Statesman is back in the Tyrant mission

Hey! This is good news to me. I have been playing for 8 months now and I have never seen Staes in that mission. I heard he was supposed to be there but he was not on either of the two characters I made it to 50 with. And my scrapper just turned 41 so it shouldnt be long until I get to see that mission the way it was supposed to be! Can't wait.

He's had a cape ever since they finally put capes in the game. I believe he was the first to defeat 15(?) Tsoo. /nod

your = Belonging to you.

If you target him, he's an Arch-Villain!

The sad thing is, it's IMPOSSIBLE toi lose to Tyrant with Statesman fighting along with you...

Why?

Because Tyrant doesn't have unstoppable or Zeus's lightning bolt, and he can't spam them.

So this mission is practically an auto-win.

He's had it as long as I can remember...

I can't recall if it's the same cape though. He has the full shoulder mantle on it, but I can't remember whether he did before or not. I'll need to dig through my screenies.

States doesn't fight along side you versus Tyrant - he drops down after T's defeat.

For my mission, he was a level 54 AV, but had the usuall Inv/SS Tanker stuff. He has the hurl:

StatesHurl (tm)
Hurl

...that does a ton of damage. And then there's the KO punch - 4 figures of damage from all attacks I saw from him.

We invis'ed and TPed to the back cave so that we had some baddies for States to wail on in the tunnels.

I have a few screenshots of him over a few months span. In September of '05 he didn't have a cape on. In Febrary of '06 he has a cape.

Who woulda thought those crazy dates for the name of each screenshot would have come in handy?

I remember doing this mission WAY back in issue 2, states wasnt even in the mission. In fact when you completed the mission it said he slipped out the back just befor you came in...

Yeah, he was added in Issue 5 when the NPC feature where they fight alongside you was put into the game. I'm glad they finally fixed it, though. One of the highlights of that mission is watching him run around and clean up any extra spawns you'd left alive.

Indeed it was. I did it with some friends back in I6 I think (1st double xp weekend), and Statesman never showed up. I've heard many people say Statesman not spawning was a bug.

Luckily, I still can get that mission on my characters. I never persued it specifically for that reason
