets help and you will see people kicking afk players to bring in an active one. You will see many more large teams because then the big missions full of creatures would also give a bonus at the end for all defeated.
Thats what I would do is add the bonus at the end with the mission completed so they wouldn't pay to farm them. -
Once we have SG Bases have every train station list Home as an instance.
So if I am in Atlas and my SG is in Founder Falls I can click Home from the train and go to my SG base without the travel across 4 or more zones. -

You are assuming everyone plays as you do. I play differently and for a good reason - immersion and enjoyment.
I will almost always solo my missions - except AV's because I can get into the story and read all of the clues when I am solo.
I can SLOW DOWN when solo. In a group they click get a mission and everyone bundles off to fight. Solo I read my mission. If I get a clue I stop and read it. In a group the dynamic is FAST. If you stop to read a clue the group will be off fighting without you.
So bosses being harder makes it impossible for some of my guys to solo. I have a Grav/Rad controller. He is 26 and has no missions from anything over lvl 14.
Why? He can't solo an even con group of 3 that is normally in each mission. My strongest attack has the same damage as brawl. Nice?
In a group he is amazing. In fact I was able with an SK to lock down 3 lvl 45+ AV's in a row.
But I can't defeat a balloon.
So in this case all the content is lost on this character. I tried to do the respec post I3 and the final room bosses in the last wave destroyed me and shortly after my team. So if someone doesn't have a Golden character (I do have some) they are at an EXTREME disadvantage in play and in leveling at a reasonable rate. -
Increased damage
Less endurance
Less accuracy
