  1. Lord H'taed stood, still rubbing his smarting head.

"Pain..." He hissed. He narrowed his glowing red eyes beneath the darkness of his hood.

The dome was responsible for his head-ache. Therefore it needed to be obliterated into tens of thousands of tiny pieces.

H'taed conjured a mud bomb in his hand, and walked towards the dome, imangining its impending destruction.

    -----

Charles hovered a few dozen feet over Shimmer's base, glaring down at it through his red tinted glasses.

Deciding he should simply test the automated defenses first, to see how they worked without their master's guidance, he shot a narrowed beam of telekinetic lance energy at the nearest turret...
  2. Also, should sig powers be affected by other sig powers? Take in PvP for example...You have just be uber pwned slowed by an ice blaster. You have no attacks up. They are still tiny little blips in the backround. (Even your quickest recharge)

But what about your sig? Will it still recharge at the same speed?

I personally think that any outside force or intervention (like ice powers) should not be able to affect the overall recharge of sigs. Again, sigs recharge time should only be reflected by how you spend your points.
  3. The sad thing is, it's IMPOSSIBLE toi lose to Tyrant with Statesman fighting along with you...

    Why?

Because Tyrant doesn't have unstoppable or Zeus's lightning bolt, and he can't spam them.

So this mission is practically an auto-win.
  4. No, the recharge should ONLY be affected by points spent on it, not by other powers such as hasten.
  5. Beneath the sheet...

    Was nothing.

There had been nothing but air beneath the sheet. Apparently, Charle's mind did not obey the laws of horror flicks or physics.

There was, however, a single white card on the table.

    It read...

    "We Regret to Inform you..."

    -----

    The magma dome opened slightly.

Charles Dark Aura walked out, fully healed.

The magma dome sealed behind him.

    He snickered.

Shimmer and Xivilai were still trapped inside. And the brilliant punchline was...

He had weaved his mind into the cacoon.

So they were now effectively trapped in his mind.

    FOREVER.

He laughed psychotically. The only way they could escape the deranged aybss of his mind was if the dome was destroyed. And they couldn't move their physical bodies while their minds were trapped. Soon enough, they would rot away long before anybody found the dome and cracked it open.

Plus, if their MINDS died inside of his mind, they died anyway. A nice double trap.

Charles turned back to Shimmer's base, and started to fly towards it again. He needed to make sure not one brick stood upon another, after all...

    -----

There was a soft *DING* from behind Xivilai.

The elevator doors opened, and out walked a ten foot tall behemoth made entirely of gore. No skin, no bones, just GORE. A meat monster. The hulking monstrosity slowly shambled over to Xivilai. The elevator door snapped shut behind him, and then sank into the wall, disapearing.

Xivilai and Shimmer were trapped in the hospital, and the hospital was trapped in Charle's mind. Not exactly the best place to be.

    -----

Lord H'taed blazed across the ground until he reached a land of fire and brimstone. His intention was to skim all the way to the ice zone, when...

    *SMACK*

He ran headlong into a large dome made of molten magma.

He rubbed his smarting head, got up, and glared at the smooth and solid dome.
  6. LR: Ghost Widow! Today we must execute generic evil plan No. 912,743! I need you to steal the crystal of Serafine!

    GW: Again?

LR: What do you mean 'Again'?

GW: 'Again' as in we are stealing the crystal again.

LR: Nonsense! We've only had the crystal ONCE since it was recovered by heroes!

GW: That's pure [censored] and you know it. Villains bring in MULTIPLE COPIES OF THE CRYSTAL AT THE SAME TIME after doing the strike force for Ice Minstral. Villains throughout the Rogue Islands get the mission to retrieve the crystal in newspaper missions. Scirocco over there has all his patrons retrieve the crystal for him! So at the end of the day, we have anywhere from five thousand to a hundred thousand crystals of Serafina lying around. Of course, they all get recovered by heroes, but my point being is that this will NOT be the first or even second or even the thousandth time you've asked someone to get the crystal back.

LR: Well get the damn crystal anyway.

GW: I already got it for you twelve times yesterday.

    LR: I don't care. Go.

GW: Make me. You don't pay me enough to have to go through this foolishness.

LR: I don't pay you! You're BOUND to Arachnos via that mystic ritual spell of eternity!

GW: Exactly. I must feel and behave the same way the majority of Ararachnos does. Most of them are sick and tired of having to put up with that damn crystal, so none of them care, therefore I don't care.

    LR: Grrrrrrrr...

GW: Just ask Black Scorpion or Mako or SOMEONE ELSE to do it.

LR: I have a bit of a confession to make...

    GW: What?

LR: I already have asked everyone else...
  7. The mub bomb stuck to the arrow.

    It flew through the air.

Since it had not specifically been aimed at Lord H'taed, it was an easy thing for him to catch the arrow as it flew past him.

Then the mub bomb exploded in a heavy blast of energy, creating a third crater and filling the air with a static haze.

Lord H'taed still stood tall, not the worse for wear. He was naturally immune to his own inate element.

Then he activated his lightning reflexes and he was gone, just in time for the rain of fire to miss him entirely.

    However...

Burning Fang hadn't taken a little something into account.

    They were in a FOREST.

The fire scattered onto SEVERAL trees, lighting them up like fire crackers.

Then the wind started to blow...and stray cinders blew into more trees...

Burning Fang had just started a forest fire. Lord H'taed had realized all hell was about to break loose and had made a run for the hills.

Then the trees began to fall...

Three burning giant logs of doom fell towards Bio Hazard.

Another thing Burning Fang had discounted were that some of the trees here were taller then sky scrapers.

Including a few he had set on fire.

While the fire could not spread up the tree that quickly, the bases had already been signifigantly weakened.

Burning Fang heard a huge whoose noise behind him...

As a tower tree bigger then the Empire States Building began to fall towards him, eclipsing everything in his view. Thousands of tons of pulverizing wood rushed down onto him.

    -----

Shimmer's energy beams blew apart most of the zombies, and maimed several of the others after a few well placed shots. That threat was taken care of.

Still, there did not appear to be any exit from the room. The elevators had no call buttons, and the pool of blood had risen another few inches.
  8. The magma dome cracked all by itself and opened, revealing the darkness.

    BEFORE Shimmer had hit it.

    His hands flew through nothing...

And that's when he lost his balance and fell into the magma cacoon.

The lava pooled and sealed the hole back up again.

    -----

Shimmer suddenly found himself in what was a classic Black Heart Hospital Ward from the Rogue Islands.

Only that there was blood splattered on the walls, dripping from the ceiling, and pooling up to his knees on the floor.

And there were dead bodies EVERYWHERE. Some rested against the walls, others were strapped to operation tables, and a few had been flayed and stretched across the ceiling like silly putty. Some had their heads blown off, others merely had theirs twisted 180 degrees, some were missing faces. (Which had been torn off.) Most of the actual bodies had been shredded and tattered, revealing the gory innards of each corpse. Only their organs were missing.

He probably observed SEVERAL body parts simply hanging in the air, floating about.

He also probably noticed that the giant pool of blood was RISING, it was already at his waist.

And he had arrived just in time to see a shadow streak through one of the elevator cracks.

And the fifteen shredded and flayed inhabitants of Charle's psychotic mind now shambling over to him.

    -----

Xivilai found himself in a darkened room.

    There was no blood.

    There wern't any dead bodies.

The room was spotlessly and impecably clean.

He could see his own face reflect off the impossibly smooth and clean reflective green tiled floor.

The white washed walls practically glowed softly in the darkness.

The grey ceiling was a grey expanse, devoid of even the slightest flake of dust.

In this room, there was a single operating table. There was a figure lying beneath a white hospital sheet.

Xivilai thought that for the smallest of moments, he heard a soft chuckle.
  9. The elevator doors opened with a soft ding.

All THREE of them, that is.

From each poured five more zombies.

The elevator doors closed behind him. Then Xivilai probably noticed two things.

The elevators had no call buttons.

And the pool of blood on the floor was RISING. It was up to his waist now.

    -----

The energy blast cracked more off the magma dome...

    And as it cracked...

A Psionic lance of mental energy screamed through the crack into Shimmer's head.

More lava suddenly rose up around the dome and re-sealed the crack.
  10. No, that would wreck some signature moves.

My Stalker, "The Lord of Rags" has a planned sig called "Curse of Rags." It's not supposed to do any damage, it just debuffs the holy [censored] out of the target. (-acc -dam -def -res -regenhp -regenend)

Remember, these things are being designed with INSANE recharge timers. Anywhere from accolade recharge length to an hourly usage only. Negatives can be allowed. Remember that people won't be spitting them out every ten seconds, rather ever hour or so. Which means that over multiple fights, or even multiple enemies, the sig is practically worthless, especially ones designed to target one enemy. (Like mine)
  11. As the axe hit the magma shield...

There was a flash in the attacker's mind...

'Come in and PLAAAAAAAAAAAY with my mind, meat...'

Then there was a scream, which came from everywhere and nowhere. A PSYCHIC scream to be exact. It ripped through the minds of anything nearby, tearing them and shattering them and even making some smaller brains explode under the pressure.

The lava dome had taken a small crack from the axe attack, but more lava rose from the lava lake to splatter across the shield and harden, reinforceing it.

    -----

As Xivilai entered the magma cacoon, he found something he probabally did not expect.

He was in a hospital ward.

It was a classic Black Heart Hospital Ward from the Rogue Islands.

That's when the gory lung smacked into Xvilai's head and exploded. Then he probably observed SEVERAL body parts simply hanging in the air, floating about.

'Welcome to my mind meat-sack.' A cold voice reverberated throughout the hospital.

'LET'S PLAY.' The blood on the floor started to rise, and one of the flayed corpses suddenly rose, and shambled over to Xivilai like a zombie.

    -----

Of course, nothing like that was actually happening.

    Charle's was a telekinetic.

Telekinetics moved things with their mind.

So they often also had additional mental powers. Any idiot could have figured that out.

Charles had wrapped the inner lair of the magma dome with the power of his mind, both protecting him and helping him accelerate his healing process by transporting him to a comfortable memory.

And anyone who entered the dome would probably be helplessly drawn into the power of Charle's mind as well.

    HOWEVER...

The magma dome was the only thing keeping Charle's illusional reality together. If it fell, then the illusional world would probably lose its structure and fall apart.
  12. FIFTH PAGE?

    I. Am. Disgusted.

Might as well make this blatant bump worthwhile though, so here's a list of more signature powers.

Hamidon: All of his powers are signature. Go figure.

    Dats all folks!

Really though...I wonder what kind of actual time frame this project would take?

We already know the Devs have to manually "Bake" all the powers in game to the point at which they are at now. HOWEVER, Observe Sister Psych. She has SEVERAL energy attacks which are purple, YET THEY ARE STILL THE SAME POWERS as ordinary energy attacks. What's up with that?

Plus, just look at auras. They move, they shift, and they change color. It's the same general principle.

So why would this project even be that hard? Recreating the color alone on powers would be easy, they already do it with most if not all of the main heroes/avs. And if all they are doing is changing the animation, that means it wouldn't be much harder to set up then basic aura costumization...

So really, what is it that's holding the DEVs back in this department? Not that I'm saying it isn't difficult, but it can obviously be done, and I'm fairly sure it could be implemented as another issue feature...But if it could, on the other hand, they probably would have done so already.
  13. ((That clears things up...))

H'taed simply shrugged, and turned to face Bio Hazard.

"Guess I'll just need to kill you while I wait for whatshisface to get back."

With that, he conjured another mub bomb, and playfully threw it at Bio Hazard.

    -----

Charles quickly recovered, and turned back towards the base...

And got smashed in the face by a bolt of energy.

The slight telekinetic shield around him protected a little, so it was too serious...

Then the barrage of beams converged on him.

There was a large explosion of light and energy as they all hit at the same time.

When the light died down, Charles still hovered in the air, smoking slightly. The only reason he wasn't dead was due to his telekinetic shield. His eyes, wide behind his red tinted glasses, made it very clear however that he had just been pulverized.

He fell from the sky, smashing into the ground, thankfully dodging falling into a lava lake.

He raised a crippled hand into the sky...

and slowly, the lava in the lake rose up, and formed about him in a dome. It then hardend, creating a cacoon of stone around him.
  14. Your main villain...

    1:

Lord Diov would hit the button. He seriously does not give a [censored] when that kinda thing happens.

My newest playable character *SPOILER* would hit the button as well. Not because he wants to, but because he's a bit of a pyromaniac.

    2:

Lord Diov would fight both of them.

Why? Well, he's backed by an entire army, I remind you.

My newest character would use his STEALTH GENERATOR to not only steal the McGuffin, but plant a few trip mines as well.

    3:

Lord Diov would take governership of Earth, then screw the Rikti over and rift the entire planet to a different dimension then laugh his [censored] off.
  15. OOC: Just for the record, Lord of Rags is a villain. Stalker. Just thought I'd mention.

    -----

The storm of rags would not be denied. They kept pressing against the bullet-proof glass frame of the sky skiff.

To Commander Fawk's probable horror, the glass slowly began to crack under the pressure being applied to it by the rags.

Then, he observed something from the right view. Two very small rags were fluttering away from the main storm.

They were hefting a large katana through the air. They lowered it, so the buisness end was pointing firmly at him.

Then the two little rags shot forward, and the blade was centimeters from shattering the glass and dicing Fawks.
  16. Oh gawd. Am I gonna have to do this every time this goes blank?

    Sigh.

On the offhand, here's a list of sig powers that sig heroes/villains have.

    Statesman:

Hammer of Justice, foot stomp resulting in your death.

Lightning Bolt of Zeus. Recharges every 1 second when he reaches 5% hp. Auto kills you if you are missing even 0.01% of your health. Unless you dodge. Which won't help, since he'll spam it every second or so.

    Positron:

Positron has no "official" sig powers. However, he has the ungodly ability to be a tanker with rad powers. Evil.

    Synapse:

Electro-Storm, whirlwind animation with static. This is NASTY, knockback, high mag stun, and anywhere from 600-1000 damage.

Hyper Flurry. Flurry with senergy and stun thrown in. Hits for 800 on par.

    Mrs. Liberty:

Nasty nasty NASTY uppercut attack. Looks a tad like knockout blow minus the windup animation. And knockback instead of up.

    Infernal:

Summon demons. Summons 5-8 demons to help him.

Fire Axe. Seriously, do I even NEED to tell you what this does?

    Valkyrie:

Power burst, power spread. Long Range AoE attacks. Resemble energy blasts, but she uses the sword slice animation to use them.

    Malaise:

Basic illusion controler. Only all his attacks are Illusion/Neg. Most of his summons have neg damage attacks along with normal, and he can use dark servnt. ((No proof of this, but several friends tell me he can use it.))

    Lord Recluse:

ALL of his attacks are original. No other NPC in the game uses them.

Summon Executioner. He summones a bane spider boss. Uses once every minute or so.

Emergency Summon. Summons 6-10 bane spider bosses off the bat.

Wicked Blow. Knockout blow with a snazzy red energy aura.

Arachnos Power lance legs. Fires a bnch of beams at you via his arms.

Arachnos Power lance strike. Just hits you with the sharp ends of his legs.

Don't even GET ME started on the patrons...

I would list more, but I'm tired now.
  17. Or statesmans hammer of justice. Or his freaking oiver-powered insta recharged lightning of zeus. Recluse gets to summon ten Bane Executioners all at once. Positron has the ungodly ability to be a tanker with rad/rad. Snyapse has an evil electro-tornado and electro-flurry. Don't even get me freaking started on Sister Psych.

Oh, and if I ever see this on the second page again, I will seriously snap. THIS THREAD MUST MAINTAIN FRONT PAGE STATUS FOR TWO YEARS OR MORE UNTIL IT GETS IMPLEMENTED!

    RAWR!
  18. The Lord of Rags suddenly exploded in a storm of what he was. Rags.

They all fluttered up towards the sky skiff, and crammed their way past the wind shield, and INTO THE COCKPIT along with the captain.

The Lord of Rags reformed directly on top of the poor captain. Not only was he completely obscuring his view, but his katana flashed out from nowhere, and was seconds away from cutting off the sky raider's head. Due to the very small space available, it was unlikely the sky raider would be able to escape the blow without leaping out of the sky skiff.
  19. Charles blinked as the energy bolt ripped towards him. Surely the bot was mad. It wouldn't clear the rocks...

    But it did anyway.

Charle's eyes widened, and he reached forward with his hand, projecting a telekinetic field to slow the shot...

    It slowed, but continued.

Charles shot his other hand out, pumping more juice into the telekinetic field.

    It slowed a tad more.

Charle's was finally forced to slow the orbit of his rock field. They slowed down a little, and the shot slowed...

It still hit him though. Straight in the face. Charle's had learned from the first attack, and had created a telekinetic field about himself to blunt any oncoming attacks, but it still sent him hurtling away like a rag doll.

    However...

    The rocks suddenly stopped moving.

Charle's had been the focus of their orbit. Now there was nothing controling the telekinetic focus. So it shifted to the next valid entity...

    The assault bot.

All ten rocks suddenly started to spin again. However, seeing as the assault bot had no telekinetic abilities to speak of, he couldn't hold back the drawing power of the field. The rocks suddenly shot from their orbits, and homed in on him.
  20. /bump

C'mon, we're slacking here. THIS THREAD MUST LIVE.

LONG LIVE THE SIGNATURE POWER THREAD EMPIRE! IT IS FUTILE TO RESIST! GIVE US SIGNATURE POWERS OR SUFFER OUR WRATH!

Oh, and I also like biscuits, on another matter.

(Lobs biscuit for 9999 damage at a boss)
  21. The announcer turned to his assitant. "What's his name again?"

    The assitant shrugged.

"His name is the Lord of Rags." Said a man wearing black with rd tribal runes on his pants and chaos leather covered by a coat and had his face hidden by a reaper cloth hat and red tinted monocles.

"Oh, thanks...Wait, were'd he go?" For indeed, the mysterious informer had just vanished into thin air.

    -----

"THE LORD OF RAGS!" He shouted. Not a single boo, clap, or cheer was heard. Nobody had ever heard of this fighter before. They didn't know how powerful he could be.

    -----

In the reception room, the Lord of Rags exploded in a shower of rags. They all flitted out a nearby window.

    -----

In the middle of the arena...

A hurricane of rags came from nowhere. They all raced and rushed about, until they imploded.

The Lord of Rags stood in the center of the arena, waiting...
  22. The Lord of Rags didn't even react to Bizzmereo. He just stood there, waiting. He even ignored the entrance of the new person, and the comments of Ruladork.
  23. ((I'm going to branch off a little from the book-worthy ultra post I've been working on to post a quickie here. It's a nice bit about the Husk Lords.))

    -----

    Lord Walker & Tribal

    -----

Lord Walker and Lord Tribal come from an alternate dimension. They are brothers, and they often work together. The dimension they were raised in had a slight tweak in history where a small-time chain sotre franchise called BLOC grew until it covered the entire planet, stomping out all other competion until BLOC was the ONLY buisness left. BLOC essentially controlled the entire planet.

There was a radical resistance movement, of course, and Walker and Tribal were "Odd Job" livers. So they occasionally took mercenary work from the resistance. Due to years of narrowly escaping BLOC, they have perfected they're team-work tactics, and are excelent fighters.

Lord Diov was visiting the dimension for buisness reasons, (he wanted his greedy hands in every major buisness in existance) when he observed the two brothers assassinate a high BLOC official via an interesting and unorthadox, (and still not entirely known and understood) plan involving slinkies, a refridgerator magnet, a J-Pod, and a comically mishappen carrot. They got caught by BLOC gaurds however, and would have been executed, if Lord Diov hadn't stepped in and smoothed things over with a few well placed bribes. Ever since then, Walker and Tribal have worked for Lord Diov.

Walker is a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. He is armed with combat knives, dual .50 modified magnums, and knows boxing. He also has minor skills in just about everything, although these skills are very limited.

Tribal is a sniper, pure and simple. He relied on his brother to create a distraction while he did the real dirty work. He is armed with a compact sniper pistol, complete with micro-focusing view finder. He also has a combat knife, but he prefers a nice good deal of distance between him and his foes at all times.

    -----

    Lord Poe

    -----

Lord Poe comes from a drastically differant time line then ours. In his world, wars were as common as pebbles on a beach, and even THINKING about the word "peace" was a valid enough reason to get shot.

Poe was the son of a World War 932 veteran, who taught Poe from early child hood how to use explosives and pyrotechnic devices. He wanted Poe to be able to plant traps around their home, so they could be safe from the chaos while the father enjoyed his veteran's benifits.

The plan backfired drastically when enemy cyborg zombie ninjas found all the traps using scrying spells, and disarmed them. Then an entire army of 10,000 troops, knowing fully well that it was an unnecessary use of force, marched on the mansion.

Poe's father was killed in the attack, but using a stealth generator that his father had given him, he devised a plan.

Lord Diov was in the dimension at the time, locating a fluxuating rift in space, when he observed the young Poe eradicate the entire army using only 3 well placed land mines. He immediately took the boy under his wing, and Poe has worked for Lord Diov ever since.

Lord Poe is a skilled domolitionist, and has a variety of explosive devices and knowledge on how to use them. Due to his extensive training in the fields of Pryotechnics, he is a bit of a Pyromaniac, and so usually carries a flamethrower, petrol bombs, and a few lighters around at all times. He is equiped with a stealth generator. After all, people don't take kindly to you if they see you planting explosives...

    -----

    Lord White

    -----

Lord White comes from an alternate dimension where during World War Two, Germany and Italy still fell, but Japan actually won the World War single handedly thanks to a freak hurricane which intercepted and way-layed, and eventually destroyed the three secret U.S. bombers with the first Atom Bombs. Japan then apparently conquered the world via mind controling exports. (Such as the J-Pod and "American made" cars.) White grew up in Japan, and since it was the capital of the Japanese world empire, he was a very privileged child who was taught martial arts and combat techniques at an early age.

Lord Diov came to the dimension when he grew interested in the potential stock market of a world-wide empire. While there, he snuck into White's house. (His parents were important politicians) to steal some files he needed. White caught him in the act, and proceeded to kick him in the face after dodging all the attacks from Diov's scyth.

Lord Diov was impressed that White had managed to see through his dimensional cloaking, (This was due to an inherant mutagenic gene, which had some minor benifits on White's body) and that he had been able to weave past his scyth strikes to kick him in the face. So he kidnapped White, brainwashed him, and the rest is history.

Lord White is skilled in martial arts, and has additional long range training. He wields dual .33 modified Uzis, and is armed with a combat knife, although he rarely uses either, and opts mainly for close combat.

    -----

    Lord Nomed

    -----

Lord Nomed was born in an alternate dimension where the Ludites were actually poweful, and had managed to subvert most if not all of the world back into the medival ages. Nomed was not exactly fond of the system, so one day he snapped after being told he would have to wear tights again. A dorment mutant gene within him awakened, and gave him increased strength and durability. He beat the sorry [censored] out of an entire conclave of Ludites, and ran into the wilderness. He spent the rest of his time studying the remains of the ancient society of technology, and became smart enough to actually INVENT his own inter-dimensional portal using notes found in the ruined remains of one of Dr. Aeon's labs.

Of course, at that time, Lord Diov had a monopoly on inter-dimensional travel, since the ludites were stupid enough to not have ANY form of magical or technological defenses to stop him. So Nomed was immediately redirected to Husk Corporation. Lord Diov, after reviewing Nomed's journey, decided that he would be a valuable asset, and hired him.

Lord Nomed is a beast at close combat, his mutant strength is tremendous. He hits as hard as a meteor, and can probably take a few meteors in the face without flinching. Despite his bulky appearance and violent tendancies, (and his habit to foam at the mouth) he is often mistaken to be stupid and clumsy. In reality, his I.Q. is over 300. He remains silent at most times, however, since it gives him a slgith edge in combat if the enemy thinks him dim-witted.

    -----

    Lord Kuro

    -----

Lord Kuro is the only Husk Lord to come from OUR dimension. He is a direct descendant of Frederick the Great of Prussia, (arguably the greatest military mind and tactician to ever live, even having Napoleon remark so when he visited his grave in Prussia) and there is some speculation Nemesis might be a relative, but this is unlikely. Lord Kuro's life is a mystery, and how he came to work for Lord Diov even more so of one. The only reason we even know his heritage is due to his last remaining, (and incomplete at that) birth cirtificate. It shortly vanished after being discovered, but not before scientists determined Kuro's ancestral roots.

Kuro is armed with dual .33 modified uzis and a combat knife. He is also the host for an experiment known only as "Project: DARKFORM. This appears to give him a wide away of various dark powers.
  24. And indeed, the mysterious narrator behind the controls of the photon charge was absolutely correct. The grenade would NOT agree with the rocks, although in a differant manner then expected.

The rocks were spinning fiarly fast now, clocking 600 MPH easily, and still speeding up. The energy got smacked dead on by a rock. However, it was carried AROUND the orbiting loop by the spinning missile...

And once it had completed a complete 360 degree cycle, it was spat back off the rock, and headed right towards the assault bot. Then it chose to explode as planned.

In the meantime, the random energy bolts SOMETIMES cleared the orbiting field of rocky death. One such bolt grazed Charles on the tip of his ear. He frowned slightly.

Unfortunately for the assault bot, he seemed to have forgotten about the telekinetic fire cannon of doom.

It choose to launch at that exact moment. So now teh assault bot had his own photon grenade exploding in his face, a fiery ball of magma death rocketing towards him, and who could forget the still expanding ring of rocks, not but a few feet away now, and still edging closer to pulverize him?

    -----

H'taed took the blow directly in the head, and he was again flung across the open area like a rag doll, crashing into a tree, (which snapped in half and feel over) and creating a huge storm of dust.

His red glowing eyes suddenly appeared in the cloud, and he slowly walked back out of it. There were several heavy dents in his armor, and they previously faintly glowing runes were now shining with intense light, struggling to keep H'taed's intense energetic body under control.

    "Die." He spat.

Then he launched a wave of CARBON SPARKS* at Aoleleb.

((Don't reveal what the carbon sparks do, I want to see how the others react to them first.

Prodiguy is pretty much the only other one here who has had a character exposed to the carbon spark before. You'll find he had a much more pleasent time with it then you did.))
  25. The rock trap fully ensnared Lord H'taed.

Aoleleb, however, had run into Lord H'taed before. This was the very first attack he had used on the avartar of lightning. He should have remembered what H'taed could do.

One of Lord H'taed's favorite tricks were the little globes of destruction he called "Mud Bombs." They were electromagnetic pulse streams clumped into a converged form. These little balls of explosive electrical force were designed to attune to the electrical signature of anything it hit, and STICK to them. Then, after a period of about three seconds, explode in a violent burst of energy.

Lord H'taed used the exact same trick he had used the first time Aoleleb had trapped him.

He simply conjured two mub bombs in both hands.

They both exploded, causing the rock prison to shatter into millions of incomprehenibally small bits, and it caused the tree H'taed had smashed into to fall over, then catch on fire. There was also now a slight crater beneath Lord H'taed's feet.

"Seems so familier..." H'taed muttered. Then he noticed the rock being thrown at him. He recalled a similer rock being thrown at him in the past, in a fassion mostly the same.

There was another flash of light as H'taed conjured a third mud bomb.

A moment of whizzing brilliance as he tossed it through the air.

The slight crackle of static as it smacked into the flying boulder.

Then the fiery explosion of light that blinded everyone as the mub bomb went off, shattering this rock into millions of incomprehensibally small bits, and creating another nice crater in the ground.

Lord H'taed now turned to Aoleleb.

"Feel like I know you from somewhere. It's not exactly in the most pleasent of memories. I'm going to have to make you suffer before you die now."

Another mub bomb was conjured in his hand.

In the blink of an eye, and in a pop of static, H'taed vanished and reappeared not a few inches behind Aoleleb. His hand extended, the mud bomb a few short centimeters away from latching onto Aoleleb's back...

Charles raised both hands in front of him, and the energy bolts bounced off his palms. He was creating thin telekinetic fields around his hands, and was using them to force the shots to bounce off in random directions. However, he could not keep it up all day, and he couldn't deflect every last bolt. The last one got through his gaurd, and clipped him on the shoulder, cutting through his trenchcoat and slicing a tip of flesh away.

Finally, he raised his hands into the sky. The ground shook.

Ten large boulders rose from the ground. They then hung around Charles, like planets hanging about a sun.

"TELEKINETIC ORBIT!" He shouted. The rocks then began to spin around him, deflecting laser bolts as they shielded him.

That wasn't all, however. The elipsis of the rotating boulders grew WIDER. The ring of rocks began to expand, spinning faster and faster around Charles, until they were mere blurs. Soon, the orbit would expand, and the rocks would smash into and pulp the Assault Bot to pieces.
